I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. In dance, my forte are contemporary and musicals and have done most of my performances in theatre. for me Renjun was truly the MVP for Poison, his body lines are PERFECTION! he's so elegant and powerful too

i love renjun's poison performance. i agree its one of his best performance, cause he really show off his dancing skill which he doesnt have the opportunity much. hope they perform it on tour, both poison and sos. also, the outfit and the makeup for MMA is a chef kiss. he's perfect that day. i love him

I've always been a fan of Renjun's turns and ability to make beautiful imagery with his lines and angles.
One of my favorite early Renjun moments was when I watched NCT Dream's GO Dance Practice, and in the second pre-chorus he does this movement that almost looks like it's in slow motion before going into a turn. His dance abilities was really on display there! If you haven't yet, I recommend watching the whole video once and just focusing on him. Even back then, he was an exceptional dancer!

Both songs are in my top b-sides from Dream for sure.
I know one of the main choreographers for Poison is Sea Ni Hale and he also did lots of choreo for the latest 127 Unity stages. Amazing work and the boys really lived that whole feeling and character.
I love their decision to use hand mics for SOS and it hyped the show perfectly and led into ISTJ (NCT's whole ending to SBS show was a stunning crescendo, I was so proud) Holding hand mics changed what they could do choreo-wise (but the way Mark did the same choreo as the dancers while doing his rap right at the start had my jaw on the floor) but it was the perfect attitude and delivery. Sea Ni Hale did that one too with Ingyoo Kim of We Dem Boyz and you can feel the style they brought and the boys delivered!!

when it comes to dancing, as someone who spent my high school years dancing, it's easy for me to find the weakest dancer (not saying they are bad dancers or weak dancers, just the weakest among the members of a group) in the group but i am having a hard time with nct dream, there are no dance holes in this team istg. there are also no awkward dancers here and it's the first time that i see a group that there are no awkward dancers, tho i am sure there are many of them but among the teams that i have crossed, i think they are the first one who have no awkward dancers or dance holes.
The mics they were using were customized. I watched a video of them unboxing. Some of 'em received exactly what they chose but some were I think altered or something. Jaemin's mic came in later than the rest because it was his was full of beads if Im not mistaken
it was like rhinestones cause he made it sparkly, but then that covered the yo dream at the bottom 😅

hey jeff! i know you don’t touch on much jpop, but if you ever do, there’s a company whose artists are recently on the rise in the industry, BMSG is the company’s name!
in BMSG, they have two boy groups called BE:FIRST and MAZZEL, both groups have dance arsenals you will be awed by (some were professional dancers before) and amazing singing standards overall!
they also have a filipino soloist, REIKO, who recently released a song in both Japanese called Itazura and in Tagalog called Hanggang Kailan Pa! he has an amazing voice and tone that is both heartwarming and impressive!
BMSG is set on a mission to go global someday, and they believe in their artists and quality of music per the artists’ desire and wishes! i hope you’ll check them out one day!
