imagine paying thousands of dollars to go on a cruise and they take you to the coast of somalia of all places, thats the real tragedy
I suggest that the water cannon must be added or mix with an acid to make these pirates flee away
So it can get blown back in the face of the person operating it???
Add some gravel - and the attack would be over. But what is way more important - they would never ever try that again.
force the captured pirate to a lfie of slavery lmao@@BernhardSchwarz-xs8kp
It’s operated by remote dummy
@@JamesRice-wx8jbdid you really just call someone a "dummy?" How old are you, James?
The captain saved everyone's lives by dropping that anchor. The ship stopped moving towards the shore only 100 meters before it landed on a reef. A proper Norwegian reef. Like a can opener for ships. 100 meters that is only half the length of the freaking ship 😱 Yes it felt like the ship would be torn apart every time the chain got under tension but it had to be done. This was the only way.
Every cruise ship should have Some military gunners when needed to watch
Facts, they know they’re passing by risky countries and red zones they should prepare better.
The narrator in this vid states @6:45 that the Titanic sank on January 15 1912. The Titanic sank on April 14, 1912 - April 15, 1912. This is a great channel and just recently subbed, though this mistake should be corrected when time permits. Thanks.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention! I really appreciate your sharp observation. I indeed made an error there, the Titanic did sink on April 14-15, 1912, not January 15. I'll ensure to rectify this mistake in the video as soon as possible. Thank you for your support and for helping to improve the quality of our channel's content!
Titanic also wasn't a cruise ship. It was an ocean liner!
I was going to comment on the wrong date of the sinking of the Titanic, but you got it!!
Sometimes I'm almost smart...@@alasanasilvia5605
I would have absolutely no objection to lethal force use by the cruise ship company in a case of piracy attempt. There are better methods than a shootout. The enormous revenue a cruise generates should easily cover the cost of two or three weapons experts with guided rocket weapons. The oily debris left in the water might even evoke some careful consideration about future attempts.
I live by Detroit. It’s hard to comprehend that many people being defenseless against a few. Grow a pair
The law doesn't allow them to protect themselves.... a few armed people is all it takes to gain control of hundreds or thousands of unarmed people...
They should have sea marshalls like they do on aircraft. All crews should be trained in firearms use.
having guns on ships is a whole thing because of international treaties, but I agree. Have a few guys who are trained with firearms along with a small cache of weapons to be used in emergencies. Hell, even have it so it requires 2 keys like nuke boats do. That way no one crew member can access weapons alone.
For cryoing out loud. How many marshalls and ship personnel does it take to sink a pirate boat? One motherload right on top of them - but the international media- always ready to help the attacker by declaring them the victims would have a field day. Not that they care about anything but - it gives them material to use as entertainment and getting paid for it.
Pirate attacks on cruise ships are so exceedingly rare this idea would be completely unfeasible...
First above all , cruise ship do not sail thru out those waters of the Somalia coast , because is not a tourist route and nothing of interest to admire .
This is a fantasy narrative .
Excellent and real thing photographed in such a situation great work,
Best Wishes
Best wishes for what? Spending $ billions on developing systems and methods to prevent pirates are taking over cruise ships and container ships killing innocent people in the process and getting $ hundreds of millions in ransom - instead of using one motherload of whatever we have available and sinking their boats? Piracy would be over in a heart beat.
The cruise ships should equip with machines guns to defend from any pirate to attack them. And in case of attack, sink pirate boat. If it was done these lascars would think twice before attempting any attack.
A firefight could endanger the lives of passengers and crew.
@@rrsp60it could also kill the pirates, who were already firing on the cruise ship with RPG's.
Why disarm the victim?
They should have short range missile or machine gun mounted on every corner of the ship
How many Polish does it take to change a light bulb? Oh yes - on every corner, on every floor. No - what it takes is a cold-blooded tactic. One mother loaded a bomb on top of them. It might not sink the ship but the detonation would blow the pirates into pieces. And piracy would be over in a heartbeat.
RMS Titanic was not a "Cruise Ship", she was an Ocean Liner, there is a difference!
She also sank in April, not January.
Some idiots these days.
Great report. Thanks for sharing!
Billion dollars cruise but doesn't have security like guns that why I never go on cruise
I can't think of anything worse than a cruise ship holiday, apart from a none UK prison 😂
Titanic wasn't a cruise ship. It was an ocean liner.
"51 people... That's it?! I thought it was like a thousand! That's no tragedy! How many people do you typically lose on a normal cruise... 30? 40?" -George Costanza 🤣
These cruise ships should offer pirate shooting as a recreational activity. It would be a real crowd pleaser.
Great idea!
I worked on Queen Victoria for 7 months, did a World Voyage in 2019 and it was amazing
The info about the viking ship is like this….it left the harbour with minimum oil in the engine,so when it hit waves the oil pump started sucking air cause the little oil that was swinging side to side in the tank and the computer is set to turn engine off to prevent damage….
like?
I can still recall a time back around 1990 a Greek passenger liner began sinking, but instead of helping the passengers, all the crew and even the captain were the first off the ship! Talk about outright cowardice.
Good coverage keep it up
Titanic sank on 15. april 1912, not 15. january 1912.
Thank you for your correction! I apologize for the misinformation. You are correct, the Titanic sank on April 15, 1912, not January 15, 1912. I will make sure to correct and update this information in the video description. Thank you for watching and providing valuable feedback.
@@NauctisTitanic is an Ocean liner not a cruise
Not important for the media. Making money talking about it is way more important. Forget about the details - journalists of course - but those are gone long time ago.
thank you, princess jane
Your welcome
"Piracy by Pirates" No!
hahahaha, made me laugh when she said that
Better get some machines guns!!!!
Fucking water cannon???? What is this Disney world ???😂
Piracy is the least of my worries during the cruise.
Are ships sailing through the Red Sea where there has been attacks by the Houthis? We are planning to do a cruise on the Viking Sky from Istanbul to Athens and ending in Rome? Is this a safe route? Is the Viking Sky in good shape since the last incident?
This is not safe because they pass the Somali area without escort so the shipping company ignores the safety of each passenger.
All cruise ships are floating Petri dishes.
They should open tours that travel into pirate territory in independent waters and allow passengers to bring firearms
Just go stay in a hotel…..pointless!
Cruiships can be protected by this Pirates attack by using drone aside from equipping it with guns.
I’m watching this as my ship is getting ready to debark
The number of people that travel by cars and trains must be huge compared to those who sail on cruise ships. Ridiculous comparisons given.
Also, no aid to the country of Somalia, along with denying entrance of any and all persons to our country. Another Black Hawk Down!
And yet we have one of them in our congress. 😮🇺🇸🇺🇸
You should use a long range cruise missle or perhaps a vulcan cannon machine gun. That'll teach them.
Water cannons are cute but Nothing beats a coupla 50’s
A citizen of the USA perchance?
@@patagualianmostly7437 no sir. Only defensive……..🤷🏼♂️
Should be been gasoline cannons followed by a couple of napalm flares.
nice video
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the video.☺️
Wonderful video!
Thank you very much!🖤
I think a few small misses might be in order!
Just install some big gun system on both sides of the ship. They can be small and hardly not seen by the tourists. But when those pirates come near. You can fire shots drilling holes in those small boats so they sink. That is way more effective than spraying the boat full of water. That takes way too long.
one of them from Paris tourism cruise
Evacuate to where?
Did you just say January 15?? It was April 14
Be safe our fellow brothers and sisters
RPGs??? who's passing out these guns. Nevemind😬
The Titanic sank April 15 1912 the titanic was a Ocean Liner not a cruise ship
Nice video but from the title only 1 pirate attack in this video.
Outside territorial waters 50 Callable machine guns and rpg s
She has a beautiful voice ❤ Love it
Very good video.
Thank you very much!
There is no way captain is getting off boat before me
Eh the titanic had a very hot side of the hull that was cooled rapidly and the production was rushed. Ships nowadays can have thicker metal or steel or tungsten armor to prevent any ruptures or punctures or penetration. Ships now don’t use coal as fuel or wood for fuel ships can use nuclear reactors or diesel or whatever their engines use but nothing as dangerous as coal or wood.
Why would a cruise ship even go that way? Better yet who would book that? Not me! Tbh you couldn't pay me to go on a cruise! I'm terrified and beyond respectful of the ocean!
Great job but several facts are wrong. Titanic hit the iceberg on April 14th and sank on April 15th. Also, bad weather was not a factor. It was dead calm that night
The Titanic wasn't a cruise ship, also the technical term for a ship that "sways from side to side" is called rolling...
The Titanic struck an iceberg on April 14, 1912
This is too funny
😂
Titanic sailed on April, not on January
Hide your money and jewellery and give them few
Please I have an accent too in English but Latin names? A little effort.
Remember the 2005 fact or one before.
When you mentioned Titanic sinking in 1912 it was NOT in January but in April; someone did NOT properly fact check their information before posting up this video to UA-cam 🤷♀️
Titanic hit the iceberg on January 15th ?
You trying to rewrite history….?
I think Joe Biden could use you !
What Would John Moses Browning Do?
Decompose
For these pirates i would like to see a special forces team aboard the cruise liners and any attempts to interfere with a sailing then these teams can dispose of unwanted intruders...
I suggest Water Cannon to be mixed with RAW RED 🍒 CHILLY POWDER! This burns Eyes and nose and enough to deter even the most Desperate pirate 😢
Costa concordia was my sister ship. Luckily when it happen i was in costa atlantica in carribean
🧢
Give all passengers hand grenades ..make it like a 4th of July event,or rocket launchers 😅😅😅
Also, biggest reason that Titanic sank is due to severe shortage of lifeboats on board…..as they thought that Titanic was unsinkable. Actually, lifeboats were only allowed to be used by first class passengers…..dark part in human history 🥲.
This line should be mentioned in this video.
I feel like there should be atleast 20 armed guards on duty on a cruise ship trained guards
not making me feel too safe...Pirates vs a cruise ship...hmmm no no thanks
Titanic hit the iceberg on April 14 1912, not January 15 😊
It is safer to bring firearms to the ship than be pirated.
Don't try anything stupid to get yourself kill unless you have highly professional army to handle them on board.
Ships don't undertake a 'journey'...they undertake a voyage!
what happened to all people passenger ❤
It was actually April 15, 1912
Cool
@ 6:46 The Titanic sank on APRIL 15 1912 not JANUARY.
Doesn’t make a difference it’s gone
6:43 Titanic sunk on April 14, 1912 😅
PILOT NAVIGATE IN DEEP OCEAN MUST HAVE VASE EXPERIENCE. TACKLE WAVE OR TO WHERE TO ANCHOR.. WATER TONAGE DRAF.ON OR OFF LOAD.
K.T. RAJAN VELAN FOMER VESSAL PILOT NOW AGE 82.
I think the Titanic was an ocean liner
You know that aeroplane and more safe
I’d just go to my room and chill personally. What are the odds they come to my room particularly.
Right, because wealthy cruise ship passengers don't carry any jewelry or expensive goods in their rooms...
@@MrMastrsushi Thats a good point but im gonna take the odds that of the hundreds on hundreds of rooms the situation will be handled by the time they hit mine.
@@MrMastrsushibut they have luxury jewelry stores on most ships that they can loot, casinos, tons of bars/stores/business offices, etc with lots of money/safes filled with money, it would take hours before they could break into and enter into staterooms. At least, if they are smart and professional,… that’s what I’d do… and now I realize I sound like a professional criminal 😂
Water cannons are great, but it’s still like taking a knife to a gunfight. The pirates are armed with guns and RPG’s, I say return the favor. In this day and age, anyone should be able to defend themselves at sea. Especially with firepower.
@@papabrtrk Just shoot holes in their small boats and they will sink immediately.
You’d think they would fix the problem with the oil pumps so that doesn’t happen.
Remember you have passengers aboard.
Passengers are HUMAN.
No reason for a ship to loose power in that way.
You need to learn the difference between a "ship" and a "BOAT".
I am the Captain now,
I thought the Titanic sank in April 1912, not January like the video says… Makes me not believe anything said in the video if they can’t edit it prior to posting
April not January
This why I say away from this cruise boat!
machine guns and artillary needed.. Ships of that size run at an astonishing 7 miles an hour
They must also carry tear gas or pepper juice sprayer 😂
Zebruger. England - France in March 1987 They left the back doors open. my aunt should have been on it she swopped shifts with her best friend who lost her life that day. Along with another 192 crew & passengers.
April 15th 1912 not January
Titanic sinking. Nothing to do with pirates!
Your date of the titanic sinking is wrong 14,15April 1912 not 15 January 1912
Hope you don’t get a heartattact
Very Misleading Title!!!
The rest of this video had nuthin to do with pirates
❤❤
Why would anyone travel anywhere near Somalia ?!
Okay, Ships are safe. So next time I'm going to sail from Vancouver to Kamloops, B.C., Canada by ship!
