I always leave my Christmas tree and decorations until Jan 6th and take it down on the Jan 7th. I was born in Europe so that's how my parents did it. The 3 wise men only reached the baby Jesus on Jan 6th with the gifts so it's considered the Christmas season. Enjoy your decor as long as it makes you and your kids happy.🦋

That would be overwhelming for me. My niece and her husband took their two girls to Disney the morning after Christmas so they had to clean the house and organize the toys on Christmas night. My grandson and his girlfriend were gonna be having a little girl in February, her name was gonna be Maddison. They lost her at 17 weeks on October 3rd this year to what the doctor called a catastrophic cord event. I and we all missed getting to buy things for her for when she would be born. Then on Christmas Eve he asked her to marry him and they are on the top of the world. It took him a year to get up the nerve, LOL. Thank you for the cleaning motivation you give us and being such a great Mom to your babies, Hope 2024 is the most awesome year for you all.
🦋 I took my Christmas down today and got the house all clean. It feels so good and cozy, my fireplace is going a candle burning, and soft music playing! Trying to decompress! I took everything down yesterday just have to move a large piece of furniture that will have to wait until I have some help to move it. I like taking this week to purge and organize around the house and start the new year with a clean sparkling house.
My mom used to make a boxed cake mix with leftover candy. She only used soft candy like chocolate or even m&ms. She put all the candy in the food processor to make it small, then added it to the cake batter. Comes out great! 🦋

🦋 this was very motivating and got me up and cleaning in my kitchen, getting my special holiday platters and dishes put away nicely for next year. I also got my sink cleaned and counters wiped down. My kids are all adults so I no longer have the Christmas aftermath to clean up 😂 We usually take our tree down in New Year’s Day. I am always sad after Christmas...I am doing like you and I did it last year and loved it. I'm taking down all the red and stuff that screams Christmas. I'll leave my pencil tree and small trees up for a bit. We have a real tree in the living room so I'll take it down this weekend. It's a process because I started before Halloween (I know lol) and I didn't finish until the second week in December. I took my time and absolutely loved how it turned out. 🦋

🦋🦋 I always leave my winter decorations up through February.
I take down my tree the weekend after Christmas and decorate with my snowmen to make a winter wonderland.
