This is the same with me. Especially with stickers. Every time I get a birthday card with a sticker securing the envelope I'm all like "NOOOO, I don't want to rip Snoopy and Woodstock, it's so cute, NOOOO!".
@@bluebaron6811 omg real! i'll order a bunch of stickers & then never use them because i'm scared of "wasting" them (using them for their intended purpose). or if i get something wrapped in cute wrapping paper i'm scared of tearing even the tiniest corner
Then get a binder where you can keep one copy of it like a photo album then use the rest of it.

Emily i have never felt a stronger bond of kinship with you than this video haha!! The stationary absolutely killed me when i was living in Japan as well but i definitely leaned more into the pen side. This is making me wish I'd enjoyed more washi tape!

the girl moved to japan from the US. she loves travelling. she’s also been to so many conventions and concerts across South east asia and even in japan has so many videos of going to anime cafés and cute themed hotels. her last video was about visiting the UK.

Oh i feel this. I like writing stories as a hobby and im drawn to stationary like a tractor beam. Give me sweet fountain pens, cool looking journals, etc and it'll send my creativity spiraling for hours.
Then the challenge becomes which to use first, right?

For an event called the "Stationary Girls' Exhibition", I'm impressed how much could appeal to a general audience. I for one would love to have one of those wax seal presses.
I disagree with the choice to name the exhibition "jushu(women)",'cause it was unnecessary:
sadly it's still a common stigma for males to appreciate and use cute stationery and items in general(few days ago I read a comment on a video in a UA-cam short where a person[a guy/man,I presume]asked if they had stationery for boys and people in the comments wrote that stationery doesn't care what it's in your pants etc. and it made me sad 'cause stationery and items in general are just things and they aren't just for female kids/girls/women/etc.They are,or should I say "should be",for everyone),so they should had named the exhibition without the "jushu(women)" word
Furthermore,this company has a lot of "serious" stationery for boys,girls,non binary people,etc.,so clearly this guy/man/etc. who wrote the comment doesn't know them well
@@fanfight I sort of get /why/ it was named that DUE TO the stigma around stationery. But I 10000% agree with you though, it's ridiculous that there is a stigma in the first place, because stationery is a fantastic thing that everyone can enjoy!
Maybe it was started/organized/funded by women/or a group of girls? That's often the case when events or other things are named like that. It's common for whoever funded or organized an event to have their name/brand in the title of an event. Like the girls book fair that was held at my old high school the girls book club my friend was in planned and organized the whole thing. There was a boys book club too and they did attend but they weren't involved in any way with setting the fair up they like evryone else just had a stand. Its like credit if they had let the girls out of the name it would have been a discredit to those girls hard work to make the event happen. While i dont know if thats the case here i believe that either way men need to stop worrying about things like that. If you complain about something having the word girl in it or a feminine name and see this as a reason you can't do something then you're just perpetuating that same stigma you're complaining about. Women shouldn't have to hide their involvement with things or not receive credit for their work just so you feel more comfortable with your own masculinity.

Ah, what a delightful video. I love listening to people get super into the side hobbies they have that they don't often get to talk about. It doesn't have to be something I'm even the slightest bit into myself (though stationary is something I'm starting to dabble in a little recently). Watching people being joyfully passionate about the super niche thing they're into is just so wholesome it's almost... therapeutic, in a way?

I had a huge obsession over art supplies but never really got into cute stationary. This video might have pushed me to dive into the cute stationary route because those art supplies are absolutely ADORABLE! Might have to start with getting some cute washi tape :D
When I visited the Sekaido Shinjuku store in Japan, I could hear my wallet pleading for self-restraint 😂😂 Doesn’t help that I’m also drawn to art books as well
if you draw taditionally you can use the washi tape to fill in clothes and the strawberry cross stitch one to make borders of dresses cuter
You could also stick some of the tape down on paper and scan it to use in digital illustrations (I sometimes do that for fun)
I literally BEG you to do more cute stationary videos, that would be so nice and aesthetic and calming! I get the aesthetic, honestly there are lots of different cute forms of stationary that catch my eye, I just tend to lean more towards the "well travelled/professional" aesthetic of notebooks and pens, the modest but well made look of a personal journal with a complementary pen just feels satisfying to hold and use.

Yay new video! This one speaks to me a lot, I must have bin fulls of washi tapes, gel pens and cute stickers. To the people who have expressed fearing to use them because they don't want to regret or waste, please don't! Sometimes I'll buy something twice, one to keep safe and sound, the other to use on my journals and projects. There's soooo many cute stationnary designs out there that spending time worrying about if you're using it correctly isn't that big of a deal, you can always use your next sticker sheet for the better😊
At this point, I can somehow believed that Emily can naturalized herself as Japan's citizen if she wanted to. After all, she can even found stationary to be interesting just because they are cute.

As someone who's parents own a small stationary store, it always makes me so happy to see stationery and forother people to enjoy it as well. I would of definitely spent my life savings buying all the cute stationery 💕

GIRL I FEEL YOU! I visited Japan for about 2 weeks and most of the things I bought was stationery. Everything there is so pretty and cheap. "Unfortunately", my mom also loves things like that and what's more - she's a teacher, so knowing she'll definitely use it I grabbed the opportunity and bought everything cute in my eyesight haha. But like, how can I say "no" to cute stickers with cats in traditional Japanese clothes?!
Anyways, I'm so jealous of people who can go to such conventions

I also have a love of cute stationary, especially because gift giving is my love language, so I really like to decorate those. However my parents find it unreasonable, maybe it is but it makes me happy, so I continue to love cute stationary.

I'm so glad I'm not alone in my love for cute stationary, it really does make the neurons go brrrrr. I'm a sucker for creature based ones and pokemon ones esp but food-themed ones are also great! It's dangerous for me to go into asian-based stores where they have a corner for stationary cause I know I'll go nuts. I know the day I go to Japan it will be game over esp after watching this video and the stationary neurons in my brain were going crazy the entire time. It's the way that I actually got back into scrapbooking because of seeing your journal in one of the anime cafe videos and seeing scrapbooking TikToks and it made me realize I actually love stationary so much and I wanted to do it too. So sad I missed the giveaway, tho 😭 Hopefully there is another, because I would love to participate!
Maybe in the future you can do a scrapbooking/journal tour, especially as an inspo cuz they're so pretty to look at the combos of the different items!!
