I wonder if the proportions of sound between piano and violin might have been better had the lid been lowered to half open. I find that, for example, in the beginning of the second movement, the tone of the piano is too heavy and simultaneously brilliant to truly match the violin in chamber music. It’s too soloistic in timber and volume.

Kraggarud is fantastic as usual, but the pianist is much too forward and heavy. It’s probably just the mic set-up, but if not, it’s a shame.
I really like it. But I am a pianist myself, so my ears are biased towards the piano.

True. Love them separately, but you're so right about dominate piano sound.
