Ha ha, knew that would happen. EA will fix bugs that don't benefit us like the selfie interaction but not the ones that break the game.
You want game breaking bugs to be rushed in being fixed so you can complain more that it isn't working properly??
Ohhhhh they soon do a fast patch for this yet my plants are still going back to dirt piles! Ugh…..is there any point of complaining anymore lol

For me the real issue with this idiotic Rewards Event is the fact that your "free" stuff is locked to the device used when you claimed them. I own 2 Xbox consoles. My den has access to the stuff but my bedroom has no idea. The update today patched out the work around color filter leaving only the gallery option which I don't trust at all. I can't express enough how much I hate this whole stupid thing. It was announced with little to no lead in time, designed poorly, executed poorly & received poorly. I can't think of a single good thing about this event. The 1x1 Bar would be a positive but given I could lose access to that single item just by walking 10ft due south in my own home I'm really not planning to ever even use the item.
I hope it keeps the ones I have claimed for this event and not clear all of them. I just knew they would do this with an update/patch, pity that can't do Dine Out and other game updates and fixes that quickly... hmm?
This "event" is so bad, you can barely call it an event. And I heard that it isn't even connected to your account. At least I'm glad I can safely upload base game only houses with these items.
I’m one of those people who hasn’t got access to the new stuff yet. I really hate how they’ve handled this whole thing. It’s confusing. I keep having to check in, because I just don’t know what’s happening. I feel a little left out 😅
For me this reward thing doesn't even work for me in Netherlands. as I logged in last week like almost every day. And they don't fix that, so now I never will get them
It’s still under a trial run until June 13th. That’s when it’ll start for everyone.

That’s sad.. I am also Dutch and the event did work for me. But seems like something went wrong like it always does with the sims 4🫤

For me, the rewards in the home screens are still not showing, with or without mods, not with repairing the game. I hate this 😂
They’re doing a slow rollout for some reason. Not everyone has it yet

Not surprised they patched the event items. Really expected this. Doesn't affect me though, as I've been getting them as they become available.
My EA app is so messed up that no patches/games are showing up. I have a vanilla game, never had CC/mods.
I was playing my game last night, my sim was at work and instructed to complete a task. I literally searched every option and nothing turned up.

Yet they won't fix the gallery bug where only about 25 items are displayed from your favorites. EA Things.
Oh no, they did patched the exploit glitch. Thanks EA, now I came back and play only the week one rewards were kept.
Oh well, we enjoyed the fun while it lasted.
I guess it's back to just log in and go with the flow.
I thought they are going to finally patch the
performance issues like the game crushes and in my experience not kicking me out of the game, it's worst it shows me the blue screen of death.
How about that, they patched the glitch that I really love, that exploit. Oh well I need a Milkyway candy bar in real life.
My worry is can we keep the items. Me and my daughter play on my ea account on different PCs. When I claimed the reward it didn’t unlock for her as well so if we reinstall the game will we lose it? As we are both on my ea account playing the camera game.

Not touching DX11 until its mandatory. Patch went fine for me, no major issues. Still don’t like how heavy handed this push was though.
When are they going to patch the fact that our accounts don’t remember our unlocks so we’ll lose them at another computer, etc.
Appearantly they are saved in Usersettings.ini Back up that file and move it to your new computer and you *should* be fine. Or just move you entire game folder in my documents. Let's hope that actually works.
Well I went back to the sims 3 and I'm having a ton of funn again 😊

I switched directx11 mode off. I was seeing weird text glitches where the text on notifications etc would cut off part way through. It's likely a clash with a mod I guess. I play on a gaming pc and didn't see much difference in performance when using it. It might have been slightly quicker going to manage worlds or loading up cas. Not really worth it though.
Agreed. Yeah, some mods aren’t compatible with the DirectX 11 mode. A few have been updated for it. But that combined with the photo bug and also not seeing much difference performance-wise I might as well just stick with 9 for now

I have yet to play my game after this latest patch release. So, I'll find out if my game runs better. I didn't surprise me that the Gurus would patch the work arounds to unlocking all of the free content from being available all at once. I guess this wasn't tested before this event started. Thanks for listing all of these bug fixes. I haven't looked yet to see what was changed. Have a great day.
