Edits like this one are purposefully engineered for a unique environment. The suspense, building of intensity, the breakdowns… can be MAGIC when played by a dj in the right way to packed house of funky party people. What this track is capable of is not going to be immediately apparent by playing it at home alone on your computer.
No No - trust me - I'm getting it. It's FANTASTIC. I'm constantly amazed at how incredible Stevie Wonder is. Everything he's done is just absolutely perfect production work. So this is an interesting take on his work. I LOVE IT.
I can listen to any mix, remix, edit etc,at home by myself, and I can easily realize, that if it sounds good, then good things follow.if it sounds bad, then it's not happening.
in my opinion, this is just taking a brilliant song, and in whatever way Todd Terje always manages to do it, adding that bit of his own personal expressive brilliance, creating a new listening experience to thousands of music fans who already know the song. Suck it up and enjoy it, it's too good to be petty about.
Not usually crazy about dance remixes, but I think Todd did a fantastic job on a tune that always was about dancing, in my mind. Excellent work. Thanks for sharing.
I love the rhythm tracks in this song. Years and years back, we played around singing this song and combining together the rhythm tracks of both Superstition and Higher Ground to do it. Try it sometimes, it's a blast. The guys were great.
Nice little tune, Don't doubt that Todd Terje can't make more upbeat when he's made one of the happiest ever tunes with Inspector Norse but this is sick! Not everything needs to be fast to make you dance! Sometimes it's fun to just sit back and listen to the music. This is amazing!
I frequently look for remixes to add fun to older songs. Have to say, this is a fantastic remix.. ..listened 3x already, one of the best. Keep up the great work!!!! Some of us wouldn't know what to do without ppl like you!
Uh oh. Atomic dog and superstition just had a ferkin beautiful baby. A masterpiece - minor flaws re structure - but ferocious talent, thank you, fabulous.
That’s already in your blood and DNA, kids. O, that groove! Stevie Wonder just knew how to bring it out of you and put you back in it better than before.
this is a seriously amazing edit pulls out and enhances the best parts of the song bananas!!! this is going to be the first song I play in 2010... approximately 12:02 am PT
This is cool..i like. Enjoy someone else's interpretation and expression. Now I've got a tune I can use those HUGE "funk kit" toms on on my electron kit, 'cuz the acoustic just don't get THAT big w/o mikin' up. Thanx for the little gem man.
Fantastic edit. Made for the dancefloor as Greg Wilson knows and often plays. Compliments the original but makes it more dancefloor friendly in a good way.
regardless of my critisisms... A fabulous Stevie wonder track that's hard to do wrong. Bonafied classic (in it's original form>) mixing this with 2 copies is so much fun. (not on COMPUTER..2 turntables folks)
Will everyone stop talking shit, the original is awesome and all Todd has done is make it dancefoor and DJ friendly! I think it's an awesome rework of an already awesome song and if you don't like it go lurk in some dark corner of the internet away from here and stop bothering us with your poor musical taste!
@brunskibeats 2 different vinyl releases are out... and this is the day of tons of re-edits... I think love it or hate it it refreshes the classics and keeps them alive. I don't even understand what No1nptkulr is rambling on about...

Yes!!!!!! It happened to me at a party. I played this and the room looooovvveeedd it
Yeah a half decent dj can own a crowd with this.

he's made one of the most dance floory tracks even more dancefloory. that's how good todd terje is
Nice. Terje has kept the classic elements which make this a great song.
That crazy shit he's doing on the hi-hat - a subtle/percussive tone and lots of off-beats, sounds f-ing awesome.
I like the percussive beginning - making us wait for the famous riff.
His "Jolene" similarly takes the long way in..... 😎✌️
Danke einfach nur Supi 😊❤❤❤Michael

Mr Terje just added his touch of genius to an overall awesome song

One of the top songs of all time.
What a remix! "Keep me in a daydreammmmm" transcendent!

Outstanding work. Remarquable travail.
This classic is greatly enhanced.
Thanks a lot
Love this edit. Does an amazing track total credit x
thiis MADE MY DAY!
todd terje is a genius
actually, no. Jeff Beck provided the inspiration for Stevie's song with a simple backbeat on the drums. This is clumsy and horrible!
That is an astonishing record.
TODD TERJE RULES..
100% FRESH
This is called Evolutin of Music !!!
En gammel Wurlitzer jeg har, takk for musikk

Apparently, at the very least, 14 people do. But thanks for weighing in with such valuable insight.

Holy fuck that's DIRTY.
This is the baddest remix of Superstition. You just dont hear the funk, U feel it.

Fantastic edit. Made for the dancefloor as Greg Wilson knows and often plays. Compliments the original but makes it more dancefloor friendly in a good way.

no doubt a very danceable mix, but the original is a timeless classic......one of my fave tunes of all time......:-)
Good song has good rhythm 🎉🎉🎉
what a great remix it IS
I love that Arp, its unmistakable.
Steve Wonder wasn't blind. Let that sink in.
What is love?
@@modifieri Haddaway 1993 👍🤣
He is still alive, you know.
Blimey
que buen temaa todd en la buenaa ♫♫♪
FANTASTICO.....👋👋👋💟🎵💎🔝
this is soul funk dynamite!
Those 2 mins and 20 seconds are for the DJ to work.
Ok for club dance floor but the economy of the original is elegantly, deeply funky in a way that is missing here. Mr.Terje has been better else where.
yur wrong ideet
Katie Kohl
Eloquently put Katie I agree.. though it does take a lot to make a good song better.
The original is way better i agree, however i dont see how you think this would be good at a club.
This is a more darker, sexier and mysterious edit. I like it a lot.
While I agree that the original is better, Todd's edit adds a bit of a twist. I enjoy it for casual listening. Definitely not a club track.
TODD THIS IS TOO HOT!!
