Its weird seeing Raiden so similar to my half-sisters' mother, Elaine. She's the kind of person who's in her 60s and goes mudding in a minivan while screaming like Xena. She's the most delightfully insane person I know.
Christopher Lambert had that PERFECT balance in his acting as Rayden. He wasn't too serious, but not a joker to ruin that seriousness. If Lambert were to continue his reign as Rayden (where as Remar butchered him in Annihilation), alongside many other better castings and scripts, I guarantee you that there would have been a trilogy of movies within Mortal Kombat. Sadly, MK: Annihilation ruined that.
The two times Christopher Lambert said I don't think so in the movie were probably one of his best lines. The tone and seriousness he could convey with such a small amount of words was awesome and they added the lightning to his eyes before and after when he says them to give him more of his god status. Just wish they could of gotten another movie out before they all were too old...with the movie 1 actors not movie 2...god no not movie 2 at all....

I didn't notice it the first time I watched this movie back in the 90s, but rewatching this recently I couldn't help but notice Christopher Lambert is channeling David Carradine so hard in this role, who would have made an excellent Raiden himself had he been cast. The OG Raiden. 🔥
I miss this raiden
I just made a variation of Raiden in MK11 and named it after this badass quote, "I don't think so" Anyone else?
"Too much television!"
No one :
Raiden : I don’t thinks so
THE GOAT RAIDEN
Raiden most creepy laugh .
Definitely iconic though
Is it weird that I'm kinda envious of the actress who plays Sonya having Chris Lambert gently whispering in her ear?
I loved this movie! Rayden's my favorite character in the MK series!:)
Here after they confirmed Christopher Lambert's Raiden skin (and voice too I think?) for Mortal Kombat 11 :)
Such a amazing movie. It was a video game movie, and they totally made it work and made it pretty good. So sad the second movie was such a joke, they could of made it good like the first one.
if it had better action, lambert, better script, and better actors playing sonya - sindel - motaro -and shao khan. it was really let down by some of the fights beign so weak and short as well as the dialogue - the guy who played Jax I'd say was bang on. The
I think it was a clear case of being high off the success of the first film and thinking they could do anything with the second. The saw money and that's all they cared about lol. The cast of the first movie was so gold in every way lol.
jason scott lee was good for action in both but in the second apart from the shao khan fight he went kinda emo
@@rucu8311 you mean Robin Shou?? Lol
@@Cloudx7strife dang, I'm humbled... I always thought it was Jason Scott Lee. But you're right
0:50 Christopher did amazing as raiden like hearing that enough sends chills down my spin because everyone knew this man was about to put Shang tsung in a body bag instantly
Its weird seeing Raiden so similar to my half-sisters' mother, Elaine. She's the kind of person who's in her 60s and goes mudding in a minivan while screaming like Xena. She's the most delightfully insane person I know.
lol
Raiden has such a weird sense of humor lmao
Christopher Lambert had that PERFECT balance in his acting as Rayden. He wasn't too serious, but not a joker to ruin that seriousness. If Lambert were to continue his reign as Rayden (where as Remar butchered him in Annihilation), alongside many other better castings and scripts, I guarantee you that there would have been a trilogy of movies within Mortal Kombat. Sadly, MK: Annihilation ruined that.
My all time favorite Mortal Kombat character. I was so psyched when I saw his shadow behind the curtain wearing his hat 😀
Glad someone made a video of raiden thanks ():
What a perfect time to watch this
This movie was great, a lot of fun and suprisingly it holds up really well.
Great video so well spoken and so wise is Radin.
Who is here to see A raiden that is so perfect it makes the new 2021 raiden look so mediocre and trash?
This is what Tommy Wiseau wishes he could do.
90s vibes. I LOVE IT❤
He sounds like Robin Williams’ brother from Mrs. Doubtfire
Harvey firestein
god how i wish annihilation was this good!
He can pee into your soul
Ryuhza Sorry.
Seriously?
He was real intimate with Sonja. Man had a damn thunderbolt
And then in the next movie, they changed actors and Raiden turned into a punching bag
We just got a skin for mk 11 and ther got the voice actor for it. That is awesome
Chris Lambert would do an awesome Kami in a Dragon Ball movie
I though Christopher Lambert voce had been getting raspy through the years but it seems his voice has been always that way. I got moving memories about the movie but still remember i used to love his Raiden, it's much more charismatic than the one in the game.
I didn't notice it the first time I watched this movie back in the 90s, but rewatching this recently I couldn't help but notice Christopher Lambert is channeling David Carradine so hard in this role, who would have made an excellent Raiden himself had he been cast. David Carradine was a well-known actor made popular by his roles in martial arts films so it makes sense Christopher might have been inspired by the late actor.
1:54 feels like an outtake but I ain't even mad
2:23-When the bully starts going in on you but your dad is right there...
Christopher Lambert doesn't talk, he whispers loudly.
Christopher Lambert was a fantastic Raiden.
Who is here after MK11's “Klassic Movie Skin Pack” trailer?
This MK movie will always be better
