I'm at 240 miles in my first pair of Rincon's. I'm 185lb and they definitely started flattening out some at 125 miles, but I haven't noticed any further degrading since then. I have a second pair I used in a half marathon and then my first marathon in Houston and they did great for me in both scenarios as a 8:40/min HM pace and 9:06/min marathon pace. I'm expecting 300-350 miles out of these, however at 240 miles they are now only comfortable up to about 12-14 miles. I did run four 18-20 mile runs in my marathon training block with 140+ miles in the original pair.
Review is spot on. I’m on my 4th pair and the west pattens around the same. I haven’t pushed any pair past the 250-275 mile mark; the outer sole could handle about 300 miles, but the foam just dies around 200-250. Speaking with my local running store, they mentioned that their Hoka rep informed them that this shoe is made for 200-250 miles + - Either way, I love them and rotate them out with my Carbon X that I use for longer runs to keep my gait more efficient. Hope these comments help? Keep up the great videos! 👍🏻
203 miles in my Rincon but i do notice that they aren’t as “lively” as they were when I first bought them. I still feel like i can take them to about 300 miles though. Im definitely not going beyond that!
Glad you got to try it. It was the best shoe I ran in for 2019. A good mix of versatility and value. Best of luck for Boston training & race from one of your #kofuzirunclubhouston members.
hi Mark! great to hear from you. it's quite remarkable that the retail for this is $115 (or perhaps it is more of a commentary on the state of running shoe pricing)
I will be going on my third pair, just a matter of me getting off my butt and taking a drive to the store. While they do wear out fast, i figure i would have bought two pair of any other shoe for roughly the same cost as i would for three pair of Rincon in the same time period - I'm good with that. I show wear in the midsole area and on the outside heel in the same location. I would say if they brought the rubber into those areas i could stretch them comfortably to 250 miles, but by the time you hit that point the foam is pretty much compacted anyways. Never the less, I am a big fan of these shoes. I could probably make them last if i rotated them out with a pair of designated trainers; however, i just really enjoy running in them though so that makes it a bit difficult to switch it up.
This reminds me I never actually reviewed it on my channel even though I've ran 400km in it! great shoe they brought to the line-up. Really enjoyed hearing your thoughts on it, thanks for sharing :)
@@googlephone8353 Yeah I guess it was! 🤦 but it was also a genuine reminder for me, as I've also had the speedgoat evo and carbon rockets and not reviewed them, I've been injured for a while so no chance to get them out.
Did you ever experience degradation of the midsole cusioning? Did it flatten out and stop compressing under your weight? 400 km is a good amount for these :D
My first Hoka's (Gaviota 2) were showing wear on the rubber sole after only 50 miles. The foam was exposed on the outer back corner of my heel after 100-150 miles due to light heel striking. Nevertheless, I am now at 300 miles with them and just put down a PR on the half-marathon with them yesterday. It's time to decommission them now and bring my second pair of Gaviota's in the running routine.
kofuzi I use it anything from a daily trainer to tempo run to longer distance run. When the midsole has died I wear it casually to run errands. Am stocking up multiple pairs. 😬
I have such a small, smooth brain that even though I know the shoe doesn’t work for me (too narrow in the old toe box) I still want to pick up another pair because I like that black and yellow/lime color way you have so much.
i ran for a while at the Houston Marathon next to a guy who had the exact same opinion. He was racing in an older pair of Hokas (pre-dating the Tracer, I think) that he had hoarded because he loved the room in the toe box for a shoe that he could race. I wish I could remember his name or the shoe he was talking about.
kofuzi there’s one that Hoka Heads talk about all the time like it’s El Dorado. Not the Clifton 1 but something of similar fame. I wonder if that’s what the fellow was wearing
I also had tension in the upper exactly where you described near my big toe joint. I had Rincon's in a colorway from their initial release, and they did not have this issue. My second pair in the same colorway that you have do have this issue. I contacted Hoka inquiring why this might be - and they mentioned that the newest colors are from an entirely separate production run, and may be why there is a slight fit difference in the newer color releases. Food for thought in case anyone needs the extra volume up front!
i've noticed that this is seems to be a not-unusual occurrence in shoes. i wouldn't say its frequent, but its not unheard of. it's frustrating for shoe reviewers like me, but i suppose it's a win win for shoe makers and runners in that there are (theoretically) improvements that we don't have to wait a whole entire year for
Great review. Thanks. I had read that Hoka soles wear out quicker than some other running shoes. Love the look and performance of the Rincon. Having been an avid ASICS Kayano 25 runner over the decades, ASICS soles are so bulletproof. I currently own the Kayano 25. Good for road and trail. I wonder if I was to switch from the Kayano to the Rincon, whether I would be happy.
Great in-depth review of a shoe that I've been seriously looking at as THE shoe for my 2020 runs. In 2019 and up to now I have ran on road, gravel and over the last few months on the treadmill exclusively on the Brooks Ghost 11. I'm at over 2000 km on them and I never ever had a problem with pain related to the shoe so far. The only sign of serious abuse are big toe holes on top of both shoes and the rubber being worn out at the typical spots. No kidding right? Now I wish I had the chance to get at least two pair of shoes and mix them up depending of the run but I was looking for another brand that can be a workhorse and last me a long while. My choices right now are between: HOKA's Rincon & Clifton 6, NB 880 V10, Skechers GRR8, Salomon 3 Sonic Balance and of course Brooks Ghost 11 or 12 (but I would prefer to try another brand). I typically run a 10k in 45 minutes and managed a 21K in 1H39 minutes. I like to run everyday between 5ks to 10ks and keeping the longer runs 20 ks for the weekend. With all this said is there a shoe that you can recommend more than another? Please accept my apologies for this way-too-long comment. Thanks!
My Rincons have worn in a very similar pattern to yours on the sole and no problems with the uppers. I agree that while the wear on the sole looks bad, it probably is just cosmetic. That said it could have been easily avoided (with very little weight penalty) by just extending the rubber in a couple of places by a very small amount.
it's pretty much the exact same thing I said about the Epic React when I first got them. With the Epic React, it turned out that the extra rubber wasn't necessary. But with the Rincon, I'd love to have just one more little square (diamond?) of rubber on the outsole.
I'm at 350 miles on my Rincons, and they still have some life in them. Will probably retire them at 400 or so. The outsole is showing less wear than my Clifton 6s did at the same mileage. I was surprised by that. I wore Rincons for my last marathon, but I think they're better suited for some faster long runs or tempo paces. Thank for the review!
Thanks for the great review this is one that I keep thinking I should pick up - very curious to see how you feel about the Fuel Cell Rebel and how it compares to the Rincon
Great vid! I'm on my 2nd pair of Rincon's.. I bought a 2nd pair after about 450-500 miles on the first pair.. they were my only shoes and I do daily 7 mile runs with a long run of 12mi+ on the weekends. My souls look a bit chewed up after 500'ish miles but I really didn't feel a big difference buying the new pair last week. I'll likely put 600 miles on this new pair before I replace them. They feel great to run in though.. excellent all around shoe. The Ghost 12 I was using before fit a little better but that could be the size... both 11, I definitely prefer the Rincon's for the bounce/spring and speed. I feel like I run faster/easier with the Rincon's.
@@kofuzi Road runner for the 75 percent.. the rest on barkomulch. We have some fantastic bike paths here going up and down the Willamette river in Eugene and tons of mulch trails all over around the University.
I have yet to pick up a Rincon since they are mostly out of stock here in China (situation further complicated by the current virus outbreak). Chances are, by the time I can get one, it will probably be the next version.
I had the Hoka Elevon, the wore just as quickly and they were Hoka's high mileage shoe. Didn't leave me with a first positive impression of the brand given those shoes were pricy. I replaced them with a pair of Altra Torin 4's that have very little wear after 130 miles.
The rincon is narrow versus the C6. I have a slight wider feet. After 90 miles, there is now a small rip on the instep near the toe area. So not advised for those with slightly wider feet. Otherwise, a really nice quick shoe. Still prefer the C6
After using them for a while I parked them in favour of some Altras the difference in forefoot comfort is just amazing! I never really thought the Rincon was that great - I switched between Clifton and Mach 2 for tempo days .. now I see the Mach 3 has arrived I will try them out - but really starting to look at Hoka and go .. come on guys just a little bit more in the forefoot please and yes I know you can get widths in the Clifton .. not the Rincon and you really shouldn't have to suffer for your run.
I had these when I was heavier (240 pounds) and didn't get much life out of them. Maybe 100 miles and they were smoked. Want to give them another go after shedding some weight
Like FOD Runner, I loooove my Rincon's but mine went flat at 200 miles (well, 190, as that last run was uncomfortable). I was very disappointed as the general Rincon feel is my idea of shoe performance heaven. Not sure I'll buy another pair...really struggling with that as I've gotten 380 miles or more out of at this point 4 Hoka Cliftons (4, 4, 5 and 6). Clifton = $130; Rincon = $115. Also, I'm wearing NB Beacon 2 and at 150 miles they feel as fresh as day 1. Maybe Hoka should buy fresh foam from NB. ;) For reference I'm 140 lbs. and a neutral, midfoot striker.
Given my weight (85 kg), my first pair of Hoka's (Gaviota 2) in size 12,5 are still feeling supportive and reactive after 300 miles. They do feel a little bit flatter than my new, second pair of Gaviota 2, but still feel comfortable and functional for now. I run slower, mostly in the woods, and strike lightly on the heel however. That might save the mid-sole foam.
Any chance you could make a video about what mileage you retired your various shoes at? Durability relating to price is a big factor for many of us on quality shoes, so I think it would be very helpful. Thanks!
unfortunately, i'm a victim of my own success. i want to review a lot of shoes, so i typically retire shoes at 100 miles. my bread and butter previously used to be the 270 mile review. i know i need to bring some of those back, but i'm just one man and i can only run so much
Hmm... I was considering trying these for my next training shoe as I ramp up the miles for my marathon but I thought maybe the Clifton 6’s would be good to get for most runs and then the Rincon a few weeks before the marathon and use them during tempo runs and a couple last 16-20 mile runs before using them in the marathon itself. I feel I’d have to run the marathon at
Shoes that wear out take the blow for the runner....if shoes didn't wear out the complaint would then be that they were a little uncomfortable. Worn out look is a small price to pay for comfort
Used it for the Arizona marathon and got two blisters on each side of my inner forefoot. The side of the shoe is a little tight or it's the material as you pointed out. Wish the toe box was a little bigger and I dont think they make a wide. Still a good shoe and still use it
I’ve been running the brooks ghost for years and I’m finally branching out (hoping to pick up some speed) I currently have a brooks ghost and the Pegasus turbo 2. Is the rincon something I should add to my rotation or is there a different hoka you’d recommend? I’ve never tried hoka before. I also only run half marathons at the moment so my long runs are not quite as long as yours!! Any suggestions I would greatly appreciate. Love your channel!!!
Hey I’ve got my first marathon coming up (LA Marathon)! I’ve been using the Hoka Clifton 6 for daily training. I want to pick my marathon shoe soon so I’ve narrowed it down to the Rincon and Carbon X. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Kofuzi, very nice video! have been following your channel for a long while... anyway, i have been running with my Carbon X and completed my first Full Marathon in Osaka in last Dec. I am now thinking to get a new pair of shoes for my LSD and tempo training... tried on the Rincon, but it feels very similar to Carbon X (may be my feeling is wrong) and Clifton 6 but not very sure about it... also waiting to try Elevon 2... what would you recommend? comparing to Nike React and Asics Novablast... just too many options out there... :)
Nice vid kofuzi! Would you say this is worth comparing to the carbonx? Im looking for a marathon racer and looking if id put this up against the carbonx. Thought? Thanks in advance!
I have carbon x and rincon but i prefer the rincon in my marathon race. No dead toes. No heated foot. No blisters. Actually i love it so much, like you are running in clouds. It has a wide toe box so my toes can breath.
I have both. Turbo 2's are in a league of their own. The foam quality is brilliant and much more responsive. Hoka foam isn't as responsive and like the man here said, they flatten out.
I know the reviewers tend to prefer the Rincon, but I'd take the Turbo 2. Cushion more noticeable, more bouncy, but with less inherent stability, less breathability (Rincon mesh is great) and worse fit (on me). EVA doesn't do it for me. And the Turbo 2 sole has lasted well for me.
I'm 185lbs and have 240 miles on my first pair. I expect to get 300-350 miles out of them, but at this point I'll only take them up to 12-14 miles where I comfortably used them for 18-20 mile runs earlier in the shoe's life for my marathon training.
I have a pair of Rincon. I used them for my longruns and raced in a half in 2019. IMO the sweet spot is between 100-200 miles. Now mine is over 200miles, I do feel the foam flatten out quite a bit. I now tend to grab my Sketchers Maxroad4 for mid-long runs more. I think the Rincon can last over 300miles, but the runs will not be as enjoyable.
David Nasemann I’m just glad they weren’t as expensive as other shoes. I’ve already noticed wear on the bottom just from running 30 miles in them. I would definitely buy another pair! Interested to see what the next version will be.
I really like my rincon, I plan to use it for my next marathon. How many km do you think I can put into them before the race? 🤔 maybe I need a fresh pair
I’d feel good about racing in mine. I think one could probably race in Rincon that had 150 in them, although at that point, you might want a fresh pair even though not might not be absolutely necessary
Hi kofuzi, I am planning on getting a new daily runner and was thinking of getting the Rincon. Unfortunately, there are not many stores around me that sell these and I am not able to try them on. I was wondering what size you wear? I normally run in Pegasus 35s in US9.
so late to the game reviewing these when the Rincon 2's are just around the corner. Most people have already gotten the information needed on these shoes.
I tried a pair on at a running store while I was in Melbourne for work. I was trying to find a pair of CarbonX, without success, but ended up in a pair of Rincons. They felt incredibly light on but a little too narrow in the toe box. My question is, as you mentioned it, did you find this to be a significant issue? I am nervous that they will split on the outside part of the upper after some distance. I have a bit of a bump on the outside of my right foot, you have to expect stuff like this when you get to 61 like me, which bulges out on shoes that are slightly narrow for my foot. Hoka has that feature where the mid sole seems to wrap around the foot where it attaches to the upper. The Speedgoat is a good example of what I'm talking about. It simply won't stretch to conform to my weird foot over time. Is the Rincon like this, or did you find it stretched a little more to conform to the shape of your foot?
I'm at about 700km in the NewBalance Beacon2 - holding up very well and they work amazing across speed work & long runs - do you think the Rincon stands equal on this? Thanks for your great reviews!
I have Rincon and Beacon v1, both at about 375km. I would say the Beacon midsole has been more true to original feel and Rincon did flatten out. However, I will still take Rincons out on a longer run (20km) where Beacons always have topped out at about 16km for me. I am a little heavier at 84kg, so I know many lighter runners can take the Beacon much farther.
At this point would you go back and buy it with your own money if it wasnt provided to you. I love my rincons a ton but am deciding if I want to buy another pair when I retire them.
i currently have a long backlog of shoes in need of testing, so i don't particularly need to buy any shoes for a while. but i would gladly buy the next iteration of the Rincon (although I would hope that someone sends me a pair to review).
Rincon was WAY too narrow and firm for me. I refuse to force my foot to adapt to a shoe that just does not fit. I wanted to like it, but just wasn’t for me.
i have a variety that i have been liking this winter. it's been mild, so there have been a lot of options that I like from TCA and Uniqlo. stay tuned for tomorrow's video.
I like your videos and I know you review about running. but I think you can step up with small thing for making your video better... can you fix White Balance and your exposure.... sometime, your skin is burned, and color changing and It happens on all your videos.
i set white balance on auto. whenever i put something dark in front of the camera (like a dark shoe) and then take it away, it takes the camera a second to adjust. I am due for a new camera at some point, but it's probably never something that I will have the patience to deal with manually
Quick question: For a daily trainer would you recommend the Rincon, Clifton 6, 1080v10, or the GoRun Ride 8? I'm lumping in the Rincon because it still has a pretty considerable amount of stack height compared to other shoes.
of these four, without knowing what else you have in your closet or what other shoes you have liked or disliked in the past, i'd lean toward gorun ride 8 and clifton 6. 1080v10 if you're a taller runer. rincon if your daily training paces are a bit faster
Hey, Kofuzi. You mentioned before that you supinate when your foot strikes the ground and wear out your shoes a lot on the outside (lateral side). I do the same. You mentioned that they wear out a lot faster. How many miles do you usually get in a pair before you retire them? I'm at 100 miles in my Cliftons and they are worn out pretty good, just wondering how many more miles I should put on them. I doubt they are worn out yet, but I'm thinking maybe 300miles, just to be safe?
i don't think i supinate. i think i overpronate. i think that i get that wear pattern from how my foot hits the ground (or drags along the ground). my toes stick out like a penguin.
I ran 2800 miles last year. I can’t imagine a shoe that can last that many miles If you’re looking for a good value for a daily trainer, I’d recommend looking for a Pegasus 35, a beacon 1, or epic react 1
The answer might depend on what kind of running you’re looking to do in them, but I have not been a huge fan of UB for a while now. So, probably, I’d pick Rincon 1 (this video), Rincon 2, or Rincon 3
i get this type of question a lot. do people with flat feet want a lot in the arch area of the shoe or do you want to have very little in the arch area of the shoe.
I'm at 240 miles in my first pair of Rincon's. I'm 185lb and they definitely started flattening out some at 125 miles, but I haven't noticed any further degrading since then.
I replaced them with a pair of Altra Torin 4's that have very little wear after 130 miles.
my first hoka was the clifton 1 rerelease. i was underwhelmed. it took me a while to try another hoka, but i'm glad i did.
I want to want to try altra.
Gotta pick these up for my fast training runs
its a solid pickup, especially at the price
Maybe Hoka should buy fresh foam from NB. ;) For reference I'm 140 lbs. and a neutral, midfoot striker.
fresh foam is definitely one of those foams that seems to last forever
Showing wear in the mid area as mine! Best shoe I tried in 2019, absolutely loved it but the midsole went completely flat around 175 miles
Always like seeing UA-camrs interacting with other UA-camrs in the community.
that's surprising with that 175 number. it seems like you usually get a lot of miles out of your shoes.
Thank you for the wonderful review and awesome content.
I wonder what do you mean when you say that a shoe has pace/speed sweet spot 😊
Any chance you could make a video about what mileage you retired your various shoes at? Durability relating to price is a big factor for many of us on quality shoes, so I think it would be very helpful. Thanks!
unfortunately, i'm a victim of my own success. i want to review a lot of shoes, so i typically retire shoes at 100 miles. my bread and butter previously used to be the 270 mile review.
i know i need to bring some of those back, but i'm just one man and i can only run so much
kofuzi haha I completely understand, thanks for the unfiltered reviews I really enjoy the channel
Would you recommend these over the Nike zoom fly ?
I feel I’d have to run the marathon at
finally! i wanted to see this so badly
sorry for the delay. racing and shoe reviews don't always go well together
kofuzi no you’re fine, i get it. and speaking of shoes, when they come out do you think you’ll review the new balance fresh foam tempo?
Shoes that wear out take the blow for the runner....if shoes didn't wear out the complaint would then be that they were a little uncomfortable. Worn out look is a small price to pay for comfort
Used it for the Arizona marathon and got two blisters on each side of my inner forefoot. The side of the shoe is a little tight or it's the material as you pointed out. Wish the toe box was a little bigger and I dont think they make a wide. Still a good shoe and still use it
i think there's probably a happy middle ground between keeping that racer fit and the blisters that this shoe initially gave me
I’ve been running the brooks ghost for years and I’m finally branching out (hoping to pick up some speed) I currently have a brooks ghost and the Pegasus turbo 2.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
i would probably pick the carbon x. but i've seen it go either way with a lot of people.
waiting your review of the Nike Infinity Reacts in triple black!
i don't have the triple blacks
Which shoe would best compliment this on a two or three pair rotation?
Hi Kofuzi, very nice video! have been following your channel for a long while... anyway, i have been running with my Carbon X and completed my first Full Marathon in Osaka in last Dec. I am now thinking to get a new pair of shoes for my LSD and tempo training... tried on the Rincon, but it feels very similar to Carbon X (may be my feeling is wrong) and Clifton 6 but not very sure about it... also waiting to try Elevon 2... what would you recommend? comparing to Nike React and Asics Novablast... just too many options out there... :)
Great review.Thanks.
thanks for watching tman!
Compare with beacon 2, if u have to pick one..
Did you forget to rename the video lol
I can get the Rincons and the Turbo 2s at the same price. Which one would you recommend for a full marathon? (or any other recommendations/thoughts?)
I have both. Turbo 2's are in a league of their own. The foam quality is brilliant and much more responsive. Hoka foam isn't as responsive and like the man here said, they flatten out.
Turbo 2’s are better shoes but aren’t really meant to race further than a 5k, Rincon are a better marathon show
I know the reviewers tend to prefer the Rincon, but I'd take the Turbo 2. Cushion more noticeable, more bouncy, but with less inherent stability, less breathability (Rincon mesh is great) and worse fit (on me). EVA doesn't do it for me. And the Turbo 2 sole has lasted well for me.
Great review! I love the rincon for long runs and used it for my first half marathon. Do you think it can make it to 300 miles or so?
Laura Luvs2run oh good god yes. I ve got 500 on a pair of rincons. Going to be buying another pair...
My Rincons just hit 321 miles. As much as I love them I have to admit, they're done. Great shoe though. The longevity is the only disappointment.
David Nasemann I’m just glad they weren’t as expensive as other shoes. I’ve already noticed wear on the bottom just from running 30 miles in them. I would definitely buy another pair! Interested to see what the next version will be.
What sneakers to buy: pegasi 36 or pegasi 35 turbo or epic react 2
35 turbo!
I think it depends on what you’re looking for and what else you might already have
@@kofuzi I train athletics. And I need a sneaker for my daily athletic training. For both short and long and long distances.
I am going to assume that that is your attempt at constructive feedback. Thank you for your input
Is the Rincon like this, or did you find it stretched a little more to conform to the shape of your foot?
htmonaro1969 that’s completely fine. My pair are also like that and I have 200+ miles and no wear to the upper at all
What does a "100 Mile Shoe" mean?
I'm at about 700km in the NewBalance Beacon2 - holding up very well and they work amazing across speed work & long runs - do you think the Rincon stands equal on this? Thanks for your great reviews!
I have Rincon and Beacon v1, both at about 375km. I would say the Beacon midsole has been more true to original feel and Rincon did flatten out. However, I will still take Rincons out on a longer run (20km) where Beacons always have topped out at about 16km for me. I am a little heavier at 84kg, so I know many lighter runners can take the Beacon much farther.
Ride comparison with beacon please??

I'm trying to buy a running shoe, I have problems with shin splints and want to run on trail AND road in one pair of shoes. Help?
Clifton 6
@@kofuzi anything else?
At this point would you go back and buy it with your own money if it wasnt provided to you. I love my rincons a ton but am deciding if I want to buy another pair when I retire them.
i currently have a long backlog of shoes in need of testing, so i don't particularly need to buy any shoes for a while.
but i would gladly buy the next iteration of the Rincon (although I would hope that someone sends me a pair to review).
Can you comment on the differences compared with the current Vomero 14? I'm looking for a long run/easy cushioned (neutral) shoe...
this isn't a long run/easy cushioned (neutral) shoe
it's only two of the four of those things
Hi. Do you think that the Rincon would be a good pair with the Triumph 17?
Rincon was WAY too narrow and firm for me. I refuse to force my foot to adapt to a shoe that just does not fit. I wanted to like it, but just wasn’t for me.
i've heard similar from others
you crazy dodging lake michigan!
I've been avoiding it a lot, too. the lake has been taking a lot of victims this winter
I’ve been curious; why do you have to ‘swim’ your shoes?
Off topic, but what cold weather jacket do you wear on your runs?
i have a variety that i have been liking this winter. it's been mild, so there have been a lot of options that I like from TCA and Uniqlo. stay tuned for tomorrow's video.
What is the background music? @kofuzi
i source all my music from epidemic sound
@@kofuzi thanks for the recommendation, I'm just getting tired of the Ghosts and Pegasuses I've used
What are the differences from the Rincon to the Hoka Cavu 2
i can't answer that. i've never tried a Cavu
So you're telling me I can have these shoes for like 5 years lol
I think a shoe’s foam degrades over time, regardless of mileage
@@kofuzi no I know. I'm making a joke saying I dont a lot. Lol certainly not hundreds of miles
I'm used to Adidas Ultraboosts sizing wise. Would you say these are true to size?
for me they were. same size 9 in: UB19, UB20, SL20, Adios 5, Boston 8, Adios 4, Rincon, Clifton 6, Bondi 6, Carbon Rocket.
@@kofuzi Awesome! Thank you 😁
Hey, Kofuzi.
@@kofuzi Going back to my original question, do you find it wears out faster with wear only on one side? After how many kms?
Rincon or Clifton....what is better?
for daily training - clifton
for fast long runs - rincon
if you're only going to get one - it depends on what you're looking for. see above.
Just got my pair a havnt really run in them yet, how would you compare them to the beacon? (which is my current favourite)
ua-cam.com/video/mQ1PVGNYDNE/v-deo.html
How do you get 100 miles in per shoes ? What’s the best budget do it all or the one ☝️ single year long shoe ?
I ran 2800 miles last year. I can’t imagine a shoe that can last that many miles
If you’re looking for a good value for a daily trainer, I’d recommend looking for a Pegasus 35, a beacon 1, or epic react 1
Do you feel like this would be a good choice for lower drop shoe for someone who is used to 8-10mm drop? Thanks!
I usually like 8-10mm drop shoes. I didn’t have any issues transitioning to this shoe
Has anyone raced marathon in these? Feedback?
Do you run with contact lenses?
yes
Would this be a good shoe for running 5k's?
as long as it's on road or similar, yes
How is this shoe for a forefoot striker?
I’m in my mid to forefoot when I’m at my faster paces. That’s when I like this shoe best
So how many miles can it take more before you throwing them away?
I typically donate shoes to charity after the 100 mile review
Thanks kofuzi
Rincon or NB Beacon?
ua-cam.com/video/mQ1PVGNYDNE/v-deo.html
They look destroyed. Are you sure that’s not 1k miles?
i've never run that much in a shoe
This one or ultra boost?
The answer might depend on what kind of running you’re looking to do in them, but I have not been a huge fan of UB for a while now. So, probably, I’d pick Rincon 1 (this video), Rincon 2, or Rincon 3
@@kofuzi what about UB 20 vs this hoka ?
Any shoes for flat feet?
i get this type of question a lot. do people with flat feet want a lot in the arch area of the shoe or do you want to have very little in the arch area of the shoe.
Kofuzi great
I got a 300 In them
nice work
