- Athena the jill ferret bolting rabbits from their underground warren system. All clean and hassle free bolts.
A longnet ring and a couple of purse nets to reduce hole hopping. This warren was surprisingly deep and complex. I would have ran two jills but unfortunately I was having problems with the collars. Athena managed it by herself anyway.

These rabbits are collected for food, for my ferrets and people. This is a free range meat, that has lived a free life. These rabbits will be controlled even without me. By taking them myself, the meat is used. Ferreting is an environmentally friendly method of harvesting free range meat.

I'm s professional hunter and to tell you the truth I have never seen such amazing landscapes like in Scotland... the wild nature in itself... you are doing a wonderful job man bravo!

I was watching this video while next to my cat and she really got into it. She especially liked the bits where the rabbits underground suddenly bolted.
At the very end the video when it showed several ferrets she actually put her face to the screen and tried to sniff their noses.
Before pesticides became a way to control rodents, rats, mice, domestic ferrets were used. In England, a farm was not considered to be properly staffed with animals, unlessyou had a clutch of domestic ferrets to assist in rodent control. The English farmers alsohunted rabbits and hares with domestic ferrets. English and American ships also had domestic ferrets in the ships holds to assist cats in the control of rodents. The ferret could go where cats could not, behind the ship cargo. The albino ferret was considered the "royal" ferret in old England. Only the aristocracy had the white ferret as a pet. Too bad so many negative comments on here about hunting animals with other species of animals.
I've never heard of ferreting until now, and I must say that this is genius. Thx for the little history lesson😁

Так как это была обыкновенной андатрой, а андатра по хорактеру отличается от крысы. Хвост у её плоский и толстый а у крысы круглый

мы как то завели хорька, а у нас на даче в зернохранилище заелись мыши, так вот выпустили мы его погулять, он всех переловил и нам под дверь сложил😂

У нас в Самаре только зайцы, и они не норятся . Поэтому с собакой охотимся ,либо по следу идём, капканами ещё нормально ,но это только когда снега много и заяц тропу набивает.

@@ZhanZX главное приготовить нормально а так ничего страшного нету. Трихинеллёз как от кабанов диких не подцепишь.
В Австралии кроликов уже много
