Horror Speedruns Explained: Dead Rising 2 Case Zero All Achievements

- Dead Rising 2 Case Zero is a prelude DLC for Dead Rising 2 that is its own self contained story that gives you 12 hours to explore the down of Still Creek to get Zombrex and escape.
While normally Dead Rising unmodded can be weird doing every achievement in the run is actually pretty great and leaves us with virtually no downtime in the run since we are always doing something.
In total we end up getting 12 achievements in the run and I am running this on an Xbox Series X

A real achievement
It’s insane I was literally playing this a few days ago and I got into the fish shop for the first time and I could never figure it out when I was like 12, thanks again for another great run and hope you’re okay!

@@Ecdycis my parents were pretty loose lol I remember when DR2 first came out I came home from school and my dad showed me the collectible statue that you get with a certain edition of the game and I cried because I thought he forgot to get the game but he pulled it out from the couch, a top tier memory and a top tier game and a spoilt kid
It makes for a happy memory!

I don't think the slot machine thing is a glitch, it seems intentional, seeing as how it's only the machines with money in front of them
I called it a glitch because I found it off a “cheat website” it’s really odd that it’s only 5 and this also works in the base Dead Rising 2 game.
It definitely came in handy in this run given how tight the money route was
@@Ecdycis Fair enough. I found out about it way back when the base game dropped, and always took it as how slot machines will go on little streaks of winning to keep people playing, and the cash on the ground means the machine payed out recently

If you’ve been asking for either more Dead Rising or Speedruns Explained then yes
This is the only game I've ever heard of that you can get every achievement in a single playthrough
It was TOUGH and near the end I was shaking a little bit. For Dead Rising games it might be one of the only ones possible

Oddly enough those aren’t the issues.
Dead Rising 1 has 5/7 day survivor, Indoorsman/Outdoorsman and PP Collector/Unbreakable. You can only get 45.
Dead Rising 2 has multiplayer ones off the top of my head
Dead Rising 3 has the DLCs
Dead Rising 4 requires me to look it up
Case West MIGHT be doable but it would need to be Co-op actually

Just completed all achievements today after only getting the easy ones as a kid. Feels good fully completing it years later

I recommend using the dumpster to hop over to the stairs at the hotel. Usually get it first or second try! Good run man, love that there’s a dead rising community

I’m not sure if Capcom will bring them back but they are on 360-Series X currently

@@f0nszik if i remember correctly you have to use a old Version of a Xemu emulator then find a safe ROM site to download the ROM of case zero/west but i haven't used a Xbox emulator i just remember this from a steam group post

Recently did 7 day survivor, I know you’ll never do it on stream or anything since well…let’s be honest it’s not good content because it’s waiting, But I learnt that casually you can space it out as long as you don’t open anything aside from Dead Rising, Capcom didn’t consider that in order to actually close a game on Xbox 1 up you actually have to press quit when you press options on the game logo on the main screen, and this status holds (For most games), even if the console turns off, so I spaced my 7 day survivor out over 3 IRL days by pausing the game, letting my Xbox idly turn off (Didn’t wanna risk manually turning it off messing something up), and then just reopening Dead Rising whenever I turned my console back on
Yep it’s a pain, there’s a lot of tips but it’s really just waiting and eating

I'm not sure actually, revisiting Case West I didn't like it as much as I remembered for the main story. As well All Achievements requires Co-op

In theory all runs would be close to this time considering most of the game is on a rail barring the boss and motorcycle section

Is the 5 win slot machine glitch actually a glitch? It seems like CV just wanted to give eagle eyed players a reward for figuring out that the machines with money under them will win more.

3 is less bad on revisit
Sad we were gonna get 5 it was gonna be a way different dead rising game than 1-3 but anything is better than 4 and psychopaths were back and they were gonna try to focus less on whatever dead rising 4 screwed up idk why they think fans want something new we just want the same dead rising game with more added onto it and some new stuff not to make it play like another game. It was being developed until the same guy who made 4 got put on the dev team and scrapped any plans they had and basically made it a clone Of 4 and capcom just said screw it and dropped it then they closed I think sad we might not see the game again now because of that guy I can’t believe what he thought he knew dead rising fans wanted he had no clue and just made it like any generic zombie killing game with Batman Arkham city camera gadget lmao that in reality added nothing new once I heard there was a new voice actor for frank and he would be a different character basically and there was no psychopaths it was a no buy for me and I only watched gameplay of it still. Also the stupid name for the deluxe edition franks big package lol I mean the fan base is still here maybe it will come back soon under good hands didn’t mean for comment to be this long but I miss this game a lot
