I bloody hate Cardiff, obviously.
Let me know what you love about your hometown and/or Cardiff and have a fantastic day!
Working as a flight attendant I visited over 30 countries and there was nowhere I loved as much as Wales
You forgot to mention the Rasta man with blonde dreadlocks who bangs on the bins and wears ski goggles in the middle of summer, he is like the mascot for Cardiff
"the Rasta man" .... his name is Ninjah ;)
Tom L J White lol cool, I just typed it in and found a video about him, thanks mate! And good luck with the music/channel.
Adudewithachannel Lifeisgood omg yesss
But the most clássic persona is the dude that say all the time happy days dilly dilly
If the music career doesn't work out for you, perhaps working for the Cardiff department of tourism or Chamber of Commerce. You have sold me on taking the time to visit when I'm in the UK.
Great video, have a wonderful weekend. Cheers.
i love your videos where you just talk abt cardiff and all, might be studying there soon so i definitely needed this, thank you !
I think the thing with Cardiff is it's just such an easy city to fall in love with. The beautiful parks, the interesting neighbourhoods and the city centre, there's just something about it. That's why you so often meet people who came to the city to study but after graduating they didn't want to leave so they stayed, found work and settled down here.
I'm planning to do my LLM from Cardiff university next year.. i hope it works out well and pandemic is over by then... Cause I'm absolutely loving all videos about Cardiff and Wales in particular
Thanks for this video, Tom. My fiancé and I are planning to go to Wales and it's so helpful to hear your recommendations and opinions. :) Love from Mexico!
Omg this was really helpful and it actually helped me makeup my mind about studying in Cardiff, i actually did all this research from top safest and happiest cities in uk to best party cities, and highest enrollment universities for international students, it's safe, nightlife awesome, and diverse, there's culture and history and all these great sceneries, oh and affordable too, perfect, thank you again ❤
Agreed! Haven’t been back to Cardiff since I was 10 11 years ago 😅 moving in September for uni and I can’t wait!
This video is super helpful! Thanks for sharing the info. I m so looking forward to move to Cardiff in about half a year time
I'm an hour away from Cardiff. Cardiff is bigger than Swansea but I like my hometown 😊
I’m from Swansea too! I’m going to cardiff this year
Haha, I love your outros.
You had me at "amazing nightlife." I should definitely keep Cardiff in mind whenever I plan to visit the UK.
Stop this woman from low-key judging my comments Go to Manchester, it's LIT btw tell jerry I said boom
No mention of Chippy lane or the City Arms!!! Great upload
Cardiff sure is the bee’s knee’s. Absolutely buzzing at its best with plenty to do. I even study animation there at USW.
3 Things I LOVE About Cardiff, Wales!
1. The beginning.
2. The middle.
3. The end.
That should cover just about everything.
this clip is only 5 years old and several venues you mention have been demolished or shut. plus lockdown 😞 Glad you've enjoyed living here - we've been here nearly 21 years.
I am in Cardiff studying English. I am from Brazil. Great video to practise my listening. Cheers!
I'm on holiday in Cardiff in October and I'm staying in the holiday I love the fact that I'm right in the centre of town
Seriously, you and all your mates should go and watch Cardiff City play. You will love it. I think they offer special rates for students too.
bluebirdlegend Students season ticket for £104
You're doing LiveLounge wrong! Start the evening there & load up on cheap drinks while there's still room to manoeuvre & air to breathe. Then, round about the time the bouncers clear away the tables and it starts to fill up with kiddies & the reek of Lynx, get your arse over to Womanby St or Gwdihw or wherever.
Yheaaa i love Cardiff too😍😍😍😍
thank you for this video
Sad fact: Cardiff gets TWICE as much rain as Colchester .... but, looking the bright side, we do have nine pound shops in Queen St alone!
I'm seriously considering moving to cardiff, a lot of my family are dotted around South Wales and everyone who gets on in my family seem to have moved out of the place we grew up, the only problem is my other family and friends are still where I currently live, I was a meeting now hard it was for you to leave family, and friends, cause of course you make friends, and it's such a polite place to live, I've never had any bad experiences my time visiting Wales and the lifestyle is very laid back and hippy like. It's like Australia for that, but was wondering your thought on missing family and friends, if at all. Thanks this has really helped my decision to go even more, my dad does a charity open Mic night, they are awesome.
I'm from Cardiff and although I don't live in the UK anymore I miss it like crazy. Such a beautiful little city.
I live in splott haha
We live in Splott too! Haha, small world.. +)
It's called 'Upper Bay' now. Whateva tf that means.
I loved your accent :D
I'm a student in Cardiff, and oh my god fucking live lounge.
Grew up and lived in cardiff for 20 years. Going back to Cardiff now I've started to like Splott more and more , it's whats left of old Cardiff
Best city on earth
That’ll be Swansea.
Swim away melt.
And when he went into the second fact he forgot about Rolex and I think Gucci in st David’s
Lived here all my life Fairwater For the win
💙
You sold me at castle. :P
Should I move from Melbourne to Cardiff?
Love it. We'd love to show this on Cardiff TV on our regular segment showcasing great local videos from social media. Would you be happy to let us broadcast this with a credit to you?
I live in Cardiff as well
Meet three
its a tiny(compact city) it does not have metro or underground yet, or worldclass italian-french designers it is not on perfume bottles haha,
as for the expense** if your a UK student from a major english city or anywhere in southern england- then yes its very cheap...
that is not the same as most locals or welsh** who earn less, virtually no one is on the london living wage** or even comparable prices too bristol, go too the cardiff market it is cheap by most standards- the comparison of cardiff too most places in UK- is suprising, being that cardiff is the populated & richest city in wales....
cardiff -caerdydd is the only capital city with over 22% green spaces- that is comparable with new york and berlin but not 9% in london.....
it also does not have any(mega skyscrapers yet)....
There’s flannels
Strawberries a pound!
50 mins from city center u do realize its only 4 hrs, porters is ok, some cute students
What’s the lgbt scene like there?
Can't walk to lisvane from grangetown In an hour silly boy
Reckon I could do Strangetown to Lisvane in about 90 mins. Even though I'm born and bred Diff I'm still not entirely sure how to get to Lisvane though. Think it's next to Rhiwbina. Or Thornhill. Dunno.
You were totally privately educated
also LIVE LOUNGE IS THE FUCKING ONE
I was enjoying this till you fully insulted splott.....its not even that bad
Love Cardiff coz it is the town of Godchel,,,,rachel Lester the X factor,,,better than Madonna.
Swansea is better
I sense Champaign Socialism
Yes the people seemed nicer but for me personally it was mainly the weather that made it depressing for me. I couldn't live somewhere that was constantly raining. If it was the opposite I'd suppose yes it would be somewhere I'd consider.
