I want to see this band live already! (A friend of mine played drums in a punk band called Babies With Rabies... They weren't great, but she's still an awesome drummer!)
Next idea for a future history video, The Troubles in Northern Ireland, like Belfast and Derry/Londonderry. I recently visited there on holiday and the history was so powerful and shockingly fresh, I couldn’t believe it only ended in the late 90s, within our lifetimes!
I'm in Kentucky about 50 miles from where this happened. I've heard of this before but love your take on it. That dude who ate the meat needed his head examined lol.
I am obsessed with "weird stuff falling from the sky" myseries. The Oakville Blobs started it (I live in Westeran WA and my family is from near Oakville) and now I can't get enough of these events.
vulture vomit is the theory i believe just because i love vultures. thanks for making this video it clearly wasnt easy but it was entertaining and interesting!
I truly learn so much from your videos Georgia! I’m a history lover so your history videos are always a firm fave. I also love how you focus on John & Jane doe cases and how much care you take in telling their stories. You’re always shining a spotlight on smaller and more unknown cases and it is so appreciated. You are so diligent and respectful. Been here since before you started your true crime videos and want to say thank you so much for all your hard work it is so appreciated. I also applaud you getting through this video subject as a fellow weak stomach sufferer 🤣♥️
This was a very interesting story ..I was eating salmon at the time ..all I could picture was the description of the meat and it was on my plate lol 😅 great video though !
I loved learning about this even though it is so gross! As a Kentuckian, I had never heard of it before and it’s always so fun to learn new things about where you live ❤
Not the jellybeans 😭😭😭 Id heard about this story before, but not in so much detail. I think my theory last time i heard about this, is that there was some giant underground fungus colony growing and something caused it to rupture lol
I got so excited when I saw this title that I immediately PMed my mother (also a Georgia fan) to make sure she saw it. "AW YUS! GEORGIA JUST POSTED A VIDEO ON THE MEAT RAIN! I've been hoping she'd do this one!" "The... the what?" "It's one of those weird mysteries that occasionally gets brought up. Like, flesh raining from the sky for no obvious reason." "What, from a clear sky or something? Like those frog rains? Or that beetle rain I saw as a kid?" "I think so. I dunno, I haven't watched it yet." "Did they... like... eat it?" "...Uh. I dunno. I hope not? I haven't watched it yet!" "Well, watch it and let me know!" At least now I know where I got my crazy from. Thanks, Mum! 😂
Oh my god. How can something so disgusting be so hilarious. I laughed until I cried watching this video, and now I feel sick as well. Thank you for suffering for our entertainment, Georgia! 😂😂
I have an incredibly weak stomach, bad smells, nastiness, mucus, blood and guts (in film I haven't seen guts in rl) all set it off. I would have died from tossing my cookies in the olden days for sure. I was queasy, and stayed until the end because I want to support your videos. I was also fairly sure it had to be carrion related. I'm not sure Rebecca would have noted them because they're such common birds.
Wait, so I recently learned that vultures are bad ass in the sense that they can eat the meat of dead animals infected with rabies and other things, and they dont get sick themselves. I guess its something genetic, and their stomach acid is SO acidic that it breaks down illnesses/infections. That was wild enough for me, but now you are saying they can intentionally induce vomiting to fly faster?! Also, I just looked it up and found even MORE fascinating stuff with vulture puke. 1) it smells SO BAD that that alone can be a defense mechanism that scares off predators, and 2) if you get hit with their puke, it is so acidic that it can burn you. Another "fun" fact: bald eagles are known to eat vulture vomit.. As an American, WTF. Why exactly did we choose an eagle as our symbol?
Thank you Georgia, ❤. You researching this subject is greeting appreciated. So much content you discovered on such a historical occurrence. Something I did not know about as I am sure not many others have heard of either Excellent work Georgia. 👏👏👏👏
Glad to know I'm not the only one who automatically assumes someone I love is dead whenever the slightest inconvenience comes up. Dad is late coming home from work? He had a car accident and died. Husband hasn't arrived yet? I should call the hospital and ask if his body has been brought in. Daughter didn't send me a text saying she made it to school ok? Of course she was kidnapped. And dead. I blame growing up in the 80s for the ever-present presence of doom lurking over my head, like falling into quicksand, being offered candy at the park and then kidnapped by mysterious men in white conversion vans and ending up with my face plastered on a milk carton, getting nuked by the Soviets, receiving apples with razor blades in them at Halloween, or being sacrificed to Satan by a group of teenage boys wearing Iron Maiden t-shirts.
That is indeed the vibe of having grown up in the 80's! For the record, I love Iron Maiden, but the Satanic Panic was such a real (silly) thing that I can openly mock now as a grown-ass metal loving adult. And I still worry about my loved ones too much too! Partly because I've lost too many of them over the last few years, but also partly because we were trained to be paranoid from an early age!
I appreciate a lighter video this one made me feel very... Uneasy and floppy though 😂. I probably would have fainted doing the research so thank you for persevering to bring it to us 😅
Slight spooky vibe ahead of Hallowe'en. Btw a bushell was used here in the UK, I always associated it with measurement of wheat. However, odd things falling from the sky are well recorded, including being captured on video, including falls of fish, frogs, hazelnuts, and "jelly", to cite a few. Odd things falling from the sky are mentioned in the Bible and by the ancient Greeks. I've seen the aftermath of a rain of blood in NE London, in fact it was rain coloured by red dust that originated in Africa that had blown across Europe. I don't know about vulture vomit but Various theories have been put forward for odd things falling from the sky - whirlwinds, updrafts etc.
When I was a kid I was in the backyard digging a hole with my brother when some guts fell on my arm. It was from the vultures that lived in the trees behind our house and it was stringy and gross and the milky liquid would be the digestive fluid
This is interesting, and good you covered it. I feel sick though now. Whatever it was it sounds disgusting. I was caught between laughing and vomiting!
Georgia Marie, I don't have the slightest idea how to respond this week....except to say that the pit of my stomach agrees with the pit of your stomach.
Pro tip, if you want jewellery not to tarnish buy real jewellery. Real gold doesn't tarnish, that's the point. It's bot adult to buy 50 quids worth of fake jewellery in one go vs 50 quids worth over the course of a year, and it's not a shrewd investment, or even an investment at all. A shrewd adult investment would be buying a piece of gold jewellery made of actual gold.
But Ana Luisa doesn’t tarnish so yeah £50 is a great investment, I’ve had pieces from them for years and they’re still 10/10 - calling it fake jewellery is wild, the vast majority of people (including me) aren’t going to be able to afford real gold
I’m sorry, i love your videos but i will have to stop watching if g the he tiny mic holding persists, i can’t concentrate on what you’re saying with that thing waving around in front of your face, please go back to the old mic, please, I really love your content but tiny floating mic is too distracting
Most people seem to like it and I really love how the audio sounds! I also feel like I speak more naturally when I’m holding it vs just sitting reading off my autocue 🫠
I am sorry the mic is a distraction. I hope you don’t stop watching for Georgia has such interesting and educational material that anyone who does not listen to her channel or does not know about it is missing out . Most all videos I listen to is through an earbud and so rarely do I see the screen. I hope you find a way to not be so distracted and can continue to watch. 🥰
I'm obsessed with Georgia holding her mic... She's like an on-scene reporter.
Agreed!!
vulture vomit is the name of my new horror punk band

I enjoyed this episode so much! I laughed every time you described the “weird sky meat” in a different way. 😅
There was a 1978 book called Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, later a 2009 animated film. Perhaps this event was an inspiration.
I loved learning about this even though it is so gross! As a Kentuckian, I had never heard of it before and it’s always so fun to learn new things about where you live ❤

hahahah dainty is a new one, thank you!
idk if i would be disgusted or fascinated (maybe both) if i was unsuspectingly given a meat-eor shower jelly bean.
That was a great pun omg
Why did everyone try to eat it😭
I have three older brothers. I can eat despite the most gruesome of stories!
I hope you're able to wipe this story from your memory, and soon.
😃
I had a theory involving airplanes.... Until I remembered airplanes weren't invented for another 30 years 😂

I never thought about how big each piece was until you compared some to the palm of your hand. Why am I making dinner right now.
Forget Rebecca's motives, I wanna know the motives for the guy who claimed it was frog spawn!
Okay, if that professor offered me a bean, I would taste it. For science.

My theory is either vulture vomit or some type of algae

I’d have to wonder if the tasting was altered because of the liquid the meat was kept in. I doubt it’s accurate to how it tasted at the time 😂
Update I saw today in the news, they may have found Jaliek rainwalker. 😢
This case makes me think of when they blew up a whale and threw flesh everywhere
It has to be birds or bird related
I saw someone else wearing your cherries jewelry 🍒🍒🍒
I've never said this on this channel b4 but I regret watching this lol 🤢 Just glad I wasnt eating lol
Tornado
Clearly, a meat-eor shower.
This is sillyist thing ive ever heard in my life. Have a good day Geogia, i know i will. Im gonna go listen to Cannibal Corpse now
