in the UK its is very normal to have the washing machine in the kitchen. having it separate is uncommon due to lack of space. However, i am building in Oyarifa in Ghana and i will have a separate area for the washing machine.
I am from the Caribbean and I can't wrap my head around a washer being in the kitchen. We have laundry room for that or some people put them on the porch/veranda.
Here in Bulawayo Zimbabwe blocks are not allowed in certain arears , only red clay bricks called the engineer bricks are approved by the council. The council inspectors stay close to the project till it's competition. Clay brick are expensive as the walls have to be double in low density areas. There are 3 tires in residential properties, low density (which only allow red clay bricks and strictly double walls, medium density same rules apply and lastly high density arears called (Townships) this is where blocks can be used. I think building in Ghana is much more affordable overall.
In the uk, standard to have washing machine and dryer in the kitchen,we are blessed in ghana to have space so allow room for a wash room, what your thoughts on epoxy flooring i haven't heard you talk or show them, yet. Building in winneba
Ideally. I think I have to make a video on it. But quickly, pump can get spoilt. Depending on the height of the house, pump may not be adequate. You may need more than one pump. Depending on the salt content of the water you may need more than one water tank for purification
We don’t have a finished kitchen we cook outside on wood and we came in and carried water and use generator for lights 😂we crawl before we walk 🎉but we’ve not had to pay rent again
Hello africa building hub! I'm one of your subscribers. Can you please give me the list of the solar parts that you have bought for your building please? I have the same building like your house, 2 bedroom apartment up and down in Ablekuma and i want to install a solar light please. I want to buy the solar parts here in Germany 🇩🇪 and ship it to Ghana.
Exactly my comment whenever I see this. The detergent smell isn't good for the kitchen. People watch too many movies showing this from small apartments. Maybe they never used a washing machine themselves before
If you don't have money for tiles, just do smooth screening and use carpet. Tiling can always be done later.
True true true!!

I have live in different European countries and it is quite normal to have a washing machine in the kitchen or in the bathroom.
Oh really??? 😂
In USA we typically have a room dedicated for laundry. I think the washing machine in kitchen is a EU thing.
It's common in the UK, but some houses also have laundry rooms.
Thanks for commenting
Rooftop roofing gives you the benefit of enjoying the sun, but you could also encounter leakage if not properly done

The truth is I don’t know anything about epoxy flooring that’s why I haven’t spoken about it. I can only talk about what I’ve experienced
If you have a bore hole with pump, do you still need a really big water tank. Thanks for a really informative video.

Do you have to tile your rooms before fixing doors? Also are louvres more secure?
Ideally you can tile before fixing doors. Else you make reservation for the space the tiles will occupy after screeding
I am sorry there is nothing wrong with a washing machine in the kitchen. one does not cook and wash at the same time.
Thank you for the feedback

The washing machine goes into a wash room. The only time I see a washing machine in a kitchen is when someone is renting and there is no wash room.
Exactly my comment whenever I see this. The detergent smell isn't good for the kitchen. People watch too many movies showing this from small apartments. Maybe they never used a washing machine themselves before
I find it so strange when I see it
NO clicking now
Thanks for watching to the end
I think washing machine should be in a laundry room
