My wife and I are watching from Ontario, Canada. I'm an American citizen and she's Canadian. We were looking at moving to southern California but had too much trouble navigating the U.S immigration system. Now that we've discovered your channel, we're looking hard at relocating to Cabo San Lucas. Planning to get the full guide and schedule a relocation tour sometime next year.
OMG! I was there 40 years ago and stayed 10 weeks. The roads were not paved, no street lights, cows wandering and the only fancy hotel by the beach was Hotel Finisterra.
Tried the beaches in Mexico. Ended up in Patzcuaro, Michoacan. In a higher cooler springlike climate! Where you can actually do things outside and need no air conditioning! As of 2 PM Aug. 21. Cabo time, it was 90 degrees F, feels like 101! Too hot for me!
@@MexicoRelocationGuide I've, noticed that we may be suffering somewhat from climate change here. The summers, as you know, are wet in many areas. At 7,000 feet we get summer rain. But, normally it has been rainy later in the day with sunny mornings. About 5 it rains! Sometimes hard! This summer it has rained more and it has been cooler. We will all suffer in some way, but it is very green and everything grows!
@@anniesshenanigans3815 ! Back in 2007 my ex wife and I vacationed in Guadalajara and Lago de Chapala. She had lived with a family in Guad as a high schooler studying Spanish. I had never been to Mexico. I fell in love with Guad! After our divorce, In 2011, I went to Zihuatanejo by myself because of the movie, The Shawshank Redemption. I found the beaches to be too hot for me. A little later I went to Morelia and to Patzcuaro. I settled in Patzcuaro! Best climate and low keyed, not too many gringos yet!

Taxis I don’t tip for unless they are helping me with a lot of suitcases or groceries Hotel staff I tip usually about 50 pesos a day to the housekeeper And depending on whether it’s all inclusive or not about 10% to the staff
been coming to Cabo since the days of the Trailer Park blah, blah, blah. Grown a bit hasn't it! one thing missed in these videos and of real importance if you have gotten old enough to not wanting to hang upside down at Mango Deck is the medical facilities are good! My wife, a Cancer survivor got seriously ill bout 10 yrs ago (several days in a ICU) and the care there was better than you could hope for !! And a whole lot less expensive than the States, (we live bout an hour North of Los Angeles). At that time I had just had a CAT Scan before coming $600, wife's CAT Scan in Cabo $78 !!!! Medical staff all trained in So. Calif. I want so much to move there but wife has extended family here and adamantly says "No way." (how is the "dating" scenario for an old fart in his 70's ?) 😎

Same here... Living in San Diego but in escrow on a house in Cabo. Cabo is the only beach city I could find in Mexico with (almost) the same weather as San Diego 😊 (and also with a quick direct flight to SoCal)
In Mexico they are EXTREMELY serious about the masks. Over here in the states we've seen masking up almost go away but Mexico is on the complete opposite side of that spectrum. In many places they are required still and if you don't wear them you will very likely have people coming up to you and telling you that you have to put a mask on depending on the establishment.
@@JoeyBeeFit Yes, we noticed that when we were in Huatulco in March 2022 and Cancun in 2021. We would love to move to Cabo but I think masking is stupid and ineffective and that is enough to make me look at other places(like Costa Rica) to move to. The new president in Costa Rica removed all vaccine and mask mandates. It is weird that Mexico was relatively relaxed about Covid rules but now they are one of the last countries to hold onto required masking.
@@annstock8343 honestly I think the reason why they are so strict with the masks are because they were less strict about closing the country off and forcing people to get vaccinated. I think that it was kind of like a trade off to not being so strict in other ways. But regardless I definitely know what you mean because I think that it is not necessary to the point that they're doing it. It can be frustrating but I do believe it will end at some point. It's just a matter of getting to that point unfortunately LOL

Smart man. Cabo is NOT really Mexico! It's Newport Beach South, full of Gringo's trying to sell you property you can't own Fee Simple!

Very much so- but we still recommend practicing surrounding awareness
