•Points to note: 1.Maara is not a remake of Charlie it's inspired from Charlie,we can say this as the story line completely different from Charlie but the characters remain constant. 2. Maara's protagonist now has a cause. Where Charlie's Protagonist don't have a cause i.e it will not be delivered clearly in it. 3. Maara is a little bit realistic from Madhavan's commuting vehicle and his surroundings,where Charlie's don't depict them as it is. •Major Differences: 1. Maara's protagonist speak a little and it's not very bold. 2. In Maara the Heroine (Shraddha Srinath) is shown a lot and Madhavan is seen less. 3. Charlie's BGM have been with us for 5+ years now and we're connected with it. So Maara's music will not be accepted by our hearts, although Ghibran has made some magics. 4. As mentioned Cinematography and art are more brilliant and sharp in Maara than Charlie. Over all Nothing is less when compared. Both stand high in particular aspects. Wishes to the Maara team, we loved it❤️.

Watched the movie. And Prasanth review is spot on. With pools of contemporary movies with blood and violence Maara was a refreshing journey. The color, tone and the backdrop was motivating. From the lead actress to all the actors in the move did a fantastic job. Maddy is such a positive vibe to see on screen. Of course no movie is without flaws but who cares when you are given such a refreshing treat by the director and the producer. I never watched the movie Charli which was a reference for this movie but I am sure this is a wonderfully made Tamil movie. Many years back I watched a movie called Lesaa Lesaa which had a similar feel good factor. Wish the director and the producers of Maara give such wonderful treats in the future too.
After watching movie second time I dropped in here just to see this feeling is for me alone or all...After long time have watched this movie twice.. Sure the count will not stop. Thanks Prashanth ..
Watched this movie.., good attempt on 'adaptation' .But because I watched Charlie several times,I couldn't stop comparing.The fresh energy and the Binale feeling was missing in Maara.

I saw this movie yesterday. Simply love it. I fall in love with maddy's magic. It's one of best choice film. It just make me happy.

She was keep telling me to see this movie. i started seeing this movie from 12 AM and after this movie, i got so happy and wanted to see the original version Charlie 2015. immediately after this movie i started seeing Charlie in SUN NEXT. I myself enjoyed MAARA than charlie. Thanks to the director. Then i want to hear the review. i first saw blue sattai and then yours. Dude, trust me, what i felt after i saw this movie was reviewed by you. you are such a fantastic and true reviewer. Blue sattai saw this movie or not i dont know. he simply gave negative comments and said movie is waste. I think he should stop reviewing movies. He is a paid reviewer it seems and does not know review. MAARA is totally better than Charlie and We can not compare Maadavan with anyone. He gave life to this movie.
