We got married on my first and only trip. That was four years ago, and we have been living together overseas ever since. Presumably this will not be a problem for us.
You are absolutely right. I met my fiance almost 5 years ago. She is from domincan republic,i am a dual US-venezuelan citizen. We been together for that long and we got two kids together as well and we now preparing our wedding. With all that is taking place now you got to make time to build a strong case if you got plans to bring your spouse from overseas to the US
What about people in the USA who met for the first time, got married same day and been together over twenty years? What am trying to say people do fall in love on first site and one of those officers might of had it happen to them.
*I married my spouse on my first trip to her country.* We have been communicating for years now. I'm planning to take a flight to her country again. Prices for travel and other things add up. It has been about a couple of months since I filed the I-130. It feels longer than that haha. It seems like I have a long trip ahead of me. Jim, you bring up very good points. Thank you for the video.
@@sarahtara943 Let me answer it in another way. Immigration officers may receive a lot of hate for denying and/or delaying applications. Let me tell you this, what they are doing are not always bad. I believe there are a lot of people who are willing to do bad things in order to immigrate to another country. We may think we know someone, but in truth, we may only know what we see. I believe immigration officers are doing a good job by delaying some applications. Some people are not so truthful.
This is good to know. We didn’t marry on our first in person meet I met the family and we spent time together. I returned back to the U.S and now after 9 months I will return to his country in a couple weeks and marry. We got a apartment there which makes it cheaper for lodging instead of Airbnb so it’s just flight ticket cost, because I plan to fly every 4 months to spend time with him , Maybe after a year of being married and several more trips I will apply for his residency here in the States. I love traveling abroad it gives me something to look forward to after working in a high demand work environment I can relax with my husband with no worries. In time God will bring us together without any time limits or boundaries!
Why isn't fiance visa scrutinized like this. Especially if the fiance is coming here for the 1st time?? They're forced to get married in 90 days. So realistically speaking, which 1 has the most fraudulent potential🤷🏾♀️
I myself am kind of curious. Ive been with her for 3 1/2 years and travel to our country over four times and met up with her in Spain as well. Even though I have a good paying job flying in and out of the country is a bit expensive. As far as marriage goes I'm a bit new to this never been married and not sure of the exact steps Because the Internet is very elusive on details😅 I don't want to take steps to make it seem like what I'm doing is fraudulent
My name is Maria and I live in Bremen Germany. I was married to a US Citizen until his death in Texas, near San Antonio, on November 18th of this year. We were married in Denmark in 2012. We separated in 2016 and he returned to the United States. I filed for divorce earlier this year however he never came to terms with it. Before he passed away he received a sizable inheritance from his parents after they passed away however I have no details regarding what that means though it did leave him financially independent. I am told that he had a Will and it passes everything down to only one of his sons. I am not sure whether I am entitled to anything from his estate or not; considering I was still lawfully married to him at the time of his death. If there is no chance under Texas law to collect from his estate then please let me know. The time being married to him took a financial toll on me and was glad to have him move back to the US. I have tried to request a certificate of death however the county websites are blocked to me from Germany, specifically the County sides, Texas page as I really don’t know where to start the whole process.
I got married 4 years ago in Philippines,, but not working out, there no divorce in Philippines, So can i divorce outside of Philippines are cant i married without it again, as i not post it in America, say i go to turkey, and met someone and marry there., this marriage nw is a money pit.
We got married on our first trip. We've known each other for about 1.5 years before doing it. It was impossible to meet up and do a few trips during covid. Right after countries opened up again due to covid, we just took the dive and did it, as we didn't know how long countries would stay open for. We filed straight after getting married, this was almost 12 months ago from filing date. Since then we've done visits back and forth. Hopefully we have enough evidence. On the trip, we gave it time and we could call it off at any time on the trip. But we both knew we wanted this and we wanted to be married to each other. My husband is in the USA and I'm in my country, I didn't go over to the USA to adjust status
We got married on his second trip. Been in a relationship for 1 year 10 months. We did a cultural traditional wedding, and a ceremony with an officiator. Will this be enough to prove our relationship? We have tons of pictures together, with my family. Unfortunately his family hasn’t met me yet but definitely in support. Should we wait for his family to meet me before filing for a CR1? Thank you 😊

It is wrong to bring your foreign spouse to USA to be alone! It can cause depression or anxiety! I attempted to commit suicide because of the culture shock while my husband is working for US military government! He always leave me alone and I am unable to travel since he is not rich!!! On top of this is the travel documents in order to travel will take time!

Don't just get married because you are oversea. At least know the person that you are marrying because you don't know a person just because you speak on WhatsApp. Maybe it might work but stay safe. Marriage is life long so be careful who you join yourself to. Many people are in hell because they married the wrong person. Pray for discernment from Jesus Christ. Amen, this is exactly why I married my husband almost 3 months ago. Although, I can attest that you can get to know a person over WhatsApp because it covers all forms of communication. The only thing that will be different in person is lifestyles and how you will blend as a couple, but this is true with most couples, especially Christian ones who decide to wait to do everything until after they are married.
