    I have been reading through some of the old clay magazines that I found online, I was amazed at how far back clay art has been around. I love these beautiful canes. Donna you are a fabulous teacher.

    So much easier than what I’ve been doing.
    PS. I actually went outside to see if we had a big dog in our yard. Lol. I couldn’t understand why my little yappers weren’t barking at a dog barking outside. Good thing I had my headphones on. 😂😅

    oh my god this method is amazing! yours is a bit abstract but if i had a say, pixel art image how much deformation would you get? is it minimal/none? I was thinking I would have to buy a circular punch and roll a cane to the desired diameter, and punch the same diameter out of the top/side, which would waste clay. i'm very keen on trying this though.I never thought to use a square cane. For reference, I want to make eyeballs, so having the front/back be the iris, i could just use white for the remaining 4 sides if this method works for me

    Hi, I’m
    Rewatching this. Dumb question: since the heat of you hands warms the clay, can you microwave it at all, a few seconds, to get the same result? Thank you.

    • @DonnaKatoArt
      @DonnaKatoArt  6 місяців тому

      I don’t do that and I wouldn’t advise. I think I have heard of some doing that but not me! 😊

      I fold mine in a heating pad sometimes. It works well. Just make sure it's on one of the lowest settings and check it every minute or two. It doesn't take very long.
