Just wanted to share a quick tip for cleaning the fridge and freezer; use Alcohol and paper towels, it disinfects and evaporates fast. so you don't have any extra moisture inside.

I definitely agree with you on getting local beef. Now that I live in the South, it is easier to get. The first butcher we used was pretty good but we weren't too happy with the ground meat so we tried a new butcher and hopefully it will be better. Another great video, Hannah. This video popped up right when I needed it! I have been lacking in motivation as I juggle an infant, toddler, and teenager. Thank you! We have chickens as well and when I need to use up a lot of eggs I will make an egg, hash brown, sausage casserole or a bacon cheeseburger casserole - they both take about 8 eggs each. They're great to make ahead of time and freeze, too. I also want to mention, I've been afraid to try canning but you've made it look so doable!

I’ve been putting Red Solo Cups or large thick paper cups (Amazon for those) full of water in the freezer. Once frozen, let them thaw like 5 mins and they will pop out and fit into a Stanley Cup perfectly. Sometimes two will fit. These giant ice cubes take longer to melt than regular ice cubes. Yes, prices of everything are more like 35%-50% higher than they were when “You Know Who” took office (although the Admin won’t admit it’s that much). But just look at your own gas & food bills from 3.5 years ago.
It is so satisfying when i see clean organized & restocked kitchen. It can be mine or someone else its just a wonderful feeling. That banana smoothie recipe sounds so good!! We have laying chickens too and always keeping up with using all the extra eggs! Definitely lots of egg salad & boiled eggs for snacks… try making huevos rancheros to use some more up at dinner time (easy meal too!) I’ve been meaning to try egg pickling and egg freezing techniques too to preserve.

I wanted to say one way you can use a lot of eggs is by making oatmeal and then crack the eggs in a separate bowl and give them a whisk and then tempering it with a little bit of hot oatmeal and then pour the rest of the eggs in after tempered! It will give the oatmeal like a yummy custard taste with a good amount of protein and a way to use up more eggs! Then you can do whatever add ins you like; maple syrup/honey, cinnamon, cranberries, fresh fruit, etc! So so good!!

Instead of alcohol, it would be better to use vinegar. It disinfects without being harmful.

I wanted to say one way you can use a lot of eggs is by making oatmeal and then crack the eggs in a separate bowl and give them a whisk and then tempering it with a little bit of hot oatmeal and then pour the rest of the eggs in after tempered! It will give the oatmeal like a yummy custard taste with a good amount of protein and a way to use up more eggs! Then you can do whatever add ins you like; maple syrup/honey, cinnamon, cranberries, fresh fruit, etc! So so good!!

Hi Hannah, you just knocked that out of the park! I long to be as organised maybe one day. Over here in Ireland we don't have much room, my home is small and with that comes challenges when you need the "stuff" but haven't got the room.
