I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. In dance, my forte are contemporary and musicals and have done most of my performances in theatre. Although my channel is mostly known for dance analysis, I am currently inactive in the dance community.

the red string is for the Japanese legend, "there's people connected for a red string that no matter what happens they are destined to get to know each other, the string can stretch but it would never break" basically they are meant to be in dream together and jisung is the one that connected them all
It’s also about their pinky swear to never leave Dream.

not just Japanese, also Chinese and Korean
it is always dream and fate stories, all of them are just all fated to be with each other

There was an indeed a body double for Jisung, I'm guessing for the more difficult parts like the jumps. I was shocked though because the double said Jisung only learned on the set, but that first posture wew😩 I hope he get to take actual classes! He has been mentioning learning contemporary dance since last year.
jisung learning ballet for this comeback, im so proud of him and its really different to his dancing style but man he did so amazing. he's so talented..
9:19 Lol. Yes that's really jisung doing the ballet. He's been learning contemporary for like 1-2 years now. Said on bubble that he wanted to be more diverse in his dancing. The way he had me shook in Chapter 1. Also I dont know how true this is but one of the staff from set confirmed that it was actually him dancing some of it, but take that with a grain of salt.
Oh and taeyong also posted on his insta story that he was impressed with jisung.

Jisung did some parts of the ballet himself but for those that his face wasn’t shown it was the body double (the body double’s friend even posted and said that the body double guided/taught jisung on set too and said that jisung was a fast learner)

You didn't notice at 12:16 and at 14:35 Jeno with wings, in that operation they removed his wings!
They do have a double for ballet, but apparently the double said he taught jisung on set for the scenes he did!

It's so funny how you completely missed the wing under Jeno's bed because you were too focused on his amazing back!
The surgery scene actually tells they removed his wings but he still remembers and drew his wing back on the mattress as a reminder for him.
A symbolism of losing your freedom but wishing to get it back once again.
The whole concept is about society and how people their age feels about it (conflict feelings, wanting to rebel against it, etc.)
But... from what Chenle said, the MV of the title track will have nothing to do with those dream ()scape videos... let's wait and see
jisung did have a body double on set, and he helped jisung while they were on set together!! (and said he’s naturally good at ballet :D)

jisung just said today on weverse live that he had body double for some parts! he said that he learned some ballet when he was younger but he forgot all of it and since they didnt have much time he had to learn some of it again in only two days and that his calf felt it was going to burst lol he also said the director did a great job editing it 🥹

I did ballet when I was trainee for a few months? But for this, I could only practice for 2 days. Although for ballet, even just for one day, your calves will start aching. I'm so thankful that the director edited it very well
btw, these film chapter 1-5 does not relate to the title track smoothie. so what happen in the film might not appear in the music video. now, the fans are excited and waiting for smoothie teaser.

Just LOVING how good the new music sounds in these chapter films and this darker creepy mysterious concept! I kept thinking if these were metaphors/imagery of trainees trying to get though their grueling trainee period to debut, idols being locked up in their company's 'dungeon' and trying to escape to gain artistic freedom, or 7DREAM trying to break through their label's graduation system and remain as 7DREAM. Regardless of whatever these mean, refreshing concept for DREAM and very excited for the new music! Thanks for the reaction - hoping for all of us to be able to attend TDS3!

Look up "red thread of fate" if you want more detail behind this soul-mate idea/concept and you'll see the whole mythology behind it. It goes way back, first in Chinese mythology and then throughout east Asia.
The injuries in the feet pics made me think of something far more intense than ballet. You don't get lacerations on the top of your feet like that unless you are doing something like survival training barefoot or possibly they are beaten on their feet (it is a form of horrible torture that has been used). Perhaps my mind is especially dark but I immediately thought - these boys are being hurt deliberately.
The water tipping over at the end is definitely deliberate. It was water in a cup that tipped over (and then flowed weird) right in the first part that clued Jisung in that this might not be "reality". At the end I think he said: "This key for Reality &... Dream Beyond" The key has Reality & Beyond written on it and then the date of their debut.
So not just returned to "reality" but beyond? whatever that means... But it all hooks back into the NCT concept since the beginning. People connecting via their dreams and then being able to manifest those dreams,
