Rod is one of the best keyboardists EVER. I could have this on repeat for a very long time!!
EDIT. If you don't care for good ol' rock 'n' roll, don't listen. One VERY SPECIAL SET OF LYRICS FOR ALL OF US HUMAN BEINGS. No matter what befalls us in life, PLEASE hang on 'til the end. ❤
Hugs goin' out to ALL MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS. Peace out.
Colin Bluntstone. What an amazing vocalist. Looking forward to seeing them live in April 2023
Not easy to keep your chops after so many years but to still be able to sing like that is amazing. Well done Colin.
Bet Bruce Dickinson nodded to those vocals a few times.
Colin is awesome
1972 - High School Graduation Year; great song from a great band!
Great video, this is the best song of 1972.
Hold your head up Thanks
It's the best. rock. song. EVER!!
Awesome sound, harmonies, just beautifully performed !!!!!! Love how Colin has this perfect vibrato... Just perfect !!!! Thank you, Good Men !!!! Please Thank your Great Wives, Families, and ALL, for Sharing All of You with us !!!!
God Bless you and yours!!!! Fran Danco
This band deserves a proper venue, and proper compensation! Not that it's wasted on these admirers, but that this music deserves a beautiful building to hold this majesty!!!
Years back I was fortunate enough to know and talk with Al Kooper. I vividly remember him saying "Rod Argent is the best." I can clearly see the influence he had on Al as a B3 player...
Wish I would have been on that cruise , the Zombies and the Moody Blues, WOW, funny when they scanned the crowd , they looked like my age. LOL. You still got it guys.
was walking the pool deck from here to wherever, this stopped me dead in my tracks & had to pick my mouth off the deck, & they most fan friendly I have ever seen/met
RIP Jim Rodford & thank you for the decades or art!
Rod Argent has acknowledged that Jim, who was his brother-in-law, was a major inspiration and influence...a true mentor. He was also a tremendous bassist. He wasn't the flashy type, though when Argent started to stretch on 'Nexus', 'Circus' and 'Counterpoints', his bass playing was superb, as was his sound. I saw Argent three times, with two lineups. And though my focus was on Rod and drummer Rob Henrit, it was Jim Rodford's playing that really caught my attention. It wasn't flash or fast, but it made everyone else sound so good.
@@optimus163 Indeed he was. Correction made, thank you.
Based on this performance I will 100% buy my entire family tickets to see them perform.
Takes me back to my teen years!! Thank you!! 😎😊
Love Steve Rodfords drumming
Wow, this is the day I fell in love with The Zombies - on the first Moodies cruise. So cool!!!!!!!
They were in Calgary this past July. They sound even better. Unbelievable!
Old Rockers never Die !!

For old guys they rock pretty fierce!
They helped invent it.... :)
Rod Argent-one of the ORIGINAL space cadets!
Wonderful music that I just keep coming back to.
Excelente!!! Grande abraço aqui do Brasil. Sou de 1950 mas, como voces, ainda dou as Minhas cacetadas!!! Muito Obrigado!!!
Lucky you ! Wow 🤩 They can still sing brilliantly ! Thanks for sharing 🙏
Great video. Thanks for sharing. We used to play this in a rock band I was in back in the early 70's.
Great video Melinda! Thanks for sharing it! Love the spirit of these guys. We were so lucky to be there.
I've never been so in Love! Best band ever!
Fantastic, thank you so much!! I was right up front and fell in lve with this group that night!
Great show. God bless your hearts for real.
And the music gods will play now
Great cruise and great job on the video. Can't wait to sail again. Hope they come back.
i remember seeing Argent back in the 70's do the hold your head up
rod argent is awesome on keyboards
Finish guy Matti Sarapaltio made good leslie amps. When Rod was in Finland and hear that sound he want to buy it.But Matti dont want to sell because it was only one.😅
There's no song like this. What Argent does with an open D chord like that adds the complete kick to this. I don't see how they even thought of it.
OK- Rod was 68 here and cranking! Geez- I hope I can WALK at 73! I've been a musician since 14- NEVER could hold a candle!
Good memory.
They sound like YES .. hell yeah ... god speaks
WOW ❣️💎🇬🇧
First song back in the 70s that I, remember as a 5yr old girl 🤔😁✌️❣️💎🇬🇧

Fuckin' KILLER!
Deaddario strings kd lang

Why would the Zombies need to do cover songs?
Hey RB, Hold Your Head Up was written by Chris White and Rod Argent.
@@ventues9751 I figured that was the situation... thank you
Your question has been answered below by others, but highlights the reality that so many people don't know the origins of some of the biggest tunes. People thinking that the Beatles' 'Twist & Shout' is a Lennon & McCartney tune or 'God Gave Rock 'n' Roll to You' is a KISS original (it was penned by Russ Ballard, who did it when with Argent) are amongst those getting it wrong. 'She's Not There' (which Santana covered) and 'Hold Your Head Up' are both Rod Argent compositions, the latter with former Zombies member and Argent producer Chris White, who also filled in on bass for a while when bassist Jim Rodford (seen above) died after a fall at home. 'Time of the Season' is another Rod Argent tune. Those of us who were around in the 60s also know who wrote the early Stones' hit 'I Wanna Be Your Man' - it was Lennon & McCartney. That was one of the first instances where we realised that the bands singing the songs didn't necessarily write them. BTW, the aforementioned Russ Ballard also penned 'Since You've Been Gone' and 'I Surrender' (Rainbow), 'Liar' and 'Chained' (Three Dog Night), 'You Can Do Magic' (America), 'New York Groove' (Ace Frehley), 'So You Win Again' (Hot Chocolate), plus tracks for Roger Daltry, both femme singers from ABBA... Without paying attention one never knows where these tunes are coming from.
They don't. These ARE the originals.
Sorry to be a Danny downer but this sucks. From head to toe......
Brilliant!!
Que lujo 💎
"Hold Your Head Up" Originally done by group, ARGENT. C-o-o-l.
Bass player looks 90, but he can play
Comment made by someone who isn't pursued by anybody.
Born 1941, Jim Rodford was a tremendous player. Sadly, he died as a result of a fall in his home back in 2018.
Played with The Kinks
