Tip for anybody looking into low poly game design: Fingers and toes are usually just one object and not separated, normally, textures on the hand would be used to create the illusion that they are separated.
@@dusk8686 arent v1's fingers separate???? (the first person model, which i assume is what you're talking about since the third person model of v1 is only viewable in clash mode)
Usually just the index is separate. Rest of them can be one solid. Or even if you model them separate. They would still go with one bone. This goes for most all low poly rigs @@choesta
I know it takes practice. But mannn you make even low poly look easy. Very basic stuff on blender is not simple in the slightest.(and this is wayyyy more then very basic to clarify. The UI alone is a project to discover)It overwhelmed be when I gave it a try😂😂 maybe not my thing. But I’m glad it’s free and available for me to try again whenever I want!
Dont put yourself down its all about practice I had no idea what I was doing at first but after a lot of research on google and countless tutorials from professionals I proud to say... I can finally delete the starting cube
My favorite kind of low poly is Nintendo64 low poly. the techniques in those old models arnt replicated in low poly models now days, so it doesnt give off the same feeling

I did this in advance 3d animation class and it was so fun plus my teacher made us make the character do a funny walk then fall on this face but make it as realistic as possible
That low poly chara ter easily could become high poly. Topography is done really good and proportions are good. I still have a lot of problems when modeling any kind of humans and animals. Objects and anything like that is easy, but character modeling is really hard for me.
Fun fact time! First time I did something like this my head hurt so bad that night that I had to go to sleep at 7 PM from the immense agony from the migraine
Start by creating something simple like mobile phone or laptop. Something with basic geometry. This also will allow you to get use to the tools. Good luck 👍
They need to make something like one of those model drawing apps but with the ability to make animation so us poor folks on mobile can make this. Anyone know something similar?

I’ve been working on a low poly model for like 12 hours now. Seeing it done so quick and smooth is frustrating, but also motivating.
I've seen various techniques on making models, but this one's got to be the best one I've seen for making humanoid assets!

When fingers are parallel they are touching (or at least a LOT closer) they separate as you angle them away from each other
