That looks a nice little kit - it will be interesting to see how it compares to Revell's new tool 1/24 DB5 coming soon. That one carries the Bond license and will have gadgets I believe.

Bit of topic if anyone has bought the Bond Bug recently check part number 32 , rear piece instance's of badly moulded part is quite common, Airfix are aware and will supply new part FOC.

Like the E Type, no front side windows. Little disappointed in that.
But asked my LHS to get me one as these 1/43 kits are fun.

Looks nice. I had a 1:32 and nearly completed it. The model did not fit well.
1:43 scale is a little small, though.
It would be nice to see more classic cars available as model kits. Tamiya came out with 1:24 scale for Jagaur Mark two both in showroom and rally version.
My first car kit was the MG Magnette a good while back.

Bond? Janes Bond?
It looks like a nice little kit. Sorry, but to be honest, you sound a little too enthusiastic about this one. On the video, the windshield looks too thick and pitted (it can be sanded and polished) I think that I would try to replace it. It would have been nice to have the rims separated from the tires (easier to paint the chrome, no masking ) . The rest looks great, I like the dash board, quite detailed at 1/43 and the body is really clean too.
I bought the old 1/32 and it was really bad (the only kit I gave-up on). The body was horrible, big steps on parting lines (fenders and front trim) and very thick flash (Airfix sent me a replacement body that was slightly better). I guess that the only way would be to get a really early issue, when the mold was new.

I get all that.. it’s a starter set for beginners and my enthusiasm is more about the ease of the kit.. the wheels are simple so easier to paint.. the glass was average but still better than the old 1/32..

@@MOS6510Models I checked and Silver Birch was used during most of the sixties, one source citing specifically the James Bond DB5.

Was it cold down there, coat on? DB5 I think as a kid that was the first car we hit 100mph in, might have been a DB6 but I was about 8 or 9, a friend of my Dad

It'd be better if airfix gave of the DB5. I've just got a 1:32 DB5 starter kit, A50089A, off vinted for £6! (admittedly the paints are dried up) & its a different shape to this as well as it having wing mirrors.
I ghave the old one in the stash
I have the 1/32 kit in the bag with header paper.
I'm tempted to build them in both scales

What can I say Airfix do some of the best kits I've seen, BUT 1:43 it's just to small it's a fantastic looking kit well put together great detail, I've got problems with my hands and it's got too the point that I have problems doing some 1:72 kits so it's a shame but I won't be buying this kit.😞👍

Where can you find metal scale model kits? Bburago used to made them but not anymore, unfortunately. I really like kits but the facts that these are made plastic put me off. The quality is not as good as metal.

You shouldn't reference the Bond films in the title of the video. This model is a straight DB5 and has no Bond movie features from Q.
