Do eggs collected from outside mosquitoes safe? Or is the egg collecting safe to begin with? Does that mean collecting the Larvae from outdoors is bad especially if its from dirty water and not aquarium water/aged water? I had an empty aquarium here and mosquitoes started laying eggs in it, ive been thinking on feeding it to my constipated betta fish, but im not so sure if this larvae’s are safe to be fed on the betta to begin with.
no sir i think its okay. I fed mosquito larvae from dirty clogged drainage for 5months now and no case of any sickness on my fishes and fry. Just dont forget to purge for 30 mins before feeding. Put it in a tap water + 2 tblespoon salt + 1 drop of blue medicine.
Kinda late but you can freeze them using the water from your fish tank not the water from the culture. Get some water from the aquarium in a container, dump the larvae in the water then get a turkey baster and put them in ice cube trays and freeze them for later. I say use aquarium water cause it's already dechlorinated and clean (if you keep up with water changes).
I won't be bother. Just use greenwater from my fish tank put it on front yards that shades by leaves and tree. Let it alone. In small buckets. A few days the mosquitos will be there. Add some leaves or banana peels. Once the colony of the larvae were spot on, its time for the fishes to enjoy treats

Algae usually are created in sun or other light that produces heat if you have a very hot sunny day theres a chance of an algae creating slowlu

You can put some extra stuff to create stingy odor, mosquitos loved to lay eggs on it.

Yes it's okay, as long as your guppy fry can eat it whole. And yes you can feed it daily, but don't overfeed your guppies.
You can feed it to guppies of 2 month age (1.5-2 cm) I have tried. For very small fry mash the larvae in a mixer and then freeze it.
