      How it should be done
      Those guys that stare into the distance and go to a dark place for like an hour (all their warm up lifts) and then keep it going for the working weight, they've taxed their CNS a lot and sometimes, it won't respond anymore at max capacity

    He just pulled 1700 kg in about 10 seconds. Can we acknowledge how fucking impressive that is 🤯🤯 he’s a serious threat for the 505

    • @oceanbanana4341

      Adding the weight together doesn't mean much though. I don't think he'll do 505 but he's someone nobody wants to go against in a deadlift lol

      They're probably training earlier in the day. Rauno has said constantly that he's more used to training in the evening and he likes to sleep in the morning, so he isn't very used to getting up very early.

    As a person who knows nothing about filming so correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the footage too close? Like in your face and as a result, there's too much movement/shaky(reminds me of Jason Bourne movies). A wider lens or zoom out or whatever it's called perhaps?

    • @steveunderwood8145
      @steveunderwood8145 2 роки тому +4

      If you’re in a noisy environment and using a shotgun mic like Liz is then you need to be close to make sure your speaker is the dominant sound. You can’t really mic up strongmen in the gym.

    • @tesstickle1963

      Them films were proper good!

    • @jimllbreakit8537
      @jimllbreakit8537 2 роки тому

      There’s no right or wrong way. Videography is an art and like art, it’s subjective with many different styles and preferences.
      Looking at the photos and videos from Rauno’s gym, it’s a narrow space and shooting at 24mm may even look very close.
      Wider angle lenses are better for fitting more into frame, but isn’t always as aesthetically pleasing.
      You can step back several feet but then just like watching from further afar, it’s more impersonal, and sound or white noise can become a bigger issue the further your subject is from the microphone.
      Unless conditions, space and sound are all perfect, which they won’t be in a small gym, then videography is sometimes a series of sacrifices and payoffs. I think it’s great work considering she’s untrained and learning on the job. I’ve seen far far worse from so-called professionals.

    • @Jack-mv5fg
      @Jack-mv5fg 2 роки тому +12

      Larry will need to lose a decent amount of weight if he is going to be the lightest to pull 1000lbs. Rauno and Larry are probably closer in weight than you think.

    • @a-a-rondavis9438
      @a-a-rondavis9438 2 роки тому +17

      I mean ok? Rauno is a better deadlifter than Larry will ever be. Rauno has already pulled over 1000 lbs multiple times, with a PB of 470 kg conventional and 475 kg sumo for funsies.

    • @misterringer
      @misterringer 2 роки тому +8

      Larry did 3, and his 3rd looked ugly. And as others have mentioned, Larry is bigger than you think haha.
      Larry is strong as hell no doubt, but Rauno had 1 or 2 left in the tank here easily. At this stage, Rauno is still better.

      Maybe do a bit of research before trying to put him down mate, rauno is in another class when it comes to deadlift that Larry isn’t in.
      Larry is an absolute freak and strong as hell but nothing of what rauno is.
