Great job Kelly - the nook looks awesome! Love the color choice! Suggestion: paint the fuse box the same as your wall color... it'll blend in and not be so noticeable. Have a great week 🦋
Came to say this exact thing
Great ideas 💡
That is a better idea cause they say to never cover an electric box cause emergency workers may need to find it really quick.
🦋 laundry room looks great! One idea for your electrical panel. Maybe make a large family calendar where you can write down appointments, birthdays, etc. I saw someone else do this in their entryway so that they saw it each time they left the house. 😁
I painted mine the same color as the wall. It’s not noticeable at all now… but I love this idea!!!
🦋
Hey Kelly,☃Good afternoon! Amazon and Etsy, both have Painting Decorative Pictures for Modern Hanging Electrical Panel Covers so many to choose from. Can't wait to see what you come up with🧰so many ideas over on reddit as well. Take Care🦋x5 tammy/tim
I love this idea. It’s functional and would hide the panel box.
🦋I would just paint the electrical box the same color as the wall. Also put a calendar or something like that🥰
An idea for hiding the electrical box and still making it accessible would be to paint it to match the wall then hang a macrame wall hanging over it. It would be a nice texture accent.
I vote for the idea to build a box around it for a dry erase calendar or chalk board 🦋
Great idea and perhaps finish with base boards
I just painted my fuse box door to blend into the wall. I've even wallpapered over them. Love the bead board wall!!! ❤❤❤🦋
What if you painted the wood shelves over washer the same green color to coordinate?? Just a thought. Also, where is the mama dog? Does she mainly stay in the yard? Haven’t seen her lately..
You can take the panel box cover off and spray paint it so it blends in. The best option I would think would be adding a picture in a pretty frame over it to camouflage it!!
The little nook area is so perfect for an entryway bench. I love it so much! Girl I can't do jeans for long either. I'm constantly pulling them up and the button digs into my stomach. No thanks, pass, leggings please! 😂
🦋 🦋 🦋 🦋 🦋
Hi Kelly! The mud room/ laundry room looks great. Here is my suggestions, I would move the shelf towards the wall and add a tall cabinet for like your mop, broom and vacuum. As for the panel, I would paint the same color as the wall. 🦋
Love the cabinet idea!
For over your power box you can build a frame with 1x2’s and place either fabric or a chalkboard on top and it will cover the whole box and you can write notes on it. It’s so cute! Great job! 🦋
You can always add a vertical art piece or family calendar etc over your electrical panel to hide it but make it useful as well.
Above the bench it also looks like you would have room for the small cabinets like they put above refrigerators. That would give more storage to the room. In the future you could opt for a stackable washer and dryer. That would leave room for a deep sink to be installed, as well as a hamper. You could go with open shelving or stock cabinets from Home Depot. They could all be bought at the same time to match the ones above the bench. Just some thoughts for the future. It all looks very nice as is. I’m just one to always be looking for more storage. Especially when my kids were little. I loved having a deep sink to clean all the messes up from my kids. I even bathed them in it when they were kids, and would come in the back door too dirty to go through the rest of the house. A deep sink is also great for scrubbing muddy shoes, and cleaning so many things in the home over the years.
Yes, you can always hang a picture above the electrical box, panel, or what I did with mine is put like an exterior type swing door that is more decorative. There’s a way that you could just put it right on top with some hinges, and make it look like a painting.
Make a coark board kinda frame to pin stuff not to forget
Looks great! Everything is coming together beautifully! I would just paint the fuse box the same color as the wall so it blends in better. Another great video! 😊 🦋🦋🦋
Hang a picture using a hidden piano hinge so you can just swing the picture open to get to the fuse box. I did this in my old house ❤
Oh if you can paint your electric door with Chalk paint … you could put like a calendar or something with the chalk . Or you could do seasonal art on the chalkboard 😄
Kelly, I so admire your talent & ability to take on this type of project! And the fact that you can handle those power tools! This makeover turned out fantastic! 🦋 🦋 🦋 🦋 🦋
Kelly, I love this room renovation. Your home is beautiful. Everything you’re doing is shining through as it’s with so much heart. Makes me smile every time. ❤🦋
Love it! Maybe add a thin board or fabric sign over the panel saying "Hang up your coats!"
My husband says to take off the panel, light scuff the surface with steel wool and spray paint it white with a good enamel! 🦋
Hi Kelly. You did an amazing job on the nook. Your little dogs are so cute. They're always wanting your attention, and they deserve it. Lol. Hope you have a great week. 🦋
I had that electrical box in my last house. I painted it to match the wall and it blended right in! I love the laundry room! Everything you did looks great! 😀❤🐝
Add hinges to a canvas and plop it right over top of that electrical panel. Everything looks beautiful 😍
Great job!! For the panel box: white contact paper, u could hang a cloth organizer over it, a hanging plant above so it would hang in front, a picture over it, or chalkboard contact paper to make notes for yourself.
Hello Kelly, you always do a phenomenal job when you transform an area. I love the HOME letters and that is a perfect location. Your children must be on cloud nine to have all of this beautiful space. You're awesome! 🤗💕💕
It’s all coming together Kelly, all of your home projects always come out great. The color you chose looks perfect in that little nook 🦋🦋
It would be super cute if you could find pillow covers to match the wallpaper behind the washer and dryer. It's very cute anyway. Great job.
Kelly, you are so talented. Projects like this intimidate some of us. The coat nook looks great. 🦋
Looks so good! Maybe a picture or even a mirror over the electrical panel. The least expensive way is to paint it the same color as your wall color. 🦋
It looks nice. You can cover the breaker box with a picture, paint it, or contact paper and make a small collage (plaques, pics, mirror, key holder…etc) next to it.🦋
Another idea might be, to hang a multi surface board..over the power panel. To hide it. This way it's easy to remove or move, if you need too. Least costly too.
I love that color green. The mudroom looks great. An idea for the panel and green on green... leave the batton board section green. Paint the top and panel the same white you used through the house. ❤🦋
Make a dry erase board or chalkboard to hang over the electric box. Notes, shopping list right by the door to check before you head out the door.
Paint you electric box the same color as your wall use cute magnets use as a magnet board you could Frame it out to make a finished look
I think I would paint the box the same color as the wall. Then it won't stand out so much. Love the laundry room turned out great.
I like the note board idea for the electrical panel but I also thought a mirror would be good. I put a mirror on hinges so it opens like a door over my electrical box that is in a bathroom. It would be a good place to check yourself on the way out the door.
I like the idea of building a frame over electrical box. A calander station and a place to hang dog leashes
Looks great! I put a piece of canvas art over my electric box, it fit perfectly and you’d never know it was behind it.
What I did for the fuss box was I had my sister inlaw make a curtain and just a spring like cheap rod and it just looks like a window now. I've had people actually look behind it wondering what it was. It's directly across from the toilet and it just kinda dresses it up. I love how that area looks. Have a great week. 🦋
It’s beautiful! However, I literally just paint my electric box in the same color as my wall. It blends in sooo much better and it’s a cheap option until you find something that would make your heart happy. 🦋
Suggestion for the fuse box panel. Either paint it black chalk paint or white board paint. Then frame it out. It's metal you could also put the alphabet magnets on it, for cute reminders and messages..
We built a frame around it and made a door for it and painted that to match the wall. If you do that, your beadboard wallpaper on the faux door would look nice
We live in a manufacturer home as well. To cover our fuse box, I found a large fram that cover it. Then I painted the picture with chalkboard paint. We love it. ❤
Laundry room looks amazing. Electric box cover could be made like a wooden shutter panel and but heavy magnets on the back to stay on. You do such a great job 💙💙💙💙💙💙
🦋 laundry room looks great. Maybe you could paint the pannel box. Or get one of those blankets done with your kid’s picture put on it and hang it on that wall to hide it.
Looks wonderful! to cover the fuse box, maybe a cork board on hinges that opens so you can access it. You can pin reminders there, school notes, shopping lists etc. Some hooks at the bottom for hanging scarves could be handy too. 🦋
If anyone in your family quilts, a little wall quilt made of any kids’ saved baby clothes or blankets would be sweet over that panel. But a schedule board is a super good idea too!
I would use the baskets on top shelves for things that you don’t use often and then decant everyday laundry stuff in pretty glass jars on bottom shelf ❤️😉🇨🇦
You could put a mirror over the panel box to check yourself before you go out since you use the back door to go out. 💞
I think a seasonal picture would look good over the panel box.🦋💞
Kelly, this makeover looks great! ❤ a suggestion for the electrical panel is to cover it with white contact paper( can't paint it ) and then hang a fairly large macrame hanging to cover it 😉
We had one in a condo at one time. I covered it with a magnetic chalkboard. You could keep lists, charts, reminders, kids artwork…or just magnet on photos, etc.
Make a wood cover to go over the panel box and paint the cover white to help it blend with the wall
I would add a large, tall boxed canvas saying/quote. Hang it over the breaker box. I've seen them on hinges and thin shelves on the inside too.
Looks great!
Love the color and bench and shelves!
SUGGESTION: paint electrical box, add a tall cabinet on right side of w/dryer and move shelves to the wall AND finish with baseboards.
The nook looks great! I would hang a framed poster over the breaker panel. I lived in a condo that had the breaker panel in the center of the wall in the kitchen! Actually, it was a little off-center which created even more of a design dilemma. How crazy is that??? I had a really neat poster that I had gotten in New Orleans years ago that fit my color scheme, so I bought a poster frame for it at Walmart and hung it over the breaker panel. The size of the poster allowed me to cover the breaker box in such a way that I could make it look centered on the wall.🦋
That looks awesome! You might have to make this yourself, but to cover the electrical panel, put a cabinet door over it with hinges so you can open it when needed. 🦋
A long pillow roll would look nice on the bench.
Everything looks great! As far as the fuse box cover goes, I think you should carry the board and batten around to that side and also the wall across from the box (so do both of the other walls) if you then paint them to match your back wall it will just blend in. One other thought would be to find a piece of wallpaper that you can cut to size and use it like a piece of art, you could even frame around the box to look like a real picture. Hope that helps!
On the breaker box, if you don't want to hang anything there, just painting it to match the wall will camouflage it a lot.
Love it! For the panel a pretty framed mirror would be cute! I'd just add a bunch of magnets to the back of whatever you put up
Your laundry room turned out so beautiful. If you have any of the wallpaper that you have behind your shelves you could put it on electrical panel
Just paint the panel box the color of the wall. Make it blend in. Love your diys.🦋
I love, love, love the mudroom coat nook and your laundry room makeover. I wish I had room in my laundry room for a coat nook and bench but it's too small. You could paint the panel box the same color as your wall to make it blend in with the wall; that's what I did with ours. I love watching you do your makeovers; everything always looks so nice when you are done. I don't put the butterfly emoji because I can't seem to find it, but I do always watch until the end.
Maybe a long mirror to hide the box and check yourself the wat out the door or just just paint it the white color of the wall so it’s not that noticeable or the whole wall green to match the mud room side…love everything it’s gorgeous love the color…have a blessed week💗💗💗
Love the evergreen fog color! Can’t wait to see the classroom makeover 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
You can do some headboard in a frame without the glass and do small hooks for keys leashes small purses etc use thin plywood to add the headboard
Wow!! Love that olive green color in the nook, so pretty! Girl you can do anything!! And those baskets look beautiful in your laundry room!! So proud of you and happy for you!! 🦋💙🦋
Make a frame around the panel box and paint the box with chalk paint🦋
I painted my panel box the same color as the wall. You can hardly see it now and it actually looks nice.
I would say ur best bet is to just paint the fuse box the same as the wall. U really don't want to cover those up in case of emergencies. I also added shelves like ur laundry one to my pantry and have so much space now and organized. Crazy what a couple shelves can do🦋
I really love that shade of green ! So pretty !
I think it would look really nice in other areas of your home !
You did such a great job !
Oh for the electrical panel, probably the easiest and fastet way to hide it, would be to paint it the wall colour! It'll disappear !
🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
Looks great. Suggestion for you. Paint the laundry shelves to match the coat nook. That would tie in nicely!!
Looks great! Paint the panel the same wall color and hang a large scrolly mirror in that space to check hair on way out door😊
You could paint the panel box same white as wall or hang a picture over it. 🦋🦋
I would paint the fuse box the same color as the white wall it's sitting on. And get some thing to make sure it shuts properly. This is a beautiful project Kelly!🦋
I love the transformation! Maybe paint the panel white so it blends in more.
Also what about a small little antique dry sink beside your dryer if there is room to store your bleach and things in that you couldn’t fit into baskets. You could keep your iron in there too. And they sell these things you can hang your ironing board into the walls with. 🦋
Hey Friend, Happy Sunday. I always enjoy watching your diy projects and seeing what you are going to change/improve in your house. Also in all of your diy projects you always show that it doesn’t change overnight it takes a few days to complete and that’s okay. ❤ I’m 100% the same way I’m a legging or sweat pants kind of girl I have to be comfortable or I won’t be happy. Luckily I’m able to wear sweat pants at work as long as they’re not revealing. 😂 you can never go wrong with having too many nook hooks because you can use them for a lot of things around your house like you mentioned. ❤ I love how you hung the home sign above the nook hooks and the shoe cubbie they look perfect there. 🦋🦋🦋
I have one of those panels by my desk at work. Idea for the panel would be to paint it the same color if the wall then use magnet baskets to keep keys wallets etc. magnet tissue holder and a magnet calendar.
This looks amazing, Kelly! ❤️
The paint colour ‘Evergreen Fog’ is lovely ☺️, we would call this a heritage colour, over here in the UK used in the ‘Cotswold Green’ . , very classy 🙏🏻🔥🥰🇬🇧xxx
I would hang a dry erase board or a cork board over the bracket box panel.🦋
That’s almost exactly how I’m going to do my laundry area, except I’m using bead board and printed wallpaper. Then I’ll paint the bead board sage green like the color in the wallpaper. Yours looks great!
your home is coming along great 🦋 mabey the mudroom electrical box you can put a key box frame to cover it that also swings open and closes so you have access to the box whenever you need it 🙂
This turned out so good! Love the warm and cozy vibes. My electrical panel is hidden behind a door. Just a cabinet type door, and the panel is right there when I open it.
🦋 Great job but I think a few more matching baskets for your selves would finish it out. At least paint the utility cover for now. A tapestry/ small rug might make a great easy cover for it?
You rocked it girl. It looks amazing! One pro tip for you…stuff your pillow covers with down inserts that are 2 to 3 times larger than the cover. It will fill it out more and be more impactful and more comfy than if it was not filled out. Also I wonder if you can spray paint your fuse box. I know you can get a spray paint mixed at either SW or Benjamin Moore stores. Just an idea. I love your videos each week.
Hi Kelly, I love the room! I think that you should paint the gray panel box the same color as your laundry/mud room. You won't notice it as much. Also, it would really tie in the room together if you painted your wooden shelves above your washer and dryer that same green.
💙🦋🦋💙 27:37
You are very hardworking and talented by God's grace 🦋
Hi Kelly I love your energy you’re a inspiration for us women. I love what you’re doing with your home. Keep up the great work and God bless you and your family. ❤
Give yourself a pat on the back another makeover well done 🦋
Love your laundry room/ nook. It turned out super cute. I love how you keep it simple. Butterfly emoji❤🌸
Looks fantastic and you did such a great job! As far as covering the fuse box, perhaps a magnetic dry erase board that has your kids schedule written on it or a calendar - either could be lifted off to gain access to fuse box.
Nice job. It all looks great. It's amazing how a few baskets can really declutter a shelf. The wall paper is beautiful. Evergreen Fog is such a pretty color. What you did with the area behind the door is so pretty and yet so functional.
How about a chalk board over the panel box it can hold notes for the day, week,or month and you will be reminded daily
Great job on your house you should be so proud
Yes you can put a picture over it or you can paint it to blind it in with the wall paint.
As always it turned out great! I wish I was more comfortable using those tools to be able to handle those types of projects.
🦋
Great video and the laundry room looks wonderful. My hubby is an HVAC guy and he didn't recommend covering the panel if it is still live. It could catch fire if anything sparks but we did some research because i thought about using wallpaper to cover it. Make it the picture itself. Then i thought about actually painting the cover plate into a picture. Since the box is offset to the right you could put 3 smaller pictures on the left of the box. Maybe of the kids or just abstract art or natural pictures to tie it to the green. I l💚ve the green. Pops of green looks very homey and natural and airy.
Blessings from Texas 🙏🏼 💐
Put a big magnetic chalkboard or calendar over your fuse box
How is the boys dad doing. Is Rae going with her dad some week ends? Your place is getting more and more like your personality. Love it! 🦋
