I used to see the book in the supermarket when I was a kid. I think it was probably the first time I realized there was a Star Wars EU. I'm so happy I get to hear this 30 years later.
I'm glad I kept all of the original books before they slapped that Legends label on them. I've read them all and are keeping them for my kids to enjoy.
It's not just tts. There are sound fx. There are different voices for different characters. There are even different tones for thoughts vs speech. Honestly, I bet it takes more effort to do it this way than to just read the book into a mic.
it seems like they would sound like chipmunks? I like to savor my audiobooks I guess, like having morgan freeman or david ademborough (not sure about the spelling) read them to me as a bedtime story. Not cram like Im studying for an exam.
Sometimes the scene transitions are impossible to recognize until you hear different characters talking in a different place than where it was before. But the reading performance is really good, thank you 😘
It's funny how captison's devotion to the balance makes her instantly fear the jedi to b cause for tipping it but the idea of their total annihilation doing so didn't bother her s bit. A good cautionary tale about how it misleads to expect justice out of justly shared power alone, if ppl's intentions are ignored. Reminds me about pretty much any itteration of political left the world has seen in hundrets of years. Allways expecting utopia when they redistribute power zo ppl who largely hunger for revenge n ending up in terror, tyranny n further away of justice than ever.

A pity tyers didn't write more sw novels. She had a good hang of it. I wasn't ever much into the ssi - ruuk, but all the surounding bits, the various motives n feeling each other out n the soulsearching it brings to everyone... It's all very well written n interesting. Funny enough, the 16th njo novel on bakura was very similar. Hitting off very nice in all aspects but the ssi - ruuk, despite not even coming from the same author. Kinda bad look for them as a species, lol
Only the new imperial "secret emp cannon" was kinda lame. Those basicly wouldn't b sny different than what ion cannons r, which r well known since empire strikes back. Weirdly those n emp grenades r very often conveniently forgotten, if they'd turn stakes to nothing like againt ssi ruuk droid ships or against droid armies, which would b the most pointless weaponsystem to fully depend on with such weapons around.
Hi. I've been wanting to try making my own audiobooks of various Star Wars books but have been worried about copywright laws. Did you have to get any special permissions to make this and others like it?
What is with all the bootleg star wars audiobooks having that weird audio where the “S” sounds are super loud and sharp. It makes it unbearable to listen to. So close to being able to enjoy all these free audiobooks but then it sounds like a train whistle every other syllable.

Oh do this for Outbound Flight! please and awesome stuff.
Anyone can do this, you could too it's just tts. Also There's already an unabridged outbound flight.

Some may prefer 1.25 , even 1.5 depending on mood / preferences
Yes. I usually speed up audiobooks a bit when I listen to them.
I speed up most of these anywhere from 1.25 to 1.75, most often 1.5.
1.0 is unlistenable.
@@dashtheautoman Sooo slow it's unreal. Has to be to get more content out of it, but idk
