Its good that cult building didnt work out, it was a terrible location over in the nice suburbs way far from downtown.
Comedy is almost dead. The days of Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy & a few others have passed.
I haven't even cracked a smile on these Netflix Specials. There are just very few true comics out there like Kevin Hart. Austin is & has been a "Music City" it's not Joe's City as I've seen people comment. I'm a born & bred Texan. If ya move here? Remember, it's a Red State & all are welcome. dude rogan needs to have someone film a comedy special there or something. i want to a see a performance at the club (as i will probably never have the opportunity to go there) ... i saw the short clip on youtube and the club looks jaw droppingly sick. like if that was your first experience at a comedy club and that is what you walked into you would be floored. it is very aesthetically pleasing to look at and i imagine the atmosphere in there is fucking awesome.
After 30 years living around Austin I still I here new stories everyday.
The Mothership has become a fucking legendary comedy location. Thanks for making Austin even greater.
Great Joe has given this opportunity to other comedians even if he is one of the worst stand ups to grace the comedy scene you have to respect him for this

I kind of ironically find him and that whole crew hysterical in how bad they are at comedy...they act so hard and really think they're doing something with the dolphin jokes and fart jokes and Bert squealing like a pig...it's legit like watching the slow class run wild through the lense of people covering their shenanigans but holy fck I would never pay to see their shitty standup

He is excellent as a fight commentator. Horrible at everything else. I'm all for having a healthy dose of skepticism, but giving a platform to conspiracies and fascist ideology is quite frankly, despicable.
