Your presentation and photography are beyond compare. The Travato seems so large, I think you could turn it into a duplex . Thank you Scott. Do your windows ever leak? If so, how did you fix it?
Thanks for the compliments Rag Top. Yeah, in the last few months have had issues on windows and roof leaks. Have videos coming up about those two issues. Have you experienced leaks?
@@gosmall.livelarge Yes I have leaks on 4 of my 6 acrylic windows.. On my T, water is leaking in around the lever closures and following a tiny groove in the black rubber. There are 2 levels of tightness that the levers can be placed in and a small ridge separating the two. I put my lever on the higher ridge and it stopped the leak except for one window. I cut long narrow strips of chamois cloth to lay in the lower window sill to check and absorb the water. The windows on my T seem to need to be pulled in tighter. My T is new and the dealer is prepared to remove and reinstall the windows after this coronavirus is over. Thank you and please be safe!

My experience was more from the exterior caulk/sealant material getting brittle and maybe a little wave-type "bend" in the sheet metal where the van was cut to have the window installed. Scott, my man as you know the Travato GL model was very high on my list primary for the Pure3 Energy System. However, I am looking to plan to purchase a used Pleasure Way Lexor FL instead. However, I have always and will continue to be a FAN of you and your travels. I consider you one of pioneers of van travel and hope to meet you some day. I am still in the north Florida area and need to deal with my father's estate and Trust. I am from six months to one year away. Journey On!
Excited for you to get your Lexor FL. That is indeed a fine rig. I'm hoping to have a southern FL channel meet up in early May, depending on how things evolve. Much appreciate your kind comments. Journey ON !!
@@gosmall.livelarge Very good and even though I might take delivery in late May or early June, I might store it away until end of September and pick it up in October and drive back to north Florida, Tallahassee area then. I might place my home on the market and will move into the van in October as it is too damn hot here June-September. We will see.
Great tour Scott, I have watched your channel for a long time. In January I purchased a 2019 Travato GL, have only been able to travel a few times but love it!!! Thank you for providing awesome research, great information and entertainment! Stay safe during these crazy times!!!! 😷
I have for the past three years researched, watched UA-cam videos talked with dealers and test drove several class C & B RVs. Thor, Jayco, Fleetwood, Pleasure-Way, Airstream, just to name a few. Like you, I had determined I did not want to deal with diesel. After test driving several class C RVs I decided that I wanted a rig that was small and could take anywhere. Talking with my dealer, test driving the Travato and watching your channel helped me decide on the GL.
Scott - great video. You may want to consider Falken Wildpeak AT-3 next time you need a new tire. They have the aggressive look that you like but they are very quiet on the road. I ran them on my 4runner and can't sing their praises enough.
Great idea. Have not done a video on that. I use the Jensen for Bluetooth audio occasionally and for occasionally watching a DVD movie. Adding that to the video list.
Scott you say you added oils to your rig. I thought you said it’s only a year old at the time of the video, I can see adding oil on a 10 year old van but not a one year old Van. Keep it going change that oil. Thanks Houli.
Hi Scott! I am watching this video for the second (third?) time. I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a 2021 Natl Parks Lmtd Edition Travato - but what has changed is the layout. I love love love the huge fridge and freezer in the GL - being an organic vegan and a foodie, it can be a challenge finding food..But I have to be totally realistic here; i just turned 69. and I decided to adopt a rescue pup who I hoped would be 40 lbs max and he passed that weight a while ago. Anywho, putting down (& lifting up) that Murphy bed after a long day could be a challenge. And then there is my dog Timmy. . . I like the two long bench seats that can be twin beds or one big bed. And honestly, what broughr it home for me is the fold-up sink in the shower! Oh baby! That makes Mommy happy!! You must have gotten a bit tired of me mentioning my unhappiness with the sink in the shower on EVERY one of your Travato video's I watched. Your videos really sold me on the Travato, Scott. After an interesting few years (it will all be in the book . . .), my dream of traveling the USA (& Canada) is taking shape. I am very excited and a teeny bit nervous but I know I will be very happy with the Travato. After all the weirdness ends from whatever "this" is, now in April 12, 2020 - I will go exploring. I hope our paths cross, Scott. I wish you many Happy Trails on your journey. Thank you for all the excellent info. I appreciate all your hard work.
Hi Donna Very excited for you to move another step towards your goal!! To my knowledge the K and L floor plans are the same for the 2021 with tweaks to systems and accessories. You will want to verify with your Dealers.
great video and love your marina towers vase that you bought in arizona, what a treasure and a great find. Keep up the great work really learn alot from each of your videos
Good morning Scott, I saw on the video cleaning on using ICE to clean black tank. On the back doors you have a bike I though I saw steel chain links is that the best to use. I have seen on RV channels that many people have there very expensive e bikes stolen. I know some people use cable and those cables can be cut with simple small cutters. Where do you recommend buying what you have. Including the type of lock. Thank you.
I'm working through most of your videos - really impressive and educational! Have you done a video on the propane system - especially how long a full tank lasts for heat in cold weather?
Thanks for the detailed, even intimate, tour. Exterior: So you paid extra for the paint job, then wrapped it? Also seems like the solar is a waste of money and roof space with Volta (your garden hose - swimming pool analogy). Interior: Glad you love it, but I'd go with the Kevin's K floorplan with the ability to stretch out in the bed like a chaise lounge. Can you do that?
Didn’t know about wrapping when I bought the rig. Wouldn’t pay for Deluxe again knowing I would wrap. YES on the chaise lounge I use the front Great Room to make a twin lounge with cushion arrangement and pillow. If I really get into I convert dinette to front bedroom. Floor plan is so important to daily use right!?
@@gosmall.livelarge We live and learn. Watching you has been enlightening. I have been enamored with the Revel. I travel with a slide in truck camper now. But hearing about you spending 10 days in a hotel and other issues while I'm able to keep separate RV and vehicle issues and being able to drop the camper at will made me realize I have the advantage of having a separable pair along with the go anywhere maneuverability of a compact single unit. You convinced me to stay with I have. Thanks for saving me $150K.
Thanks for the tour. I prefer the G layout to the K layout as well...bigger bed and fridge. Additionally like you mentioned, you are not sitting and eating on your bed. I have been looking into Class B RV's for my retirement to travel across the US and Canada. I am curious about insurance costs for a rig like this one. Can you share any insight? Thanks!
Hey Scott!! Great video! Did you do anything different to the back where you put your cord? Back door passenger side. You forgot that, lol! You got me sold on the Travato GL!! One day I will get one! Have you seen the new litchen's 2020.5 travato updates? I love that they add the mod's people do!! I had a self converted sprinter I did mostly myself....never again! While sprinter's are a work horse they are expensive to maintain. I also had the 170 extended so parking was an issue sometimes. They should do a Travato giveaway for us hard working nurses during this corona crisis ;) Scott put a word in to Winnebago!
Deb!! Thanks for taking care of us needing doctors and nurses and such during this situation. Love your giveaway idea! As for the cord near the rear doors, it is an extension cord that runs across the floor into the bottom storage area to power my second Apple HomePod. I used stick-down cord hider to cover the cord. Hope that helps
@@gosmall.livelarge thanks for the response! I mean that cubby area you hang your power cord, in front of the rear passenger door. I never noticed the other cord but now I'll be looking. Yes, a nurse giveaway would be awesome!! Stay safe!
Awesome video Scott could you talk a little about when you purchase the your van. Maybe some tips or advise you used at the dealership. Thanks Dave 🚎🇺🇸😎
I just bought my 59g and pick it up on Wednesday! I’m so excited! So white cabinets show everything and camping can get dirty. Do you do yoga inside? The mat fits in the hallway right? Yay!
SOOO Excited for you. How is it going so far with your 59G? Does your Travato have a name? Yoga mat mostly fits on the floor for simple routines. Otherwise I take it outside.
So what’s just inside your back door? Back at the end of the bathroom? Thank you for the video. Some great tips. I wouldn’t have thought about the window upgrades.
Hi KH.. Need to take a close look at the awning style windows. Game changer. I have an extension cord and cord hidden at the back fo the van for my HomePod that sits on the little shelf across from the bathroom. Assuming that is what your talking about? Please join the free channel two-way teleconference Thu-23-Apr at 7 PM Central to ask more questions! Details on my website, GoSmallLiveLarge.com
I just bought a Travato GL and became a FT RV’r. Your place is so neat. I have too much stuff. What did you do with the cushion that takes up all the space in the wardrobe? Did you add a shelf? What about the cushion that was in front storage area above the cab?
Congrats on your Travato GL. Whooohoooo ;) I hang clothes in the wardrobe. One puzzle bed cushion is used as the backrest for the jump seat (sliding door). the second cushion is stored over cab for use in the puzzle bed. I use it when Kyle joins me and I make a "twin" sized bed with it and do not collapse the dinette.
Scott, Thanks so much for sharing your rig and 1st year of full time with us! If, you could redesign the rig, what major improvements would you make and why?
Floor plan is perfect for those wanting a "multi-room" experience and wanting to live in their bedroom, G vs K floor plan. Lighter color scheme. Skylights instead of color panel. Transformer bathroom. Larger 3-drawer style galley cabinet. Check out my tour of some European RVs and you'll see what I mean, ua-cam.com/video/vf0_5bGl4GE/v-deo.html Good questions that deserve a video perhaps!
You win, for best van review, well done 👍👍🇨🇦 What about the front windows at night? How is your gas milage for in town, ours is high 12 to 14 and thats empty with a light foot. Just love how you showed living in your van. Looking forward to starting our own van adventure once all the crazy is over 😊
Congrats on starting your own on the road adventure! yeah, I missed the from window blind system that is in my rig. An option that you should really consider. Shade deploys in about 30 seconds. Side windows have covers too. I rarely use them except in an RV park! MPG is 12ish in city, 15-18 on highway thx for watching!
hello, love your videos and your vehicle. hey roughly how many days can you go with your black water tank size? if you have to use it and don't have other options for restroom use. I would be traveling alone and hoping it could stretch out for a week?
Hi Jay. General I can get about 5 days on a single black tank when using my toilet nearly all the time. If you are using facilities elsewhere that can be extended.
Great job on the tour...just wondering if you find the tv too high for comfortable viewing? You mentioned you replaced the ceiling fan...is it also a max air brand?
Not a TV watcher so I use the TV for rolling artwork with the Apple TV screen saver. When I do use it I sit and lean back on the jump seat at which point the view angel is okay, but a little high. I actually you my 12.9 iPad for watching content in Travato bed
@@gosmall.livelarge So if you didn't have the lithium battery, would you have been pretty much able to do the same things you are doing now with the solar panels and generator? I know the lithium battery is awesome, and you're thinking of taking off the solar panels to make room for storage up top, but could you have been ok with the 59G? I'm in negotiations now for a 59G

One still needs to occasionally clean the show drain pump filter under the galley cabinet. I use cheese cloth as a first filter. I did a video on that, ua-cam.com/video/HCBqDufnuDc/v-deo.html
Great Frank, I did love my Travato same model as in video just with the FAILED propane fridge-Winnebago has since terminated the propane fridges in the entire line up FINALLY! The hymer is very nice to, did you get the cassette toilet or black tank etc?
Does the seats in the front make into a bed as you had commented that the bed in the back might be uncomfortable for people who move around a lot when they sleep
Yeah, Toni... I'm with you on thinking the blacked out fenders looking better. I had the partial wrap job completed by a company in Spokane WA, NW Solar Protection. Ken (?) and his team did a great job. Check out their wrap pics on their website... www.nwspspokane.com
@@gosmall.livelarge Oh okay, that's interesting. I'm learning along the way here. I actually thought a macerator was specifically to deal with human waste. Having it on the gray water didn't make sense to me, but they must have their reasons for that. Thanks for the reply and information
Yeah, water systems can be confusing. I have a water video coming up, but simply put... the City Fill is connecting a hose to the rig and running of city water pressure to deliver water to faucets and toilets. Tank fill simply fills the fresh water tank to capacity and then you remove the hose. I run off Tank Fill all the time because I don't have flow through waste tanks.
@@gosmall.livelarge Thanks. Looking forward to your water video. I've heard of others who also never use city water. I'm a wannabe and love all your videos. Looking to get in a GL later this year. Have you commented on the RAM shifter cable recall?
Scott, your vid’s are awesome! Keep up the great work! We love this rig, and it has made it to the top of our list for our new van. That is mainly because of the small size and the function. Since we won’t be full time like you, and we will be using it as our second car so it needs to be easy to drive/park, flexible and reliable. Also, we will use it primarily to travel/roadtrip vs camp, so the lithium and the reliability you have shared with us makes this so flexible to road trip around these great States!!!! Question: my biggest concern is that we may be going too small, since it will be my hubby and I, our 9 year old, and two dogs (70 lbs each). We plan to use it for long weekends, and week long trips throughout the year. Do you think all of us could enjoy the van without it being too small? Heck, if I can’t answer this question after 1.5 years of research and RV shows, I don’t know why I am asking you, but I know your thought process is so logical and I would love your two cents. We can’t wait!!!!!!! Just FYI....currently we use a CRV, tent/sometimes cabin, car rack when we road trip, so we are pretty simple.
Dianna, this might sound really “out there” but I saw a video about a couple with a teenager preparing to travel in a G. They were using the garage space for their son’s bed!! A nine-year-old might think that little cubby is pretty neat🙂
Mary Beth ahhhh.....that is brilliant! I already ran it by her and she said, “yes!” As she gets older, we will have to get more creative, but we will cross that bridge when we get there. I just want to get on the road and create new memories. We have been looking at the Travato for years while looking at other Class B’s and we keep coming back to the Travato based on our needs. Do you have a Travato, too? I love his detailed video’s. 😀
@@diannad8905 Yes, I got my 59G (not L for my needs) last spring. I have loved every minute in it. Class B is the way to go - so nimble. Scott's videos helped me make up my mind. I am a loyal follower! Good luck to you and have fun!
Do I have the best audience of what?! Love how you all engage each other. Mary Beth gives solid advice. I add to that by you and your husband "test drive" each floor plan by spending at least an hour in each K and L floor plan. pretend to "live' in the floor plan... use the dinette, spin the cab seats around, pass through the galley at the same time, use the Murphy bed, pretend use the bathroom,. make up the front lounge into the bed., visualize making a meal, pretending setup and take down "camp... seioiulsy really spend time living in the floor plan. Then add the dogs. If you are all okay being in close proximity and expect to live outside the van, as in don't stay cramped up inside of it all the time. Personally I think the G floor plan is more flexible and does'nt' feel like you are living in your bedroom. You need to determine what makes you the most comfortable. Class B gives you the most flexibility, but there is the trade off of small space. Thx for your question!
Very lovely Home Scott. I have a similar ProMaster cargo van. I will start myVan build very soon. It's always an inspiration to see how myHome could possibly look. Thankhz so much for sharing. Wholeness n Essence of Love ((-;
Might have something to do with the Volta system, but don't have an exact answer for you ML. I'm preferring to cook over gas, but that is all I know (for now). Thx for the question.
Definitely can open the bathroom door with the bed down. That is why there is that angle cut in the bed frame and mattress, to allow entrance to the bath. Great observation.
Nice video Scott I have always been concerned that someone can possibly contaminate your water supply through the water inlet. Do you think it’s reasonable to somehow place a lock on the water inlet. Also do you think it is advisable to have a spare tire
Thanks KJ. Water, have thought about it, but haven't worried about it. Same about spare tire. If and when I need tire help I learn how to use the "tire inflate kit" that came with the rig or call Roadside Assistance.. either way it will make an interesting video! Are either of those situations deal-killers for you?
It wouldn’t be hard or expensive to mount a motion sensing camera on top of the vehicle which would detect any activity around the fills. Most models will text you immediately if there’s anything detected. I have one inside my rig and will eventually mount one on the outside. Extremely accurate and reliable.
Stephen Otto we are looking into this currently and would like any insight you may have. Thought we would have to have several for each side of rig, thoughts?
Not long... guessing it takes 3-4 gallons for a shower. at 18 gallons of fresh water, you’ll have to do the math.. Wipes, no showers, or alternative facilities is the way to good to extend fresh water capacity. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Hi Betty. Thanks for your questions. Roof rack came with my Travato. The tire I have listed in my RV resource guide free on my website. gosmalllivelarge.com/free-downloads
@@sunnybrown987 , apologies as I thought I answered this for you already. I have a tiny printer that printer Polaroid style photos. It is about the size of my iPhone and an inch tall. It is not a document printer. I store it in the cubby above the dinette table. When I need to print docs I seek out a FedEx Office store. Hope that helps;
Great question. Will have to look. I have added that to my video queue. Please join the free channel two-way teleconference Thu-23-Apr at 7 PM Central to ask more questions! Details on my website, GoSmallLiveLarge.com
Reduction in noise. Bluetooth module allows control from mobile device (phone). Auto mode which turns fan and compressed off, reducing the draw on the Volta lithium-ion energy pack. Additional vents to cool the G bedroom.
some rattles, but nothing overly annoying. Window shade on patio door mostly. I gained a rattle or two after my 45 mile punishing mountain road drive to the ID ghost town!
IMO, That would not be a good environment for a GL. Volta Pure3 would not operate charge discharge, waste tanks at risk, and not sure the cabin could be heated that comfortably. Maybe for an overnight, but I would not subject my rig to that extreme weather. Same goes this heat. why put you and the rig through those extremes?
Careful there, Scott. You might inspire a new reality show: "RV Drag Race" Wednesday nights on ESPN. Next week, a stock 2020 Travato 59G versus a stock 2020 Pleasure Way Plateau FL. Who has the horsepower to take the coveted Black Tank Flush trophy? Tune in to find out! It's bound to be a photo finish.
Hi Randy. When I am at home base for more than a few days I plugged into shore power. When on the road, if I‘my staying at an Audience Angel driveway or street I typically do not plug-in, relying instead on my Volta Pure3 lithium-ion energy system. Thx for commenting!
Got so tickled watching you measure a space!! LOL Haven't seen you measure anything for a long time! I never get bored watching your videos!! Sorry you're "housebound" and not able to travel. Hopefully it won't be long!!! Happy Easter!!!
On the G, I push the jump seat by the door forward until I see the water tank. There is an opening with a black cap. Take that black cap off. (It’s tight and I need a pliers.). Use a funnel to pour the water in. You’ll be able to see when the water is getting close to the top and/or check the tank level readout on the wall to know if it is full. I hope this helps!
From my experience, no, but haven't really tried either. The GL model has the inverter in the jump seat cabinet. That means the method Mary Beth speaks of isn't possible with the GL. TOWB Facebook group mentions a siphon hose that can inject water. For extra water I simply place 3 1-gallon water jugs on the floor at the back door and use those as primary saving the on-board fresh water for toilet and sinks. Using the gallon jugs for drinking and coffee. Those jugs can be easily filled nearly anywhere
I know I'm a total pain, but PLEASE reassure me that you recycle your plastic cups and paper cutlery? Lol. It just seems wrong to pollute as we go😔 Love your Lily💖

Great tour Scott, I have watched your channel for a long time. In January I purchased a 2019 Travato GL, have only been able to travel a few times but love it!!! Thank you for providing awesome research, great information and entertainment! Stay safe during these crazy times!!!! 😷
WOW! Congrats ont he Travato GL. Curious what other rigs you looked and how you pulled the trigger on the GL..

Will check them out. Appreciate the tip, and your kind comment
They should make the kitchen window a slide. Happy Easter Scott.
Great video. Have you done a video with the Jensen stereo? I would like to see how to play the TV sound through the stereo .
Great idea. Have not done a video on that. I use the Jensen for Bluetooth audio occasionally and for occasionally watching a DVD movie. Adding that to the video list.
Great video your of your rig Scott 👍. Until we can travel on road again. Stay healthy and safe.
Ty Ron :)
You just made my mind up!
So exciting for you! I just passed 3 years of ownership. Watch for that video soon
Scott you say you added oils to your rig. I thought you said it’s only a year old at the time of the video,
I can see adding oil on a 10 year old van but not a one year old Van.
Keep it going change that oil.
Thanks Houli.
Not adding oil at all. Instead I have the oil changed regularly.
HAHA! TRAMP STAMPS!! That’s hilarious! Great review! Sharp looking RV! I really like what you did with the exterior 👍
Glad you enjoyed it. thanks for watching and commenting.
After an interesting few years (it will all be in
the book . . .), my dream of traveling the USA (& Canada) is taking shape.
Congratulations on your first year
love that you did with your rig

Thank you Dave. Appreciate that.
Your welcome
Good morning Scott, I saw on the video cleaning on using ICE to clean black tank.
On the back doors you have a bike I though I saw steel chain links is that the best to use.
I have seen on RV channels that many people have there very expensive e bikes stolen.
I know some people use cable and those cables can be cut with simple small cutters.
Where do you recommend buying what you have. Including the type of lock.
Thank you.
For bike lock I am using Kryptonite chain link-style lock. Better than the cable-style I had previously
I'm working through most of your videos - really impressive and educational! Have you done a video on the propane system - especially how long a full tank lasts for heat in cold weather?
Glad The videos are helping. Have not done A video On propane specifically Good idea. Thx for commenting
Awesome review.. Thank you..
Glad you liked it!
Thank You! Namaste!
Thanks!
Hi John. With you on the 59G. Insurance for me full-time is about $1300 for 12 months through Progressive. Great coverage too.
That driveway is sweet 🙂
LOL.. it is a sweet driveway, just a little steep.

Just did a video about changes I would make the next time I buy a RV. Hopefylly you saw that one?

@@gosmall.livelarge I think it might be something decorative like a deer head.
The cocktail bar ❤️
Truth!
Nice tour! I like how you decorated your G! I’m going to think about removing the mesh bags under my G bed.
Yeah, having that bag gone was one of the best "mods" I did for my brain and the look.
Check out my tour of some European RVs and you'll see what I mean, ua-cam.com/video/vf0_5bGl4GE/v-deo.html

How sensitive is the awning wind rewind. I want to sit outside during a rain 🙂
I leave the patio door open with the awning out a little bit to keep rain out. Awning just sensitive enough to auto-retract in the breeze
Will the TV stay in place in multiple positions when you unlock it? Great video?
Yes indeed firm look so it doesn't move during Travel:
Great job on the tour...just wondering if you find the tv too high for comfortable viewing? You mentioned you replaced the ceiling fan...is it also a max air brand?
Not a TV watcher so I use the TV for rolling artwork with the Apple TV screen saver. When I do use it I sit and lean back on the jump seat at which point the view angel is okay, but a little high. I actually you my 12.9 iPad for watching content in Travato bed
SUPER SUPER SUPER GREAT VIDEO!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! Is the only difference between the 59G and 59GL, the lithium battery?
Yes, the difference is the Volta lithium-ion system and reduced tank sizes.,
@@gosmall.livelarge Thank you 😊
@@gosmall.livelarge So if you didn't have the lithium battery, would you have been pretty much able to do the same things you are doing now with the solar panels and generator? @@gosmall.livelarge I put in an offer for a 2020 Travato 59 for $85000, list price is $125,221, so far I've got them down to $93,000, I will get them to come more :). Your thoughts?
Where did you buy the updated shower drain filter? Do you still have to clean the filter under the sink?
One still needs to occasionally clean the show drain pump filter under the galley cabinet. I use cheese cloth as a first filter. I did a video on that, ua-cam.com/video/HCBqDufnuDc/v-deo.html
Hey Scott...When using your Carefree awning in the rain, do you have the problem of it retracting back closed? Mine is extremely sensitive.
Howdy. No problems with mine. I spray lubricant on it about every 6 weeks depending on use. Thanks for sharing.
Nice tour and van. I'm picking up my 2019 Hymer next week. I just liked it better then the Travato.
Wow! So excited for you Frank. Thrilled you are achieving your RV dreams.. You will have to share your thoughts once you're on the road.
Yes! The front dinette converts to a second 4’x6’ bed.
What kind of hooks do you sue Scott
Great video! One question? Did you have any issues with roof items being improperly sealed causing leaks?
Did have the seal around the max air fan go bad, twice. Need to keep an eye on those.
Scott, where did you get the bumpers covered? I have the painted upgrade but like your look better!
Yeah, Toni... I'm with you on thinking the blacked out fenders looking better. I had the partial wrap job completed by a company in Spokane WA, NW Solar Protection. Ken (?) and his team did a great job. Check out their wrap pics on their website... www.nwspspokane.com
If there is a macerator, why do you need a regular size sewage hose? A different channel said the Trivato was gravity only.
Macerator on my GL is for grey water as it is not gravity exit. Black tank is gravity exit.
@@gosmall.livelarge Oh okay, that's interesting. I'm learning along the way here. I actually thought a macerator was specifically to deal with human waste. Having it on the gray water didn't make sense to me, but they must have their reasons for that. Thanks for the reply and information
Can you please go over the city water a bit more? I'm confused at when one would use that connection.
Does that sliding bathroom door make much rattling noise when you are driving?
Maybe a little noise, MS. but nothing that I even notice any longer. Great question
I was wondering if that metal door on the bathroom rattles as you are driving? Either open or closed.
I little bit on the rattle, but really don't notice it. I'm really glad to have that style door as it is functional and decorative!
Just bought a travato 59g
Welcome to the Travato Tribe!

Where do you put your towel to keep it dry while you shower?
Towel rests on the top of the galley just outside bathroom to grab when done with the shower
I am curious as to why Winnebago gives the GL a 3600 watt inverter but no induction cooktop?
Might have something to do with the Volta system, but don't have an exact answer for you ML. I'm preferring to cook over gas, but that is all I know (for now). Thx for the question.
can you open the bathroom door when the murphy bed is down?
Definitely can open the bathroom door with the bed down. That is why there is that angle cut in the bed frame and mattress, to allow entrance to the bath. Great observation.
Nice video Scott
I have always been concerned that someone can possibly contaminate your water supply through the water inlet.
How long does your water last if you take military showers every day?
Not long... guessing it takes 3-4 gallons for a shower. at 18 gallons of fresh water, you’ll have to do the math.. Wipes, no showers, or alternative facilities is the way to good to extend fresh water capacity. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Any plans to head up to Alaska?

Why did you replace your roof A/C unit?
Reduction in noise.
Bluetooth module allows control from mobile device (phone).
Auto mode which turns fan and compressed off, reducing the draw on the Volta lithium-ion energy pack.
Additional vents to cool the G bedroom.
Someone said the Travato rattles on the road. Is that your experience?
some rattles, but nothing overly annoying. Window shade on patio door mostly. I gained a rattle or two after my 45 mile punishing mountain road drive to the ID ghost town!
@@gosmall.livelarge Ok Thanks for taking the time to reply.
Does the Travato have cruise control? Thanks
Yes, the Ram comes with cruise control. Though I find I rarely use it LOL
how long can this GL model stay in winter climates? -10F?
IMO, That would not be a good environment for a GL. Volta Pure3 would not operate charge discharge, waste tanks at risk, and not sure the cabin could be heated that comfortably. Maybe for an overnight, but I would not subject my rig to that extreme weather. Same goes this heat. why put you and the rig through those extremes?
Careful there, Scott. You might inspire a new reality show: "RV Drag Race" Wednesday nights on ESPN. Next week, a stock 2020 Travato 59G versus a stock 2020 Pleasure Way Plateau FL. Hi Matt. Dirty laundry... stores in my over-bed cabinet until the laundry bag is full and then to the Laundromat we go :)
What type of gas mileage do you get?
12ish in the city. 15-18 on the highway. Not bad for dragging 8500 pounds of house around with you right?!
If you live in that who's house is that you are plugged into
Hi Randy. When I am at home base for more than a few days I plugged into shore power. When on the road, if I‘my staying at an Audience Angel driveway or street I typically do not plug-in, relying instead on my Volta Pure3 lithium-ion energy system. Thx for commenting!

Hi Gretchen. A gamble is a stabilizing device that a camera uses to prevent that annoying bounce when walking with the camera.
Got so tickled watching you measure a space!! LOL Haven't seen you measure anything for a long time! I never get bored watching your videos!! Sorry you're "housebound" and not able to travel. Hopefully it won't be long!!! Happy Easter!!!
Oh thank you!
Can you gravity pour water into the fresh water storage tank from carry jug without city pressure? Thanks
On the G you can. I do it all the time. Not sure if the configuration is different in the GL.
@@marybeth488 Were/how do you add the bottled water to the fresh water tank on your G?
