People know Jency only because of MAESTRO ILAYARAJA who INTRODUCED her, and gave her 30 HIT songs, out of the TOTAL ~33 songs in her entire career! She is eternally thankful to him for that even today as seen in this video. OTHER music directors did NOT give her such opportunities! She chose teaching as career despite Ilayaraja advising her to stay. Her family (like all other Indian families) made the choice for her. She did NOT heed Ilayaraja's advice like CHITRA did when the latter was considering her M.A exams, IR asked her to sing Sindhu Bairavi songs. Her father guided her rightly, and she won the National Award for the album. Sadly, Jency did not get that kind of a guidance from her family. But, whether it is SPB or Mano or Vani or Jency or Minmini, as usual, people brew their own stories and throw their brickbats ONLY at IR even though the latter never did anything they accuse him of!
Its her destiny, tht Jenci hd to spurn Isaignani's golden offer on a platter, to be a playback singer & instead, take up a govt job in kerala.

ஜென்சி தமிழ்த் திரைப்படங்களில் பாடியது 50 அல்லது 60 பாடல்களுக்கும் குறைவாகத்தான் இருக்கும். ஆனால் ஒவ்வொரு பாட்டும் இன்று வரை மக்கள் மனத்தில் நிலைத்து நிற்பவை.
எப்படி திடீரென உள்ளே வந்தாரோ அதே மாதிரியே திடீரென வெளியேறியும் விட்டார் (உண்மையில், "வெளியேற்றப் பட்டார்" என்பதுதான் பெரும்பான்மையான கருத்தாக இருக்கிறது)
