Not really, Cloud is extremely way more famous than Neku by a landslide, so it wouldn't be a thing of "makes more sense." It's actually just what the players want and the developers can do.
Don't get me wrong, I really do want Neku in Smash; it's just a thing that'll never happen. If it does happen, I'd go absolutely insane.

This game deserves way more attention than it’s getting.
What I can say is that this game is definitely worth the price you will enjoy the wonderful combat, story, characters, music and art. The time you put into it will definitely vary if you played this before (those who played the DS or Solo Remix version of the games can still enjoy the music additions and content additions) but it is definitely worth going through and enjoying this wonderful experience.
On top of that it has all the exclusive content from the Mobile version, Remixed sound tracks for the most part and coop? Be it probably tacked on

Honestly one of the greatest games ever. If you have any doubts about this game, then cast them aside. Make sure to either use portable mode, or change motion sensitivity if It's bugging you (It's been very fun for me so far though.) I can literally never express how beautiful this game truly is. Even if you play the DS version that's fine, but if you want to experience one of the most moving, fun, creative masterpieces in all of fiction, then look no further than The World Ends With You.

The original sold roughly 1 million worldwide on the NDS (not including sales on android appstore). If they didn't make a sequel before, I doubt they'll get enough sales to justify a sequel. now.

The new remixed music tracks are insaine but u also can go into menu for the original soundtrack playing :'D and the remote controls for it is really by far one of the best enhanced switch game I've played so far

something abt this trailer was magical man, literally half of the people I know from the community all got into twewy from this trailer in a Nintendo direct. It’s just perfect and pulls you in with intrigue leaving you wanting more. On god the second I saw josh in the trailer that he would be my obsession for the rest of my life 😭
If not Neku in Smash, then I say add TWEWY music to Midgar stage.

I bought this game and I hope with all my heart it never gets a sequel. It doesn't need one, it is complete as it stands already.
Chris Smith but it could get a sequel set in another place of Tokyo with different rules and characters.
Or even do something set in Shibuya but keep just the surviving reapers and Mr. H, without trying to tie the story or characters to the previous game (aside from some references, maybe).
The only problem I'd have with a TWEWY sequel is if it tries to continue Neku's story, other than that it should be fine.

It's not nostalgia bias, tho. The game has the iOS fighting system, which is really dumbed down when opposed to the original game. It's up to people to decide whether the other embetterments the HD version has are worth the price tag (which is >30 bucks more expensive than the phone port and adds "just enough" to it) or not.
Only 1 more hour before I finally own the remake and get to listen to it's amazing soundtrack again!

I dont care what anyone says, i love this game so much since i first played it on the ds, and i just bought the switch version. The soundtrack is still amazing as always and seeing neku and the gang just make me happy. Yeah the control is quite awkward but i can put up with it. You are missing a rpg masterpiece here if you don't play it.
I played it on the DS before, it looks really cool in the trailer.
God I loved this game so much. I hope it gets a sequel. Over ten years and I still have yet to see a game half as good as far as design and unique features.

I never played the original but my friend did and was super excited to get this game. Bought a switch just for this game. So I bought it too and I prefer docked mode just because holding the switch t play it is uncomfortable, but I am sure I would do better in fights if I went to handheld. I have played until the 3rd round 5th day. Great game and one I wished I picked up as a kid for ds

Oh man, this story, these characters, the art style, and the soundtrack immersed me to no end back in 2007. Endless hours sitting in front of those double screens, swiping and tapping away with that plastic stylus. A remnant of those bygone days, but the world it took me to will always be there in that DS cartridge; and I can’t wait to go back. I still don’t have a Switch but this makes it a definite grab in the future.

Best Game I've ever Played, 10/10 even with the docked controls it's hella fun! Fantastic Story including the A New Day Content! and overall the Gameplay is Unique and nothing you've seen in a game before..well unless you've played the orginal DS version or the IOS Port. ...also can someone tell me whatsong is used during that last part of this trailer? it seems to be a more Louder and not as slow and soft version of Run Away, anyone can link/tell me the song?
