This is the coolest model I have ever seen. I built a 3 foot enterprise and I painstakingly did it inch by inch re-creation of the 11 foot model as seen at the Smithsonian. But I did see the Smithsonian display had a spare hydrogen collector, that I swear it was orange, but I have no way of knowing if it was the original.
Thank you, Brian. I'm working on an update to this video now. If you mean the orange nacelle domes, no it was not original. The originals were frosted white to diffuse the light and the lighting inside the dome gave it the colors as I've described in other videos. Just had this conversation again last night. Glad you enjoyed the video... More to come. =/\=
I did one a couple of years back, probably closer to four. I have a complete and accurate interior and crew for you to print. Let me know how to get ahold of you as I have a LOT of TOS and other models.
So at 1/200 scale The Constitution class will be almost exactly 4 feet in length, and the D7 is just a tad over 3 and a half feet. Here is a shot of my first D7 warp engine that I have designed and 3D printed: ua-cam.com/video/vEAkS63ILwU/v-deo.html

Again, glad to do it. =/\=
Thanks for this demonstration
I’m going to agreeing with you the lighting was really coming from the dome of worp cells
I am also working on a 1/25th scale shuttlecraft for the man in England that is making the 1/25th scale Enterprise.
