How to make a pumpkin with Blender 2.8 with lights flickering.
This is a four part video that will cover the shaping, cutting, and lights flickering of a pumpkin. Coloring the pumpkin using Blender nodes. Giving surface texture using Blender nodes. Adding lights that use noise modifier to make them flicker the lights.

How do you fix the hole at the bottom?

The whole at bottom was my mistake. I had 'show hidden vertices' button still selected when I selected and deleted the top hole in pumpkin, so it selected bottom too. To fix, you select all the edges of the hole (select one edge and select-edge loop). Then press F to fill with a face.

This took you a hour but it took me 10 hours (no joke it actually took me 10 hours) i went through about copies
