Brian May was on the Alan Titchmarsh show afternoon of Tuesday 2 October (ITV1 3pm), taking part on a discussion about whether it is wrong or right to be culling badgers. Alan was attempting to obtain clear information for the public to make up their minds. Ben Pullen all but said Brian was lying and then could not substantiate his case, refusing to acknowledge irrefutable fact that bovine TB came from cows originally and seemed to have figuratively 'shot himself in the foot'. Brian is his normal calm and patient self.

Good on you Brian , let the facts speak for themselves 50 years of scientific studies on the of culls have shown exactly what you said i.e. it makes no appreciable difference. CASE CLOSED.
No wonder Ben Pullen has a massive smile on his face at the end. I don't think Alan gave Brian as much time as the other two in the opposing camp. Despite that you did the badgers proud Brian, Rock on.

The most important point was made when you said,most badgers were dead before they were left on the road.I see many badgers in country lanes without a mark on them.The stupid farmers are killing them and instead of taking them to the main roads,dumping them in 20 mile per hour country lanes.ROAD KILLS not at 20 miles an hour.The RSPCA SHOULD INVESTIGATE.
Do you by a-n-y chance have the entire show from this date? My favorite actor, Jack Ellis, was on and as I live in the U.S. can not access it on the ITV site. :-((

Why wouldn't Alan let him speak more? It seems that the farmer in this situation prefers to attack other peoples' theories than defend his own. Waste of space.

@judi756 ~ absolutely true about the conditions these animals have to endure. Don't know how it is in the UK but in America they shoot the cattle full of antibiotics to combat all the filth and disease these poor animals are forced to live in. Insane practices and so cruel. I became a vegetarian years ago when I learned of the horrors of factory farming in America. I admire Brian's tireless efforts on behalf of all animals. Wish I could sign the petition.

I was out on my cycle in Hampshire yesterday - did 40miles and saw 3 dead badgers on the side of country lanes near farms. I'd usually expect to see just one every 500miles or so.

Looks like Ben Pullen isn't very smart. I have to agree with Darren when he says the man is just a bully type of person. All he can do is insult people. Brian can prove his statement with scientific evidence. Fiona has a point too, by saying; "the scoop for the vaccination trial is cut down, in favor of culling". This shows once again that Cameron and his government are just bloodthirsty. Well, if they go ahead with the cull there will be alot of suffering and the bTB problem will not be solved.

Titchmarsh should certainly have stopped that idiot farmer from insulting Dr Bri so badly. Calling him a liar, saying that if he had said in in Court he'd be imprisoned for perjury ....bloody cheek!
