The fight itself will always be my favorite fight between both movies...however the best part of this clip? "Where was Johnny cage that whole time?" 😂😂😂
lol at the end of the video 3:56 "Where's Johnny Cage for that entire fight?" This fight was actually a reshoot added to the movie VERY shortly before it was released, since the original cut was said to be lacking in the action department. So because this was a reshoot, that's why Johnny was nowhere to be found. The actor who played him was probably off doing another movie by that time, so they said screw it. No one will even notice he's not there lol Scorpion vs Johnny was a reshoot too, which is why they magically appear alone in the woods without and rhyme or reason to why the hell they are there and why they are fighting lol
I heard about the Reptile reshoot, but I never heard about the Scorpion one. It makes me wonder what the heck the original cut was like without these two key fights.
@@AyumuNarumi75 yeah it actually surprised me that the Scorpion/Cage fight and this were both reahoots, because to me they are the best 2 fights in the entire film.

everything that came after this MK movie makes me appreciate how good the original was from the music to the coreograph and characters great stuff
This was amazing experience as a kid to watch this movie in the theater. The audience was so excited for every character intro. That much energy never repeated again in any movie going experience I had. Not in any of the Harry Potters, Star Wars, Marvel movies had the kind of reaction MK got.
I believe till this day, this was my favorite theatre experience. Being a kid at the height of Mortal Kombat popularity watching this movie at a packed theater, speakers louder than ever. What an experience
Hype was unreal back then. Saw it opening night, along with this movie and MK trilogy being released the next year on home console. Greatest one two combo in MK history.
Aw man. The 90s! GREATEST time to be alive IMO! I am SO glad! Born October 2nd 1985! And I don't regret it! :)
1984. Right there with ya brother. Greatest time to grow up.
I was 4 at this time and I never saw this in the theater, but would have loved it though. Wish I could go back in time and be with that crowd experiencing it for the first time but at the age I'm at now. I appreciate everything about the scene so much more even though it's one of the coolest things a fan of the series can watch, at any age.
I actually can't believe this video exists, so I'm glad it does and that I found it!
Somebody recorded this..🤘🏼your a man of culture
When this movie came out I was 6 so obviously I wasn't able to see it in theater, saw it on vhs.
But man did this video feel like 95 even looked like it with the video camera quality.
Great video 👍👍👍👍👍
This was an awesome reaction from back in the day, i remember I went to see MK with my bro & there was a similar reaction. loved it.
Tener una reacción de 1995 en el estreno de una película en cine, es oro puro. Ahora están de moda gracias a la tecnología de los celulares, pero en aquel entonces era complicado.
Gracias Mike!
Extremely ultra rare footage this is very good
This was a great crowd reaction video. definitely makes me flash back to when I first seen the movie 😊
Wow, brought me right back. We knew the theater owner, so watched this with the sound system cranked after hours. Wore the VHS tape out too.
i was 9 when i saw this in theater,i remember punching the air and copying the bicycle kick from my seat
next day during recess all we talked about was how dope this movie was
Lol, you must be the same age I am. I never saw this in theaters but I got the VHS tape right before I started 4th grade.
Good times.
The way the music slowly kicks in always gives me goosebumps.
normal reaction at the end.. "where was johnny cage that entire time?" lol this movie holds a special place in my heart.
Wow. I saw this 6 times in yhe theater as a boy. I was so in shock at every scene and the music was a masterpiece pf a soundtrack
I remember watching this in theaters when it released. A massive pop from the audience when Reptile came out.
Damn I remember watching this twice in theaters! Plus the soundtrack was kickass!
It's nice to know that back there they already used widescreen, I only read about it, but never saw actual footage about it
Exactly the reaction I was looking for. In 1995 I was a baby but I wish I was old enough to watch this in theaters!
Freaking awesome!!! I remember when everyone cheered during the bicycle kick back when this movie premiered 🙌🙌🙌🙌🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This has to have been recent.
Either way it's good to see the classic mk get shown love.
I remember seeing this in california at the movies. Thanks for this post.
I saw this movie when i was small i dont remember shit about how the crowd reacted. Cool to see this. Thanks for sharing.
This was a throwback to be sure I enjoyed the video it was awesome the delivery the way it was presented kind of like being back in the movies back in the old days I think I was like 4 or 5 years old when the first movie come out couple years later me and my cousin John washed it at my grandmother's house Good times
Wow this reaction was just how I imagined it! Great upload 😊🔥🔥🔥
cool video. I've been watching a lot of of these theatre/cinema reactions, and there's a lot of precious videos in ytb. i'm impressed how people talk during films in usa, i mean, in other countries it's not commom. Of course, i'm not talking about the parts where everybody is terrified, surprised or laughing.
They typically dont. This is definitely a recent recording at a private screening in like a convention room.
Bad ass presentation
Bad ass theme
Bad ass fight
Man this is takes me back in 1995 I was 5 years old when my mom and dad take me and my brothers to see this movie this was the first time that we all watch MK and man we was happy best movie ever thank you mom and dad.
