It's been great seeing all the different ways to make toxic work. The tempo gameplan here works really well with the removal and counters. I feel like the Hive would slot great into a slower control deck too.
For those that are wondering yes at 9:36 he made a double big mistake, first he didnt exile the dominus because i guess he didn't read his card and reading the card explain the card? (the 'poison' smother exile and does not destroy, at 3 poison (corrupted) it exile any creature thus didn't care if the dominus was indestructible or 3 cost) and on the previous attack while it is true that you can't hexproof the land since they are colorless the Mite ability also give toxic 1 so he missed lethal there.
We assumed at the prerelease that toxic didn't stack. When a card said "has toxic 2" we assumed this meant toxic 1 or 0 went to 2. No, it means toxic 1 and toxic 2 on the same card. Meaning a applied toxic 3 result. Also, if your creature has 0 or less power, it WILL NOT apply the poison from it's toxic amount. It must apply a positive combat damage to the opponent.
@@arthurkeech Hey could you solve a little problem. There's this very difficult math problem for children, that a comment on youtube needs help with. What's 1+2?
@@arthurkeech if your card starts with toxic A and a card says "has toxic B" then that means your creature actually now has toxic A+B. This applies for all toxic amounts stacked.
Are there any videos on decks that will be Rotation proof for the 2023 rotation? I played a few years back (Started around 2017 stopped at Dominaria (2019) I was interested in getting into it again but most of my money is being sunk into 40k rn so I wanted to see if there is any cheaper 2023 rotation proof decks
Well, rotation is a good 8 months away, why would you be trying to build a rotation proof deck before you have access to all the cards that are going to be available post rotation? There's going to be like two more sets before rotation happens.
@@HomeCookinMTG Well I know they have around 4-6 sets be standard rotation. I was mainly saying for the oldest sets (to avoid them) since I really dont have the funds to just dump out after every new set drops.
@@chazbrown1139 then like my advice is to like not play standard then. Like I understand older formats have a higher barrier of Entry as far as like price point goes but you will spend way less in the long run than you will trying to build a new standard deck every year. There's no point in trying to build a rotation proof deck when there are another like two sets that are going to come out this year before rotation even happens we don't know if any decks are going to be rotation proof yet because we don't know what the meta is going to look like at all after rotation. 5 months into the season is a little too early to be worrying about making your deck rotation proof is my point
20:00 "I need a second black source... or a Mirrex" so, fun fact about Mirrex the turn it comes into play
Multiple lethal punts due to not realizing that best boy skrelv gives an additional toxic to the creature it protects😢😢
If you didn't like punts, you shouldn't have come to Punt City 😂
@@dumplingdepinto I needed something to yell at today, though.
Ngl, it was kinda funny

The fact that toxic stacks makes it way more scary than I thought.

Toxic is just shit that makes magic stink more than it already does.
@J M toxic 2 only applies to 2 poison not 3. They do stack (2 instances of toxic 1 are the same toxic 2)

9:53 toxic stax is an archetype I want to see played now
I have not been this excited to play standard since 2012. I loved playing infect back in the day.
14:21 "Children's card games, PLEASE!"
Made me laugh way too much.
If toxic becomes a problem, which in one versus 1 60 card, it could prepare for bans
That's no salad bowl, Jace is trying to pee in the sink.
Best. Thumbnail. Ever.
Who does their art? I'm assuming it's someone on the team.
Was looking for comments like this. her eyes are a little more off than there normal art... but the reference is amazing!
thumbnail art is perfect
For against the mono white toxic, you could have used skrelv to give your ub flier another toxic 1 which would have been lethal with the proliferate
nevermind he realized immediately after
My favorite combo so far has been Skrelv and Jawbone Duelist. Four poison counters on a bypass attack.
13:49 SALAD! OMG LETTUCE GO!
I clicked on the video just because of the Britney Spears Toxic song reference! 😂
Skrelv is Mother of Mites obviously. It's how she pops out all those lil buggers with her enchantment
Lesser MoM
I'm still amazed there's no way to deal with infect at this point.
Leeches is starting to seem somewhat reasonable now.
Good old Mr. Infect. He's finally back in all his glory!
The thumbnail of this video is perfection! 😂

@@HomeCookinMTG I have no clue whats recent or not because I havent found what sets are within the newest rotation. I havent played in 4 years
Props to the thumbnail artist
I mean, i also have a removal tribal deck coz of the annoying "Kill 15 creatures" mission
Missed opportunity for "Mitey Mom"
While Crim is screaming about wanting to game in the mini white match. I picture they are also Crim screaming the same thing
I for one welcome our new Phyrexian overlords and the shake up they have brought to standard
Look, all im saying is if Crim posts a video, its an AUTO click no matter what i was going to watch, its just Crim now lmao
Love the Britney reference in the thumbnail
keeps forgetting the it gives toxic 1that game where they were at 9 you ahd game.
I have built a toxic deck but put it in a feather shell.
You should do a black/white life gain/life drain deck
Skrelv give the creature toxic 1 and it stack, so the flyers would have toxic 2.
The fact that Crim did not crowd surf the Karn every match is a flavor fail.
This was from the preview day, I don't think he has that emote there.
Can somebody explain me what does it means that « toxic stacks » ?
If something has toxic 1 and it gains another toxic 1, it effectively has toxic 2 now, so it deals more poison counters
@@TDOsterberg okay thanks ! That’s wild tho
Archfiend is The Truth!!!
Ik you probs didnt notice this but you couldve beat mono white infect cause skrevl gives an extra toxic
If my mouth couldve just waited a second longer than lmao
Argussy lol iykyk
Lol that thumbnail
Petition to call Skrelv "Mother of Mites".
Skrelv Mite go all the way.
Truly toxic
I curse you Crim then hiss at you and you lose.

toxic aka poison is a janky craptastic game mechanic it's so lazy esh
