Someone on the BBC reviewing a CD of Grieg's Lyric pieces naively said Grieg did not produce credible large scale works. This stunning performance of a chamber masterpiece blows away that argument. Apart from the great interpretation here, I found that the balance and dynamics created a truly symphonic experience.

It's not an empty venue. I hear applause and see heads. Maybe you're thinking that because some sections were closed off/empty and the camera panned on those? Agreed that we in digital land are lucky to watch this excellent performance again and again.
