    You can get a box of a 3c 5c and 7c for like 20 bucks off of Amazon too which is epic. I use a Vincent bach 7c and hear no difference between the 20 dollar one and my 60 dollar one just like he said in the video

    Problems with cheap mouthpieces are their longevity specifically their finishes. Some of them leech materials and tend to be irritative.

    A Shires 3C came with my trumpet. It's made by Pickett Brass. It has a Bach Mount Vernon 3C feel to it.

    Thanks will try it. I played a 7c as a H.S. 1st chair player....will try and play it again this time on a Cecelio silver plated as my school horn is a beater.

      @@TRUMPETSIZZLE Got the Trumpet, waiting for the mouth piece. The Cecelio model is very nice & easy to play as it's not a Mendini by Cecelio, it just reads "Cecelio.' on the bell.😀

      @@TRUMPETSIZZLE wow 2 weeks...I finally received my genuine Cecilio mouthpiece from Amazon! I must say it was worth the wait Now with both a Cecilio silver b flat trumpet and mouthpiece, it's so much easier to play. Its subtly bigger and feel smooth as glass, its nice as is my tone & high note reach is so improved. I'm gonna use a trumpet part for a song i'm writing. I want to say its a pro set up and i will ; in my book. Thanks for the recommend.

    What size mouthpiece would you recommend for a trombone player looking to take on the trumpet?

    • @TRUMPETSIZZLE
      @TRUMPETSIZZLE  2 роки тому +1

      Well, that is a little trickier. I would taper: Start off with a Bach 1 or a Bach 1 1/2 C (cheaper than a Bach 1). After 2-3 weeks go to a 3C. After 2-3 weeks on a 3C switch to the 3E and you will stay on that until you get so good that you start searching for a custom mouthpiece depending on what type of music you like most!

      @@TRUMPETSIZZLEI am a trombonist and for me bach 1c, 1.5c and 3c are much more convenient than 3e. Trombonists love deep cups. The Bach 3e is not suitable for all trumpet players, let alone trombonists. Why switch to Bach 3e if 3c is much more convenient?

    What is the difference between a 3C and a 3E?

    • @TRUMPETSIZZLE
      @TRUMPETSIZZLE  2 роки тому +2

      The E means it is a little more shallow than the C. They also have a D which is between the C and the E.

      I seems to play better using the 3C. Just got back 3 weeks ago and improving day by day. I don't read much, but really starting from scratch at 68 yo. Is never too late. The only issue I have is that I only have my right arm and yes I get little tired after practicing for 30 minutes after warm up. I practice 3 to 4 times per day, I also have a piano that I play by ear. I enjoy music. Used to own a Caribbean restaurant here in San Antonio, Texas. After 9/11 everything went down the drain. We had life music and I was the lead singer and play my trumpet. We were 4 in the group. Lots of fun, I sold my Holton trumpet and a Flugelhorn 6 years ago. I became a HVAC Contractor 17 years ago and retired few year ago, but still do repairs an some installations. I thank God for all the blessings, more than I deserve, I am also a legal immigrant. Escaped from communism over 30 years ago. I love the USA, I cannot understand how ungrateful some Americans are, when they call the USA a racist nation. Racism is in your mind, disability is in your mind. I have accomplished more in my adopted USA, than in the communist country, i escaped from. Where they talk about incomes equality and all kinds of BS, and the people have no freedom. They all get the same salary regardless whether you are a Dr or a trash collector. Universal Income. Here in the USA the left wants to experiment with what we had experimented and is proven to be a disaster.

    Bach mouthpieces are low end mouthpieces, so if I wanted the performance of a Bach mouthpiece, then spending only a few bucks for a no name version is the way to go

    • @TRUMPETSIZZLE
      @TRUMPETSIZZLE  Рік тому +1

      I wouldn't call Bach low end. However, compared to so many others these days in regards to price, yes they are at the lower end of $50-$75 where many mouthpieces are past $200!

      Bach mouthpieces are not low end mate. I use a Denis wick but bachs are used everywhere
