I remember stumbling across these books tucked away in my middle school library like 20 years ago. Was so excited to learn there was more to the series than the movies
This is great. I can't believe Brian Daley died in 1996. I searched for these all over when I was like 12. I remember liking them, but I appreciate this way more as an adult. Especially as we got like maybe five minutes of classic Han Solo in the Force Awakens and Solo just didn't capture things for me.
thanks for this posting! I found these books when they were first published since I was 10 in 1977 for the star wars movies and was immediately hooked. To find novels like Brian's was fantastic and about Han and Chewbacca, my favorite characters, was amazing! If I could find Ron Howard and have a talk with him about his work on the Solo movie, I would ask him to go back and reshoot the last scene with Han and Chewie heading out in the Falcon and ask Ron to include one additional line. As Han mentions to Chewie about the gang being assembled by the Hutts on Tatooine, I would have Han mention about heading into the Corporate Sector first. With just that one reference, we have Brian Daley's novels as "canon" and we have them as potential stand alone new Han/Chewie movies (although I know this is incredibly unlikely). But the idea of the possibility is cool. They did this with the Lando novels by having Lando recording his "memoirs" which were the Lando novel storylines. Clever and wonderful to include those. The same could have been done here with Brian's novels as well. Again, thanks for the audio novel post!
@@decadebird Hmmmmm. I missed that bit. Now if I can only get ahold of the billion dollar lottery ticket, I could self-finance the whole trilogy of Han movies!
Very glad you put this up. I’m listening to this for the second time because I enjoyed it so much. Some of that is Brian Daily and some of that is you!
Just came here for a like. I read this story decades ago and it still is my second best liked Star Wars story after "Han Solo and the Lost Legacy". And followed closely by "Han Solos Revenge".
Thanks for the upload! Made it my new years resolution to read as much of the legends as I could! Just finished chapter 5 and man did it drag on, hopefully it picks up pace in chapter 6
So glad UA-cam suggested your channel - awesome work!! When Ep 1 came out I wondered if the Trade Federation was a spinoff of the Corporate Sector Authority. If only they had developed these into feature films right?
Do you have to render out audio files for the whole book for each voice you use and then splice the right dialog line in at the right place in the narrator's audio clip? Or is there a text to speech app that allows for different voices automatically?
I made this one a while ago. I am pretty sure on this one, I recorded the whole book with one voice, then went back and used modulations and filters to differentiate between characters.
@@Ben-oq5wp Usually, I just go in order. I start with one voice for the narrator (that voice tends to lend itself to the POV character), and I change voices as other characters speak, or the perspective changes. Recently, I have experimented doing some of the voiceover myself as well. I won't lie, it takes time, but it usually doesn't feel like work. Pretty much, whatever method I use, it ends up taking a minimum of three hours to produce one hour of audio.
The REMASTER of Han Solo's Revenge will drop this Sunday Night. I have started working on the REMASTER of Lost Legacy, and it will feature some new tricks. I have not read Lost City of Tatooine. I think I will go after one of the greats that was overly abridged next. UNOFFICIAL AND UNABRIDGED...ALWAYS UNABRIDGED.
@@decadebird cool! Thanks! Another idea is to take your favorite stories out of a book like tales from jabbas palace and do one per story to practice . Looking forward to new stuff ! Been helping me get through work man !
The part where he shoots that dude into space. Stone cold mf. I like this Han. Also been digging into legends. Chewbacca is becoming my favorite character. And he’s the best thing in this novel in particular.
Do you have an email contact? I'm interested in sharing what I have from the Hungarian translation project so far, as well as some of the rarer novellas and short stories, if you want to pursue them down the road.
Was trying to listen to the ac crispin Han Solo trilogy books but they don’t sound good at all and are abridged .. Many of the best ones are abridged and need you ! Lol
After giving this a listen, I will offer up that the AI that is reading the book is pretty flat. There are other SW audio books that claim they are AI read but have inflection. Just an observation.

What a discovery! It's like finding a long list manuscript in a hidden tomb.

That would be awesome. It can still work out. In the EU, Han and Chewy work for Jabba before they go to the Corporate Sector.

@@sdsconstruction Maybe we can convince DarthAngelus to animate it after his Thrawn Trilogy.
Not many people can use "colloidal" in an action scene. This author's vocabulary is massive

NO WAY! Been wanting this since the 80s! Loved this book when I first read it in Middle School!

Soooo many years later and so fit from todays cannon. In new hope Han was already a legend so now we know what for .
This voice is the best one so far (in my opinion) it’s so good
You are a legend and a hero. Thank you so much for this.
Haha. And you are too kind.
This was fantastic, thanks so much for sharing!
Would love to see this made into a Star Wars story movie
Totally
We don’t need the books ruined by movies , the original and prequels served their purpose which was to give us a visual for all the stories
Thanks for the upload! Made it my new years resolution to read as much of the legends as I could!

Chapter 7 is the best so far! Not even close!
Cant get over how good you are getting at this , the explosion 💥 was awesome touch ! 5:38:12 🤯 💥
Thanks again. I heard it in my head as I read it. Though, I am must proud of the squish effect I used at the climax of ThonBoka.
Thankyou so much. Clear as a bell!
You are so welcome. I’m glad to hear it.
Love the mention of the droid blue max . An the headhunter fighters . A lot of writers built their stories on these turning into cannon of today

Thanks so much to you! And you’re very welcome.
I'd love to hear this in the style of the Star Wars audio cassettes

Maybe even some fuzzy sound affects and tape sound effects lol

Great stuff, thanks for the remaster, and all the hard work! Sometimes, the voice you've used, sounds a bit like Harrison Ford 👍

I tried to get the Han Solo voice pretty close. Thanks for noticing.
