Everything looked really good too, I'm glad you didn't do too much research into what goes into faggots as they're mainly offal, usually heart and liver, that's why even though they're quite soft and light in texture they're also quite rich, in North Wales a very similar dish to Cawl is also very popular called Lobscouse which is thought to have originated in the Baltics and is known in the UK for being very popular in Liverpool, interestingly a local café to me has a Hungarian chef who makes what she calls a very authentic Goulash, and it's basically Lobscouse with paprika added, I guess stews are stews and every country has it's own basic and nutritious stew.

Awesome video guys!... thanks for coming to wales!.. just to let you guys know. Cwrw is welsh for beer... and Y mochyn du translates to “The black pig”. Du is pronounced “Dee” and Welsh rarebit or “eggy bread” is literally a piece of bread that has been soaked in raw scrambled eggs then shallow fried in a pan.

Welsh rarebit isn't an eggy bread, it's toast with a topping of cheese, beer, mustard and egg yolk mixed in to a topping and then grilled on the toast.

This is the kind of food I grew up on, not in Wales but Lancaster about 150 miles away. We would come home to a big black pot of mutton stew on the range. This is not exactly cawl but so close. The Black Pig seems like excellent value. Welsh cheese is fantastic and the lamb is the best. A tip...Welsh is phonetic, once you learn the alphabet you can say the words. Grammar however is something else. Cymru am Byth!

BIRDS custard is fake custard, made so his wife wouldn't miss out. So by that we can see that custard existed before Birds custard. Was the custard in the video actually Birds custard?

Actually Alfred Bird was born in Gloucestershire and lived in Birmingham when he invented the custard. Both a fair few miles from Swansea. Nice try.

The beer is disgusting. Beer should look bright and alive, not cloudy. The rest of the stuff is oay but not a good advert for Wales.

I can't say I have. I live 7 miles from Cardiff so usually watch films from further afield.

We had fun in Wales. Wish we weren't sick as we could have explored more.

I disagree, it is a beautiful language. Have you ever heard it sung?

Horrible, just horrible, no wonder the Welsh have always appeared more than a little slapstick while three-feet off the ground....this confirms my longstanding suspicion....it's the food I tell you it's the food. My God!!!
