Have you ever heard about Porto Flavia? 🗺️ Located in Southwestern Sardinia, it is a masterpiece of mining engineering and a UNESCO-protected site, considered as one of the most spectacular places on the island. Due to the low density in terms of infrastructure in Sardinia, access to this touristic port was limited to private car. However, thanks to the research project Weaki Transit, it is now possible to explore the region's mining heritage and sandy beaches in a single day. And all of it without a car! Discover how this initiative has allowed tourists and curious minds to explore Porto Flavia by using train lines and bus shuttles.
