My all time favorite author, over Howard and lovecraft. No one is so abstract and metaphysical yet so filled with wonder and originality. His rejection of psychological realism in favor of his own high metaphysical fantasies made him great. Good schnitzel
Been doom scrolling on Facebook. Coming here to hear beautiful words that are read well is like walking out of the texas sun into a breezy room with a bubbling fountain
Another masterpiece from Clark. Great yarn! The flora and fauna of his worlds are so "lovely" and "benevolent." As with every Monday offering, this one was listened to twice (back-to-back). Amazing narration!
Stamen proud and waving high, at the center of the eye. Pistil round and colored brightly, the flower sneered at things unsightly. Ian treats his listeners well, even those who ne'er-do-well.

There is a story by Algernon Blackwood(I'm 80% sure about that) in which the MC is experimenting with some hash. While high, he is "seen" by something otherworldly and it haunts him. The context of the story is that he has called his friend over and is telling them about his journey into madness. Good story. Now I can't say that the hash of the 30's is any better or worse than the button burning in my bowl presently but I don't think I've been "seen". My experiments continue. Lol. (Cough, cough, cough) Warren? God's no!

@@guaporeturns9472 I remember when my primary school got its first one (1981... i was 9). @@guaporeturns9472 By the time we got to 'big kids school' a couple of us were au fait with BASIC and could point out typo's in the first textbooks made for teachers to teach students. If you’re here to see Warren, I have some bad news.
He's dead Jim...
He isn't dead, he's pining for the fyords. Lovely plumage!
Damn it he owes me 20 dollars!😫
He is no more? He is an ex-warren?

The “Lords of Lo-Fi” was the name of my Hyperborean garage band.🎸

This is the trippiest CAS story ever. Amazing. Hunters from Beyond is possibly his most terrifying, but this one is esoteric af.
Read the Dark Eidolon, and tomb spawn if you haven’t yet!
