Sup Kerorian. He left the stage slightly out of fright, even the tiger does not want to reveal his true nature. Then again we will get his story someday.

The doping and basically what is cannibalism portrayed is completely illegal in that world. You need to understand the nuance of the dialogue and the fact that the scene is also about bullying and unhinged, under the influence people
For all we know Legosi and Bill both were brought up in a similar environment; An environment that sees carnivores as "bad", if they don't control themselves. Where Legosi tries to stay in the shadows and feels bad for being a carnivore, Bill seems to have doubled down on his identification of himself as a carnivore, like he's saying "So what if i am a carnivore ? I am still awesome and i'll show you !". I think Bill is the perfect example of a person undeservedly being punished for things they haven't commited and just giving into the idea at some point, because it doesn't matter if he is one way or another; He'll always be seen as a carnivore with all the connotations, might as well embrace it and stop worrying about giving off the wrong impression as it will happen anyway. Quite the interesting dynamic i think.
Bill just wholeheartedly do the "Be yourself." He accepts and proud of himself, there's nothing wrong being a carnivore. In a way, Bill is used to be in the right, for accepting himself and be proud of it. Unfortunately, this world doesn't accept that.
Ahmad Noor Syifan he also get high on rabbit blood, which some people of his school have the same blood in them, its like your acquaintance having a sample of your peoples blood to get high, don’t forget its a world where carnivor eating herbivores is similar to cannibalism, you talk and work with your food.
@@reyhugo4879 Thats what make this series so interesting, its not like the typical coexist between human and demon nor human and vampire kinda thing. The nature made the carnivore to crave for meat, its only natural to eat it. Then society came to be, one faction needed to oppress themselves so the society could still function. Even so, the government realize it wasn't enough and they let thing like Blackmarket exist to satisfy the oppressed desire. I wouldn't call it "cannibalism" because they're not the same race nor species to one another, more like if you eat your own cat or dog, any being that could get you attached to them. Its still messed up, because it makes me think the reason we can eat meat like fish, cow, lamb, any other type is all because we ignore their cries. Still, I love meat tho 🤣
Personally, I like the interactions between Legosi and Louis far more than the ones between Legosi and Haru. I like the character of Haru fine, but every time Legosi interacts with Louis it is fascinating.
Well. The things Legosi does because of Haru is what I consider character development between the two. I feel like he changes between every interaction with Haru at some point.
I appreciate that Jacob understood that Louis interfering at the end of the play was actually genuine and representing another side of his character instead of assuming it's another manipulation :)
Another thing I’d like to point out is that Louis was, in this situation, actually testing bill. You can see from their talk in the hallway that Louis doesn’t necessarily have any problem with bill portraying carnivores as strong and justified in their strength. Louis and bill have a lot of similar ideas about society actually. Louis actually prefers bills approach to being a carnivore more than legoshis. He respects carnivores who own up to their strength. The only problem is that once he finds out about bills methods with the rabbit blood, he no longer approves of his methods. While he doesn’t appreciate legoshis timid manner, he also doesn’t like carnivores to be brutes and bullies. This was very much a test for bill and for Louis to see if he could possibly be the kind of strong yet righteous carnivore he wants legoshi to be.
Bill is such an interesting character. It’s gonna take a while to develop him especially in the anime. He’s again, not what he seems to be and he actually has a very realistic take on society. We kind of only see him as a villain because of the perspective of legoshi as our main character and legoshis ideals are very diametrically opposed to any kind of carnivore predation and stuff but tbh, if you think about it bill isn’t really hurting anyone. If you had to choose one part of an animal to consume blood would be the one part that would harm the animal the least. Just saying, if you learned anything from Louis not being one dimensional, Bill gets his moments too
it's just sad that they skipped some of bill's characterization in the anime by skipping 2 scenes involving him, the one that should happen at the beginning of ep 5 but doesn't, and the other one would be a spoiler (3 scenes if u count the one that got replaced by a different one, thankgod), along with a couple short lines that were also useful for characterization in the manga
Bah gawd that's Louis's music! Also, the tiger idiom is "The tiger cannot change his stripes" I believe, which may also be true in Beastars as cats are obligate carnivores unlike canines.
Lets think about how predators and prey have each been shown. Through legoshi, we see how a predator's day to day is, basically trying to control predatory urges and being treated with fear and hate from their peers. Then we have prey, best shown through Haru, which is mostly being treated like they are weak or lower than their peers. In Bill, Haru, Legoshi, and Louis we have examples of people accepting and rejecting society's views of them. Haru clearly accepts it. I mean, in contrast to Louis, when her life is in danger, when she thinks that she is about to be devoured, her only solace is that she wants them to know that she does want to live, and that she will run. On the other hand, Louis is constantly rejecting the idea that he is weak, both standing up to and defending predators that are definitely physically stronger than him, along with doing what he can to conceal any weaknesses he might have. On the other side, we have bill and Legoshi. Bill completely embraces what society wants a predator to be. He is big and strong and intimidating, and he has no problem eating other animals (or at least the blood from one). Finally we have the oddity that is Legoshi. Where Bill seems to completely fit the role of a predator, Legoshi seems to have shrunk away as far as he could from it. He is completely passive, even timid at times, he does what he can to avoid a fight, and he is sickened by the thought of eating from another animal that he picks a fight with a bigger stronger predator. The problem is that this outlook seems to have made him reject his instincts to a point where they boil over and he loses control. With this being the central issue of the series, I believe a question is being posed 'Will Legoshi gain control while rejecting the role of a predator, or will he accept his fate and act in accordance with society's views.

I don't think Bill's shame of being a carnivore comes from society but from Louis alone. Bill feeling pushed down because for as big, strong or charismatic he might be it still is never enough to get a fraction of the attention Louis gets.
Even tho he proud of being a carnivore, and just be yourself. Society would not acknowledge a carnivore, a creature who's known for violent tendencies.
