In this episode we’ve got the incredible up-and-coming mountain bike playground that is @howlerbikepark , located in southwest Missouri. If Howler sounds familiar, it’s because this special spot hosted our 2024 eMTB Shootout, providing a purposeful testing ground that was extremely fun to lap endlessly, even in the less-than-ideal weather conditions we were presented with last Spring. Not only did Howler provide the good times on the bike, but the awesome basecamp and comfortable accommodation offered us everything we needed to stay entertained, fed and well rested as we logged the hours testing and shooting for our biggest project of the year. And that’s no easy task.
We couldn’t be more appreciative of the support that Pivot Cycles and ABUS helmets and bike locks gave us this year to support the production of the latest season of our eMTB Destinations Tour series. It’s not just the excellent equipment they provide, but the contribution to our travel costs and keeping us fed and fueled up as we burn countless calories and gas exploring the country in search of awesome trails and people. Without them, this style of series wouldn’t be possible, and we think that would be a great shame. This year we continued to enjoy the performance of the Pivot Shuttle LT (170mm front and rear) thanks to their versatile nature. Abus have kept us feeling safe with their excellent helmets, while their high-quality locks protected our bikes as we ate way too much roadside BBQ.

I also want to add, the people at howler are super friendly to youth programs, the enduro team I’m on (Wheels Up Enduro) has a skills clinic there every year, and they are super friendly and helpful to us!

The Penny’s are the best. Max is a G. Stayed there a couple times and always felt so welcomed. Haven’t been out there in a hot minute buts it’s 4hours away. Hopeful to make to the rampage watch party if they have it again this year!! Shout out to the trail and shuttle boys!

It’s worth it I was there Saturday and it was a lot of fun. Kinda far drive. It’s a 3 hour and 30 minute drive for me.

Visiting Branson MO area a few years ago with family, I remember thinking ‘There is so much potential here!’. At our AB&B I did a 8 foot step down in dress clothes that was just there! Haha good times riding Rando sketch
Even on Howler's relatively small plot, there's still a huge amount of potential. We're excited to see how they continue to grow!

Thanks for the clarification on e-bike use. I hadn't looked further into it but Trailforks shows it not allowing e-bikes.
We'll have to get them to try and change that. They definitely welcome bikes of all kinds to come and enjoy the trails!
