Dear Susan, Your Channel is Wonderful! I'm a wire wrapper but I love to learn all kind of crafts. I was watching the Play list about Canning and, for my surprise, it is not appearing in the play list. I hope it will be back soon because your way of explaining is absolutely perfect and the Tutorials are amazing! Have a Blessed day! Rachel from Connecticut! 😙
Hay Susan, i hope everything us good with you. I have not gotten any videos since the black out clay. If you are on vacation I hope you are enjoying yourself. Looking forward to seeing your next idea. Diana.
Donna and Vernon ( her husband who packs the boxes) are amazing! She also has written books- which are equally as awesome as her channel. All the major techniques are in there and from that you build upon them. Thanks for sharing Donna. ❤
I have been loving this stuff! I had a batch of scraps that would do nothing but turn puce. And I do t often need core clay so I used black out and now I have beautiful black clay. It’s amazing stuff!
Also great for those very old canes that are very hard to wake up. Just a little bid of black and I got all shades of blacks and in different tones. It’s just amazing!!!! And as per not finding clay, I am buying Cosclay!
I love Blackout 😍. I’m ready for Donna Kato to start making and selling scrap clay or gray colored clay. I’m constantly running out of scrap clay for projects!
Thank you for doing the experiments for us, especially how regular black added toclsy, compared to the Black Out added to a colour. Edited to add: bless Donna Kato for developing this product...it is so desperately needed right now!
Wow two videos in one week, what a treat. Thank you for all the product info and all your hard work. I would still love to see a video about your crafting story and see pieces you've made over the years from beginning to now.
Has anyone else noticed a lot of Susan’s videos are missing off of youtube?? I hope she’s okay! I’ve watched so many of her older videos over and over again just to enjoy listening to her in the background while I make stuff OR to watch her stuff and listen to her words of encouragement to get my ass moving to make stuff. And then to find her videos, my favourite ones, missing has me scared somethings happened to her.. Turtlesoupbeads is my all time favourite youtube creator.
No apologies needed for the sweet musical interludes. Abu's serenades are always a welcomed bonus. Both clay products are a necessity during the ongoing clay shortage. Donna Kato developed 2 much needed products that will enable many of us to utilize older clay, myself included. Thank you for such thorough demonstrations.
Agreed!! That puppy loves you so much,, he wants be by your side... precious snores just means he's happy & peaceful. I'm so excited and thankful for your experience and experiments!!
Love mixing my own colors too…just love your videos…you have been my inspiration for my entire clay journey since I retired and now doing crafts. 💕🌺🌺💕🎨🌿
I have watched or tried to watch others about making canes and all you do for making beads. I have to say you are the best! I have to speed the others up or skip it completely. You are so down to earth and I love that. Thanks for all you do! Love your snoring puppy. Lol!
Yes I noticed. I haven't been here for a bit so I wanted to see what I have missed. It looks like recent postings. I just looked at a video posted 4 hours ago and there were six videos back to this one. I know I missed out on a lot of 2022 up until today's videos.
Wow, I have to get my hands on some of that blackout clay!!! Because of the clay shortage I have to admit to using some Sculpey III, but I blend it with something stronger. It's been helpful in stretching out my Premo.
I got a good chuckle over you not being able to take the mixes to a full black. "I really, really like this colour". 😆 I like that you did a mix with black so we could see the difference. Thanks muchly for all the info.
Hi, Susan! Could you show us more of you working, maybe? Caning, creating, no need editing or planning just 10-20 minutes. I love your coments. Thank you!
Thanks for the valuable information, always appreciate the new products on the market. Thanks for u our time and energy for this video. Blessings Bobbie
I don't actually really know how, but I've been doing clay for several years and with all the tricks to use up cane ends and stuff like that, I've yet to end up with scrap clay in a colour I can't use. Maybe I'm just not mixing enough clay! 😂
I got mine a couple days ago. I love it! It has turned a lot of scrap clay into something a bit more usable. Thanks for your video; it gave me some ideas to make different shades of black.
Wahhhhhhhh!!!! 😭😱 Where have your playlists and majority of your videos gone? Is it only me that can't see them anymore. They are my go to for when i need inspiration or just to watch them as a relaxation go to when he pain is too bad to ignore. I hope they come back. 😭💖
What about that clamp you have on your pasta machine holding it in place, wow? I would love to hear about that set up. I dont think Ive ever noticed you showing your pasta machine in your videos.
I'd like trying white and pink clays with the black out in different percentages. Mmmm the possibilities are endless, like purple, white and black out. All my favorite colors in different degrees of values of shades, terrific!
Love the way you help people! ❤ Great tips and tricks, I'm a black and white type of yal, with lots of bright colors. Love your "fur baby". Anita in Texas
Negative space probably an great application making a 3 demential to a 2 demential I know sounds crazy but it is really cool many black out paint videos sure could use in a teardrop bead pendant.
I love the concept... Which is why I thought of it a long time ago, I couldn't understand why there wasn't a product to make scrap clay black... I figured that if the scrap was dark enough you could blend it into black clay and not dilute the color of the black too much and so extend the black.
Susan thank you. I love your videos I am your big fan. But I have a question to ask. Are you deleting your old videos? I cannot see the oldest one which I watched before.
Hope it try my hand at clay jewelry. I do beading right now. I brought a small pasta machine at a thrift shop in hope to try my hand it. Thanks for all you info.
This is marvelous! Now with the clay shortage, I can get the tints I want with less work. And now when I find a discontinued color at an art store on reduce, I fell confident to purchase it because now I can condition it!
Thank you. The Blackout is great. I cannot wait to try it. For conditioning, I either use Cernit Magic Mix or Sculpey has a softener that is in bar shape. At the same time I am ordering the Blackout, I may as well the conditioner and give it a whirl. Thank you again for the demonstration video!
Wonderful to see you again Susan! Kato has such a variety of products, in my area it's like gold, hard to find. We almost need to sleep overnight at Micheal's door to get some. LOL Prices have gone up too. Love all your videos. Thank you and take care.
Thanks for the video. I ordered a bar of blackout along with some other Kato clay from Donna's site this week. I didn't get the conditioning bar but got some magenta and yellow clay. I can't hardly wait for the blackout. I thought that was the greatest idea ever!
II have very old clay. I break it up with my hands, put it in a plastic bag I can seal and add baby oil. I let it sit and then knead it in the bag. I do that until it softens. I take it out of the bag and condition it as I would normally. I’ve heard you can use mineral oil also.
Just want to say thanks for bringing this to my attention. I managed to find a UK supplier (ClayAround), and ordered the blackout and the conditioner. I've not used the blackout yet because I don't have any scraps right now (used them up as bead cores), but that conditioner is amazing. I've managed to rescue an entire 1lb/454g block of FIMO black that was so crumbly I thought I was going to have to bin and replace it.
Susan that will be so good for the colors you don’t like! I know you make all your own colors. The blackout is definitely made for scrap clay. Im excited to get some. I always look at your videos to get more ideas on how to use my scrap clay. Oh I watched Donna the other day and she was showing all her new products. Some aren’t out, I’m sure you saw it and know that. But I was so impressed with her demonstration. I also want to tell you I wouldn’t be doing nor would I have come this far without you as one of my mentors I adopted on my own, lol. I made something for you and I’m not sure how to get it to you! It’s just a gift to say thank you for being so amazing. I appreciate all you do in your videos. Everything from beginning to end. I get settled in when you post a new video ❣️
Thank you for this tutorial Susan. I have seen the blackout and wondered how it would work. Ilove use a lot of black clay and turning my ugly scraps black will be a real money saver!
this has got to be the best thing to happen to polymer clay since glitter... I love love love this I just ordered 2 blocks. now they should make it for most colors course white may not work. however I know that lots of used clay can be turned into a color but with that think of the savings. I'm excited how bout you!!! oh dunno if it is okay but blueberry beads has it on sale for 11 bucks n some change for a block. and then shipping I still saved over ten bucks. just saying.
Thank you Susan ! You are such an inspiration to me since I began 2 years ago. I've learnt soooo much with you and continue to learn... Have à Nice Day ☺️
Definitely would buy this stuff seeing how well it works!!! I have SO much very old clay.....it's all sculpey111....at the time I bought it I really thought it would be used quickly but that didn't happen. I've always wondered what the best way would be to wake it all up.....it's horribly crumbly....thought I had lost a ton of money! Now I know what will work!!! TY Susan!!!
Very helpful, Susan. Great review. A long time ago, maybe 90's or early 2000, there was a icky black tar like stuff to turn clay black. It was a mess!! I look forward to getting this myself. I love Kato products.
I'm quite new to your videos and I absolutely love them. I'm in Portsmouth UK. You sound so much like Jamie Lee Curtis!!! Thank you for your superb tutorials, you explain things in so much detail which really helps me. I have bought lots of Fimo clay and can't wait to get started. I worry about baking times, but of course it does tell you on the packs, and I guess it's trial and error when you first start out. I really love your jewellery, it is so beautiful. Have a great weekend. xx
TY for everything! Love watching you ❤ So talented and so inspirational. You got me started on polymer clay and I became quickly addicted. But also found out I'm pretty good at it. So Thank you 😊
Thank you for testing and explaining these interesting products !!! As the black-out was also staining hands etc., I'm wondering if the clay would still stain after baking.
I use premo and kato clay but what i found odd was everytime i mix my scrap clays the resulting color (or absence of color 😂) is black! Granted it's not as saturated as that kato black but it's still black. Nevertheless i hope i can find some of that stuff cuz it would be awesome for tinting! So glad you made this video-thanks!👍✌️
Hey Susan, I was wondering what happened to your playlists. I was watching the bead one the other day, and the next day they all disappeared. I don't see them on any of my platforms, so I think it’s on UA-cam end. Hope you didn't get hacked.
What an amazing product, that black out is! And the conditioning block, clever! Love the new colour on your nails 💅 also, I've never seen a motor on a pasta machine before 😱
Donna has her own yt channel here’s the link

I'm now planning all black designs just using different colour's I've tinted. Especially since the blackout is great for conditioning crumbly clays.
Wow two videos in one week, what a treat. Thank you for all the product info and all your hard work. I would still love to see a video about your crafting story and see pieces you've made over the years from beginning to now.
Thank you for doing this demo. These two products are going to be a game changer as this clay shortage drags on and on.
I LOVE this idea! Leave it to Donna🥰

Thanks for blackout review & recommendation for a good liquid clay product, I ordered both!
Thanks so much for the new black out & conditioning clay. I have some older clay that this would work awesome on. Thanks again ❤️

Thanks, would be interesting to know if the conditioning clay affects the translucency of translucent clay.
It shouldn’t because it’s really translucent but wish I had thought of that while I was filming to try
@@TurtleSoupBeads No worries, I'll just have to try it out for myself and see, I find Premo transluscent is often very crumbly.
