Steve is and will always be a class act. He took time and brought us around to meet everyone from pantera suicidal and exodus and hung out after the gig. Boston the channel sept 1990 what a show that was. Ralph. Thanx for another great clip. Weeeeee
My favorite Exodus album is: Another Lesson In Violence (Live) 1997. Paul Balof back on vocals cranking out all the classics from Bonded By Blood. It sounds incredible, and you get to experience the stage presence Paul possessed with all the fun banter between songs. Album cover art done by Sacrilege BC lead singer Strephon Taylor. The mid 80’s thrash scene at Ruthie’s Inn was an incredible time for the Bay Area. We had Thrash, Punk, Crossover, and Metal. 🤘
That Exodus Wacken DVD is beyond awesome. I feel his style suits Exodus more musically. 2007'S Atrocity Exhibition is a masterpiece! Listen to that one start to finish with headphones on. By the end of it you're amped up ready to destroy something. Absolute banger of album! Ready for the new album. I've got high hopes!!!🤘
Bonded by Blood is the best. Never liked Dukes in the band either but if not Baloff it's gotta be Zetro. Sad they couldn't work it out. Last two tours they were great live. Tempo was going to be the Baloff comeback album.
I’m fine with this change. I love all 3 singers in Exodus. Zetro was a beast and Rob will do great. Happy I got to see them with Zetro last year with Anthrax. Hopefully I’ll be able to catch them live with Dukes. I’m sure the new album will kick much ass
Weird. Souza really grew on me. And after his weightloss i thought his vocals improved immensely in the video ive seen. Recently have heard some tunes where he really has some good deep growls. I like Dukes too. I just kinda have a love hate thing for Souza that I dont have for Dukes. And Tempo is amazing. I just dont compare it to Bonded. Different time, tech and experience. But those are the best two.
Exodus's weakness has always been their vocals/vocalists. The have always had killer musicians..but vocally, they have never done it for me. Baloff was awful. Zetro's goblin voice doesn't do it for me...and Duke's just seemed like an odd fit. He was good live, though. But personally, I think that I like them better with Dukes than Zetro. Speaking of Exodus, do you know who doesn't get enough credit? Rick Hunolt. The dude was great!
Exodus will always crush, regardless of who is on the mic! Gary Holt produces such killer riffs. I agree with you, Ralph. There was no need or use for re-recording Bonded By Blood. 🤘
Paul Baloff Exodus is the only Exodus I can listen to. I bought the first 3 albums with Zetro and traded them still in mint condition at the used music store immediately and never heard them again. All the Exodus magic is on the Bonded By Blood album, how they never were able to match the feel again is a mystery.
For me as long the rest of the band ( musicians) it's sound Exodus. Yes,the classic albums is the best 🤘 The old fans is ( Still)doing the Toxic waltz 🤘
I hate both souza and dukes. The real Exodus is only the Bonded By Blood lineup. After Baloff, I consider them another band. From Pleasures of the Flesh to present, I know them as the West Coast Anthrax. The real Exodus happened again for a short time when Baloff returned during the Another Lesson In Violence live recording. But then Exodus fizzled out again.
I saw Exodus with Dukes, here in Vancouver. I have seen Exodus twice now, with Zetro. I hate to see him go again but Dukes, he can kill it!!! And it was the suggestion of Zetro, that Dukes come back to the band. That's what I read. At any rate, I will always be a big Exodus fan. Enough said... .
Bc the BAND first announced Zetro's departure, it makes it almost certain it's a firing. If it was health-related, or for voluntary reasons, Exodus (or should I say Holt's wife) would have let Zetro give the news first. I'm disappointed Zetro is gone & I think most Exodus fans are! I don't remember Dukes really being accepted by the fans. Further, I have a hard time believing the band or management (if they can afford one) would even want Dukes back. There MUST be a backstory.
I saw them on the BBB Reunion tour and agree the first album should have never been touched. As far as their singers go, I think each singer was able to cut in on every album. I’ve never seen them with Rob before, but the albums he was on I think he filled the shoes. The Ballad of Leonard and Charles just rips and although I’m disappointed Zetro is out, I’m still picking up whatever they release.
If Dukes doesn't work out, maybe Sammy Hagar can step in. I hated Dukes at the beginning but started listening to Exhibit B and started liking him. Devil's teeth, Burn Hollywood, Ballad, Hammer and life are good bangers. I actually liked the thorn in my side album in 1992...Force of habit with Zetro.
I love all three versions of Exodus. To be fair I wasn’t born in the 80s, all the way in 2010. But each of the three singers I love, to me Exodus is Gary and Tom together making music. Not having Rick is a big gut punch, but still. Paul, Steve, and Rob, have all done the band very, very well. I respect each and am very excited for this new album they’ve begun work on.
Dang. Seriously did not see this coming. But Dukes gives Exodus a kick in the pants. I rocked with Exodus then, I’m not gonna stop now. Long live Bay Area Metal. Let the blood continue to flow 🤘🏽
Duke's fake tuff guy persona is not wanted. It's too late for Exodus to appeal to metalcore audiences. As far as young people at Exodus shows, the last one i saw had a kid go up on stage , strum on Holt's guitar for a second , then the guitar was no doubt signed and given to the father who gave the band X amount of money for the experience. This was another example of parents living through their children. No 8 year old is interested in their old man's music. Ridiculous. Dukes resembles an overweight Anselmo but isn't even as good as the current diminished Phillip who has been giving sub par perfomances with the re invented fake pantera. I guess Holt has nothing to lose since he will always have a Slayer show to make the big money. None of Exodus's vocalists are singers in the traditional sense. Just like Roth and Brian Johnson aren't technical vocalists. It's the stage presence and charisma, Souza has a connection to the crowd, Dukes doesn't , simple as that.
Not a popular opinion: I always thought Bonded By Blood sounded amateurish at best. Baloff, as much as I liked his love for Metal, killing posers and all that fun stuff. I thought his singing voice was bad and made Bonded sound worse. I thought Tempo Of The Damned was and still is their best album. I like Dukes, but I'm a Zetro guy. I hope it all works out for all involved . Thanks Steve for you outstanding work in Exodus. Keep Thrashin.
Terrible news. The albums dukes were on weee really good but I do not want to hear dukes singing all the classic exodus songs live. I’ve seen them live many times with him as vocalist and nothing against him but it didn’t feel like exodus. The people that are praising the albums he was on completely miss the point. It’s about the live performances just as much and how the classic songs come off
Persona non Grata was their previous album and Steve Lagudi engineered that one and Andy only mixed it. Last album that Andy Engineered for Exodus was Exhibit B.
@@almosthuman56 I don't wish that on anyone either. It may be worth looking into because I'm sure you'd like to tell your viewers that you're not rejoicing over his health conditions if it is true. And I spoke very highly of you too. I even mentioned your band "Thrash Or Die" Even if he's sick, I'd still love for you to interview him. Sorry for this being so long, but I just wanted to fill you in. Peace. Joe
Love it all, Dukes kicked much serous ass. and will again, I got into his band by watching Toxic Vault, with Steve and they became good friends. Too many fair weather and bandwagon fans will drop off and everytime good bands get stronger. Atrocity is killer, and the next one will be better than anything up for a grammy between now and then. WALTZ IT UP!!!
Zetro is one of the nicest dudes in the business! And yeah, he'll be missed.... again

No matter how many times I hear it, I never fail to laugh at the Arsenio Hall line. Baloff was hysterical. Agreed, amazing album.
I was there. Lived in Fremont. What great times…
Check out the remastered versions of the Testament albums, The Legacy, and The New Order.

Can't wait for the new album !!! 🔥
i love paul and steve but not a rob dukes fan
I like both but LOVE Paul 🤘
I seen Exodus with testament and death Angel back on May 20,2022 Steve Souza was the singer for Exodus
Bonded by Blood is the best. Never liked Dukes in the band either but if not Baloff it's gotta be Zetro.

I've got to say, Baloff, Zetro, Dukes, Exodus is one of my favorite bands, since the mid-80's.

Good thing I was able to see Exodus in Detroit last night month. Little did I realize that it would be one of the last shows with Zetro.
Paul Baloff Exodus is the only Exodus I can listen to. I bought the first 3 albums with Zetro and traded them still in mint condition at the used music store immediately and never heard them again. Never saw Baloff with Exodus, but saw him in ‘87 with his band called “ Piranha,” at Fenders Ballroom in Long Beach, CA, awesome!
I was at that pirrana show all they did was exodus covers did they opened up for king diamond that night

Great Zetro cameo!
Bonded by blood will never be topped, all of those songs are 10/10…never matched that again with any singer
100% correct
Seen them another v
Volice tour. 97 Phoenix AZ. Exodus.

Loved shovel, exhibit A and B. Sorry, not sorry. Welcome back Dukes!
If Dukes doesn't work out, maybe Sammy Hagar can step in.
I hated Dukes at the beginning but started listening to Exhibit B and started liking him. Devil's teeth, Burn Hollywood, Ballad, Hammer and life are good bangers.

Get busy, young man. You've got a lot of catching up to do. So much killer music to check out...
Saw them in 1985!!!! Awesome !!!
No to Dukes
Agree
Dang. Seriously did not see this coming. But Dukes gives Exodus a kick in the pants. I rocked with Exodus then, I’m not gonna stop now. Long live Bay Area Metal. Let the blood continue to flow 🤘🏽

good points

A step backwards...
Lame……
I'm pro Exodus, love em all
Mistake.
100% correct
I got into Exodus around Pleasures of the Flesh. And Zetro is my favorite singer for the band. But I think Dukes is the best fit at this time.
Always liked dukes more, anyway. He doesn't sound like the wicked witch of the West.
I liked force of habit… Dukes just gave Gary’s career an extension. There was no other option. It would have been game over
I’m a fan of both singers, but it wouldn’t be Exodus if the line up was stable.
NO Dookey 4 me. NOPE.
Liked the latest Exodus, the vocals were okay but now I'm less interested, unfortunately. Maybe Zet will return to Tenet w/ SYL dudes.
Gary had a golfing outfit and short hair on that Baloff return concert, weird.
Terrible news. The albums dukes were on weee really good but I do not want to hear dukes singing all the classic exodus songs live. Loved exhibit a and b, sorry
Please do not use Andy Sneap again. The sound is too sterile. Drums are clinical.
Persona non Grata was their previous album and Steve Lagudi engineered that one and Andy only mixed it. Last album that Andy Engineered for Exodus was Exhibit B.
@ The Mixing process is where Sneap sucked the life out of the songs. He microscopically edited every digital sample.
Love the Dukes era, but the re-recording is horrible, an atrocity within itself, IMO! No disrespect to Exodus, but no thanks on that one for me!
No Paul, no care. Zetro has always had a annoying tone, Dukes is cool enough with killer Exodus albums under his belt. Thrash on dudes.
Exodus without Zetro is just boring in my opinion. Could you picture Blitz being replaced in Overkill? Hell nah lol
Ralph could this actually be true?
ua-cam.com/video/sR7jOtgi4_c/v-deo.html
Yeah. I am not sure if its true or not. I do not wish Belcher any health problems.
@@almosthuman56 I don't wish that on anyone either.

This sucks, Dukes is great but Zetro is better for Exodus, he just is

I seen that podcast 2 Real cool dudes 😊
I can't hit the 'like' button. What gives?
Have no idea. I just hit the like button and it worked.
Paul Baloff, best era in Exodus. Steve Zetro, classic! Rob Dukes imo is the best singer and frontman in Exodus
Their best albums were with Dukes. Sorry not Sorry
