It is the late 1990s... The world is embarking on an age of peace and stability. Relations between the Cold War superpowers have thawed. Regional conflicts are being resolved. The threat of nuclear war is now a thing of the past. But there are some who do not desire peace... An atmosphere of tension begins to build in the Middle East. A military junta comes to power in Zanzibar Land, a small nation bordering on the USSR, China, and the Middle East. Zanzibar Land attacks nuclear weapons disposal sites around the world, seizing those weapons that are still intact, and becomes the world's only nuclear power. It then begins to invade its neighbors at will. After renouncing nukes forever, the world is once again threatened by the specter of nuclear war. Meanwhile, the world's oil supply, which was to last another 30 years, suddenly, and unexpectedly dries up. Without a safe alternative source of energy, the world faces a severe energy crisis. It is in these dire circumstances that Dr. Kio Marv, a Czech biologist, develops "OILEX", a microbe that can synthesize high-grade petroleum. With this discovery, global tensions are once again on the rise. On his way to attend an American scientific conference, Dr. Marv is kidnapped by agents of Zanzibar Land. With its nuclear weapons and the secret of OILEX, Zanzibar Land plans to achieve global military domination. A tiny microbe, only a few microns wide, is about to change the world forever. The U.S Goverment, feared by the ambitions of Zanzibar Land, have sended their best operative. His name?Solid Snake.....
Hardest difficulty: Fox countering like a pro. Plus, no continue after hit on a mine ONCE. Try to keep the fight in the center at all times, Fox would punch you and send you flying towards the mines. Wish they do a remake earlier. Would make a separate save so you load that level over and over again just to fight Fox. I only played the first MG, on some cheap 99 in one game cartridge but it's too difficult for me. Maybe give it another shot? But I only got a PC.
I just imagine Gray Fox and Solid Snake battling it out in a field that resembles where Boss and Naked Snake dueled. Only it’s overgrown and the fauna is dead, symbolizing the end.
@DasKronprinz true. the heavy rock dosent suit. but the piano and other soft areas of the peice of music is incredible! all in harmony. look at it on a different side. im sure Kojima loved it!
@DasKronprinz oh dry your eyes dude! It ain't as good as the original but it is good to refresh stuff for anniversary celebrations. Gotta say the xylophone and piano bits are amazing, do the 8 bit version some justice! Metal Gear Saga is my all time fave, it merges the MGS themes and makes an amazing piece.
Raiden is far stronger now than he used to be, and chances are that by the time Rising takes place, Snake probably died of Accelerated Aging (he's only in his late 40s in in MGS4, but FOXDIE aged him to the equivalent of his late 80s). Not to bash the haters, but I think he's not given enough credit; what he lacks in original personality, he makes up for in sheer ferocity when fighting in close quarters.
+Polnareff's Long French Baguette That's rubbish, man. :( Before MGSV released, I spent two years envisioning dropping into missions to this theme. Such a shame. 'Next gen'... it does everything that last gen did, but less!
Excuse me for the timing, but Solidus actually sucks. In contrast to Snake and Liquid, he needs this fancy-ass Doctor Octopus suit to fight, yet he still sends his minions after Raiden. He is an arrogant S.o.B. who doesn't share any similarity to his brothers or father other than his genes. But a game with Liquid as the protagonist wouldn't bother me.
There are only two masterpieces Metal Gear (1987) and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (1989), the rest s*ck a$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This song is terrible. I hate it with all my heart. It's a disgrace. This destroys the great and epic song that the 8-Bit Zanzibar Breeze used to be. I will never forget Mutsuhiko Izumi and Takahide Ayuzawa for their crimes against music.
"Otacon, it's Snake. I'm at the sneaking point. Time to rock the fuck out."
Now that's METAL gear solid
I don't get it.
TheReal Ghost Metal like the Music Genre

This was perfect to read along with the song. Thank you.
WE NEED REMAKES OF THE 1st 2 MG's!!!!!!!!!!!
If they make a Metal Gear Solid movie, this NEEDS to be the trailer song.
No trailer yet 😔
It's really fucking windy in Zanzibar.
...
Land.
This puts the METAL in METAL gear.
Imagine this song as the MG2 remakes fist fight scene for Gray Fox and Solid Snake on the mind field
Hardest difficulty: Fox countering like a pro. Plus, no continue after hit on a mine ONCE. Try to keep the fight in the center at all times, Fox would punch you and send you flying towards the mines. What makes the song for me is the piano starting at 4:10. The guitar part is cool, but I love the piano part.
Ian'sbutt the Best part. sound like there are lots of mystery behind zanzibar.
I always thought it would've been badass if Big Boss and a bunch of Diamond Dog solders attacked OKB zero with this song playing.
Tecnically the song are of Big Boss (Naked Snake) and Solid Snake, more of Solid
This should be the fight music for a secret boss in metal gear rising who would be an even more badass gray fox.
***** Big boss is more badass
Cyborg Snake as playable character in Rising pls
@linkuei83 Nope...BIG BOSS is so badass that they had to clone him thrice just to replicate his badassery
This song goes so well playing battlefield 3 / 4
I just imagine Gray Fox and Solid Snake battling it out in a field that resembles where Boss and Naked Snake dueled. Only it’s overgrown and the fauna is dead, symbolizing the end.
Still don't understand how all these years later someone still hasn't cleaned this up and made the drums louder. That kills the song for me.
mondothemaniac because nobody sees an issue but you
Always love it when morons comment on something almost a year old...
Awwwwww you're almost funny.
mondothemaniac
And your mom is almost a decent woman.
Oh no a trolllllllolololol he is trolllllllllolololololing me oh noooooo
play this when they've got my position in MGS4. Great theme to run away to.
The cool breeze in zanzibar 😎
storywise metal gear 2 might've been really cool especially with this song
Have you cooked your bird yet?
dog ate it
I was the dog
When i listen this music, i imagine METAL GEAR 1 and 2 on PS3...
@DasKronprinz true. the heavy rock dosent suit. but the piano and other soft areas of the peice of music is incredible! all in harmony. look at it on a different side. im sure Kojima loved it!
Need To buy this soundtrack....soon
AAAAW YEEEEAH!!!
Sh** ! I totally forgot this one ! I'm making a music file to play a new MGS5 game. This one goes in it ! :O
enorme cette musique
I like the original song better.
me too
The integral version is great too.
except since 4:09 of this version.
Fucking Epic! Want do play the 2 MSX Games because this version of music
Zanzibar Breeze
yeah its epic
The Full Power of Snake war!
@PowerfulFoe BROTHERRRR!
SNAKE!
...did you like my sunglasses? ;D
Hehe solid snack
@Goku3388 In a goddamn minefield.
Really, I want to see this on the big screen.
@superrobottaisen Actually, Liquid isn't on the cover either. It's Solid Snake two times with Big Boss.
... some, do not desire peace...
Raiden is far stronger now than he used to be, and chances are that by the time Rising takes place, Snake probably died of Accelerated Aging (he's only in his late 40s in in MGS4, but FOXDIE aged him to the equivalent of his late 80s). It wasn't FOXDIE... as a clone, he was engineered to age quickly.
Normally I hate the over the top hard rock shit. But this... this is not just shit... this is THE SHIT!
Old man is retired
Also with "Ground Zeroes" you an play a Snake so let Raiden be Raiden and have his own game
F****** ACE!!! >8D
I feel like a helicopter now needs to be lobotomized or a boss needs the shit kicked out of him!
This is why I'm so annoyed that I have an Xbox One now... I wish this was my chopper music in MGSV :(
Not possible to use your own songs on XB1.
+iTubeYourDadsMinge it's not possible on PS4 either, seems PC and last gen only.
+Polnareff's Long French Baguette That's rubbish, man. :( Before MGSV released, I spent two years envisioning dropping into missions to this theme. Such a shame. 'Next gen'... it does everything that last gen did, but less!
PC only, not even last gen gets the option like it did in Ground Zeroes.
nor PS4
nor PS4
there is not solidus in the cover....a son whitout atention XD
Xenoblade vibes.
Bawwwwwwwwwwww...
Came back 10 years later to realize that I accidentally disliked the video. Oops my bad!
This remix sounds like something that belongs on Doctor Who :D
hahahahah very funny, raiden is the more badass one anyway
No, The Edgy cyborg trying to be better than Solid, but only no.
Samuel is more badass than Raiden
Raiden can grow a pube and we all still won't be impressed
Excuse me for the timing, but Solidus actually sucks. In contrast to Snake and Liquid, he needs this fancy-ass Doctor Octopus suit to fight, yet he still sends his minions after Raiden. He is an arrogant S.o.B. who doesn't share any similarity to his brothers or father other than his genes.

Original is much better
Agreed.
Zaeboshi Nope

it came out in 1990 and this is a horrible take
@@catercu1 It was the true masterpiece. Yeah, 1990, it's correct. The best game
