An hour and twenty minutes of nephew talking? He might have met his quota for the next year. Awesome to get a chance to hear his story tho. The conversation had a very natural flow to it, like two friends catching up.
Ngl Brian, but I think you're making the best fgc content at this time. You're basically one of the top correspondents and commentators in the scene at this point. Thank you for doing what you do
his event recaps are a godsend. I look forward to them every time. I like having a top player who's able to tell us the fun storylines while having good game analysis. Truly the GOAT
@@TheCJRhodes right....this is why personally i like Punk so much. So many ppl hate on him and complain about his antics and the things he says, but the thing is, hate him or love him he brings some MUCH needed personality to this damn thang. Imagine how much more interesting events and the scene in general would be if it was full of more Punks. Would probably draw more attention as well, to other types of gamers outside of the FGC. Would def make great clippable content for the scene as well.
My favourite episode so far, you're definitely an incredible host and get a lot of cool stuff out of you guests! Nephew's journey is a pretty cool story, here's hoping he can keep the dream alive!
Ngl, the most low-key player in the fgc accidentally putting together an international PR campaign and having extended interviews with both you and Tokido posted within 6 hours is kinda incredible 😂 Or was this a big-brain 10D chess move from the start...
Ngl brian f should get a Nobel prize because 1 hour & 30 mins making nephew talking is legendary feat 😭😭😭😂😂❤❤❤ also "street fighter league us and eu sucks" Nephew 2024
Cause of Neph and Kawano I picked up Kolin towards the end of the last season and had mad fun playing her, still one of my favorites from the SFV roster. Hope to see her in SF6, but it's highly unlikely ...
Love that youre doing this podcast now. I look forward to them Bit of feedback, i know this is really about fighting games but maybe weave in some personal questions. Like what music are people into, movies, shows etc Could be fun Edit: im only 20 minutes into this one so forgive me if you do. But i dont remember you asking stuff like that in the last two
before we get too far into the podcast can you please rearrange the playlist so that episode 1 is set as the first episode, and change the settings of it so that every new podcast is added to 4-5-6 instead of 1-2-3?
i hear ur point about feeling like coaching sessions 1on1 aren’t worth it cause u can just make a youtube video, but i’ve seen ppl especially in the melee community for example upload their coaching sessions to youtube or charge like 5-10$ for someone to purchase all their lesson VODs permanently
I check my youtube subscription feed a few times a day but now 3 times out of 3 i miss the Trashtalk upload! i always notice that an episode is uploaded after seeing one the clips! i don't know why, maybe it is the unnoticable / inconsistent thumbnails or i am just blind!
This CPT is the most stacked out of all CPTs out there (except EVO) and that's saying something. EVO obviously had the Japanese and the 5000+++ entrants.
Juggling traveling and playing on a competetive level with the miniscule amount of days off the average American gets sounds insane, even with a European amount of holidays it's quite an investment
I can comment on the CPT singapore set ups freezing up, i think the PC needs to cache whatever graphics or whatever, because as a rashid player, whenever i would level 2 the first time each game fresh froim launch, the setups would slow down.
7:35 I'm actually shocked a lot of tournaments still run on PS5 due to all the input delay the console versions have compared to PC. Doesn't really make any sense. That input delay makes a ton of difference. People who say the difference isn't that much has never played on the PS5 version lol
Even if we disregard the handicap that is input delay on ps5, sometimes the environment / circumstances just don't allow for this. Not even fully on the TO's
NA players so privileged they get to play opposing coasts on worldwide range. Meanwhile, I'm being matched with people from South America while playing from India in the early morning hours.
My match got held up at EVO 2023 because my opponent had the USB casing from the previous PS5 setup stuck in his controllers USB port, because it had heated up so much it melted the glue holding the casing in place.
Masters is 2% of the overall players, and at the level of the pros, its less than 1% of the player base. I'm surprised you're getting even 20 unique players at your levels. Seems like they have expanded regions if Nephew runs into Punk. Don't think it would help as much as you think. Timing seems to be more important as Nephew said. No other answer really, finite amount of players dumping that much time into the game.
@@GOLDENCHEESE34 Data I polled said 2%, but 2-10% in general is still very low and hard to matchmake with those numbers, along with your last point, inactive players, either by reaching master and swapping characters (very common), or just dropping the game for something else. Some groups coordinate gaming events and times to play all at once for lower population older games. Maybe pros need to do that more often...
Enjoyed the interview, keep them coming. Neph taciturn as always. These trash talk episodes would be better if 1) Brian talked less and listened more and 2) they were a bit shorter. Feature length films for two FGC guys chatting?
haven't watched all of it yet but you can tell by the length that nephew is still a man of few words
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I needed this to recover from the 3 hours from the previous 2 (however they were both worth it)
Nephew's terseness overpowering even Brian's longform content powers😂
wait for the James Chen episode, it's gonna run around 6 hours :D

This. He is the standard for FGC content creation.

Nephew talked more in this podcast than he has his entire life, I'm shocked.
Programmer to Progamer
lmao witty
Nice
Nephew talked enough to warm my cold dead heart and bring my dad back from the milk trip.
Players who I have a feeling will be on the next episodes:
• Shine
• MenaRD
• One of the birds
• Punk
• Other bird
• Broski
• Doki
Having Amjad and Adel on the same call would be so sick
@@keorinkoluexl6365 for sure
Doki ?😂
@@human_h8839 because they were in the same team for the Sajam slam
ngl, him having his slam team on individually would be sick, talk about the competitor's mindset etc etc
Nephew is unironically funny as shit lol.
Unintentionally so but yeah, I love this guy lol
lmfao i don't think he knows how funny he really is
im pretty sure thats not even remotely close to the proper use of the word "unironically"...but i get what you're sayin😂
@@nunyabizwacks6711 unironic means you’re being serious or genuine….
Is Nephew the Tim Duncan of the FGC? Have to drag every word out of him, very frank, subtle trash talk, etc.
He just seems like every other CS major I’ve ever met 😂

THIRD EPISODE ALREADY??? Damn, not holding back, nice to see! Let's catch up with Nephew
My favourite episode so far, you're definitely an incredible host and get a lot of cool stuff out of you guests! Nephew's journey is a pretty cool story, here's hoping he can keep the dream alive!
Hell I work at a huge pharmaceutical company and I’d quit too if I was this good at street fighter. Nephew is such an inspirational player and person
You got my fav pro! Didn’t see this coming thanks for the content
I look forward to Trash Talk every week. Lets go!
I never listened to podcasts.
The Brine made a podcast and got Rob, iDom, and now Big Neph.
I guess I'm a podcast listener now.
Ngl, the most low-key player in the fgc accidentally putting together an international PR campaign and having extended interviews with both you and Tokido posted within 6 hours is kinda incredible 😂

bro almost all FGC pros are "low-key" lol. Thats why Punk is awesome. We need the type of dudes who gonna bring more energy to this shit.
GOATcast f in Brian stands for fgoat
Nephew...What an overwhelming personality!
Best trash talker in the game!
@@chm2acting like Punk don’t exist

I'm in the same boat as you, she was my favorite character
Nephew really got to adapt that Jury rushdown style into his conversations 😅
Great episode, really enjoying this podcast so far!
Love Trash Talk
Nephew would
Be the shortest episode 😂
Monotone Neph

These are a godsend to listen to during shifts. Learning a lot too!
Gotta see the bro Smug on here
In my college it was very standard for CS students to finish in 3 years
Keep this series up bro. Try to get punk on next episode !
I’d love to see Javits on the program.

Should be done!
Nephew, ChrisCCH, and Speedkicks are GOATs in their own realm because I know they are both high achieving people both in game and IRL.
I havent had a chance to watch yet. But i hope to hear nephew's reaction to brian's nephew impressions.😂
Thanks for the content!
these are really good I like these! great job Neph!
Brian you did great as well too but I was congratulating nephew for his tourney performance as well as making a good podcast episode

Didn't know that Singapore had such a big esports scene and good production, makes sense that Evo Singapore is happening now
Love the content Brian!
These conversations are so interesting!

Short but sweet
Lets go brine
More events need to be less games, they need to focus on 1-3 games to have a better experience for players

Wait this isn’t trash taste 😂
Is this on Spotify? And if yes what’s the name?
“Trash Talk” is on Spotify
17:53 😂
WOOO NEPHEW!!!!!!!!!
i ASKED HIM WHEN THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN LOL
PC tournament would be so much better for controller accessibility. I had to switch to a ps5 pad at evo and hated it
Nephew will win capcom cup!!!
Team Liquid better keep Big Neph around for as long as HBox will be.
Japan might have better a better league but their production are unwatchable live. Like I am scared for CCXI to just being poor to watch.
Thanks 🎉
Does he show Neph his impression?
PS5 not functioning optimally is on the organizers still not knowing how to set up the consoles for optimal all day use.
Even if we disregard the handicap that is input delay on ps5, sometimes the environment / circumstances just don't allow for this. Not even fully on the TO's
So the top 2 qualified?
No question about uncle?

I think you might need to manually choose which server you enter when playing online then my guy
Let's Goooooo!!!
Nice
Evo was played on ps5 with no issues
PS5s were melting people’s controllers at EVO last year lol

Its 10% of players worldwide according to cat cammy (counting only highest rank characters). In addition, 40% of master rank players are inactive.
