My favourite part of Christmas is Christmas Eve, 15 minutes before you finally go to bed, and you switch off the telly, look around the front room with all the presents and decorations and the whole house is silent except for the dog snoring in his basket, these are the things that show that you are truly blessed.
This sounds just like my Christmas eve as well, my friend 👍☺️ even down to the snoring dog in her bed next to the tree. You are totally right, you are as blessed as I am. Thanks for the awesome comment, this one has put me in the Christmas spirit more than most 😊🎄
My favourite part of Christmas is seeing my family. My 97 year old grandad lives an hour and a half away, my brother lives over 2hours away and my dad has incurable cancer. Making memories with these special people means more than anything. Time waits for noone and its so precious! Xxx
My favourite thing about Christmas is the smells. I love having a real tree and lots of natural greenery in the house. The warm smell of the fire, spices and food.
The best part of the season was on Christmas Eve. Loaded the car with the kids, travel cups of hot mulled cider, and pillows for the back seat. We'd travel around looking at the lighted decorations rating them on a scale of one to ten until the kids fell asleep. Worked every time.
Best part of Christmas is family. Lost my husband 9 years ago. Kids are grown now but the noise in the house and laughter is what it’s all about. You gave this Mom a lot of memories with her kids here Martin and that’s a gift that’ll last a lifetime. Merry Christmas to you and yours ❤
Thank you 😊 🙏 the same to you and yours 🥰 Apologies for the late reply. This Christmas video has so many amazing comments on that it's taking me ages to reply 😂 but they are all putting me even more into the Christmas spirit. Thanks again Martin
Hey Martin! It's Danielle from Texas again...LOL. This is the sweetest garden you cleaned up. I don't know why I get so much satisfaction watching garden clean ups like this....don't worry, I'm not neglecting my own garden but it sure gives me some inspiration. Here in Texas it's been in the high 60's temperature wise and a bit soggy where I live because with a yard full of heavy clay it doesn't drain too quick when it rains. It's ok to celebrate Christmas early....here in the states the stores have had Christmas stuff up since September...LOL, that's early so your just about on time...LOL I will be decorating for Christmas this Thanksgiving weekend [it's always been my personal tradition to do it then]. oh my favorite thing at Christmas used to be the first snow fall having been born in Michigan. But Texas doesn't really snow here in Texas so I guess my favorite thing now would be watching all the Christmas movies. I'm alone now so Christmas is what ever I want to make it. So Merry Christmas to you and your family. Hugs from your friend in Texas. 🌧🎄🎁
Hey Danielle 👋 😊 The stores over here are the same 😂 they put away the BBQ and patio furniture and break out the Halloween stuff, closely followed by the Christmas stuff 😂 the kids absolutely love it though, so I don't mind really. 60 degrees? Wow, that's my perfect t-shirt wearing weather 😁 Well, I hope you manage to make yourself a wonderful Christmas. There's nothing wrong with looking forward to Christmas films. I do, even though I've seen them all dozens of times. I think I'll start off with Die Hard and move straight on to It's A Wonderful Life 😂 I like mixing it up a bit. Take care Martin
Thank you for clearing out the suffocated corner, which reminds me of setting up the Nativity scene for Christmas. We often forget to truly grasp that (not only Christmas) we are creating memories. They will not all be perfect or even good. We can strive to make gatherings "better" or easier, simpler, even releasing the burden of financial stress. Do not let your "holiday" become as that thorn-filled corner. Do not hold so tight to "shared tradition" that the flock cannot know the peace and safety of staying home and warm and not rushing on winter roads. Peaceful and free of ridicule or discontent is a wonderful gift too. Christmas is represented here and there in my home all year long, along with plenty of Autumn's brilliance before the leaves are released to fall to the ground, in hopes that some guy with a mower will mulch them to baby food and leave them for "mother" to feast along with everything else which benefits from nourishing the ground. Thankful.
What awesome gifts you give, I'm a big fan of handmade gifts. Everyone should do it. It's far more special if you ask me ☺️ you have very lucky friends and family.
My favourite part of Christmas is the anticipation of the warmth of gathering with family & friends and the silence late at night when the hectic activities are done.
For the last almost 16 years my favorite part of Christmas is that it is also my youngest’s birthday. When she was about to turn 4 she asked me why we didn’t put the tree and lights up for her sister’s birthdays too. Her little self had assumed all our Christmas decorations were just how birthdays were supposed to be celebrated, no matter the time of year. ❤ So as you can imagine, I was asked to put up some Christmas decorations when her sister’s birthdays came around. 😊
My favorite part of Christmas is the movies! I've long since lost count of the number of times I've watched White Christmas, as well as A Charlie Brown Christmas. They both transport me to a world of happy endings ❤. Gotta love fiction 😂.
Haha, it's only a sprinkle of fiction 😅 happy endings do exist. I'm with you on the Christmas films though, it's crazy how many times you can watch the same film 😂 It's A Wonderful Life and Die Hard are my first viewings for December 😂🧑🎄🎄
Best part of Christmas is having the family gathered in one place. I have 3 sons, one that comes from Wisconsin, one from Colorado and the third in moved to Tennessee where we moved about 8 years ago. Just having the grown sons in the same room and listening to them laughing and getting along brings such joy to my heart. Love watching you make over these overgrown gardens into master pieces for the owners to enjoy.
Good evening Martin! I remember this garden cleanup! I loved watching you bringing this garden back to life! All your hard work and effort shows.😊. I also love the Christmas Season. I love the fact that Jesus was born and we can celebrate his birth. It is a time for rejoicing and singing carols. And putting gifts under the tree in the anticipation of Christmas morning. My husband and I also love to see all the houses and stores lit with lights and bells ringing! Just beautiful, absolutely beautiful! Take care and God bless you and your sweet family. Have a wonderful weekend. Sincerely, Diane from Missouri. 😊❤😊
Oh my why are you so cute ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 I’ve seen ALL of your UA-cam video and I do adore you so much because you have kind and warm personalities and nice skills to make mowing as a cool thing. Greeting for Taiwan Teipei 😊
Without digging out all the roots of the brambles I can't imagine a young mother managing this backyard, terible! My hat off to you for tackling this mess!
My favourite time is the build up to Christmas, buying presents and decorating the house. Family coming over and all being together having a lovely meal. Then in the evening watching good films, aw forgot and the chocolates 😂
I enjoy Christmas and the holiday season as it allows me to slow down and spend quality time with family and friends. I hope you have a relaxing holiday season. 🥰
My favorite part of Christmas is spending time with family. Of course lots of food. These last few years instead of gifts we plan an experience, which involves meeting somewhere and enjoying time together.
The garden shed you cleared reminds me of the Christmas Nativity setting. My favorite thing about Christmas as a Christian is the miracle of the birth of Christ. Family gatherings are wonderful, too. Thanks for what you do to help people. Merry Christmas from the US.
Christmas Eve: my favorite part of Christmas is a decades long tradition of family and friends gathering at our house on Christmas Eve. I prepare a simple dinner, followed by chocolate fondue. Afterwords, we play fun, and often silly games. Small gifts are exchanged under the twinkling lights as we sit around the tree. After everyone leaves, I sit with my beloved cats and read “A Cat’s Christmas” to them-and not all are as intrigued as I am by the yearly reading. A gentle and comfortable evening shared with those I love…I don’t believe there could be anything better.
The best Christmas is having my adult children come home and wanting to do all the traditions they did as kids and watching them act like kids again! Enjoy all your videos, they are so relaxing to watch.
That's amazing 😅 I'm glad your kids still do that. Mine are all still very young, but it warms my heart to hope they'll not change that much when they're older 😂 although I hope they help with the cooking 😅
My favorite thing about Christmas is being with family. And sitting inside in front of the fireplace while it's snowing outside with a cup of hot chocolate.🥰☕️❄️☃️🎄
My favorite part of Christmas is the chocolate covered cherries, and the memories. Growing up, my Dad always bought each of us kids a huge peppermint stick, and a box of chocolate covered cherries for my Mom. After he passed, I always made sure my Mom got a box of them at Christmas. Now that she has also passed on, I still buy them every year.
My favourite part of Christmas is being reminded of the many Christmas days I have had in the past. I loved remembering the excitement of being a child and the excitement the night before and on the actual days. I remember the many Grandparents and Aunties and Uncles who have long passed on and some who are still alive and have now become Grandparents and Great Grandparents and spend the special day with their ever growing families. I remember my cousins and us playing with our Christmas toys. I remember my father, and waking him and my mother up early on Christmas Day and the many Christmases with my brothers and sisters and with their children, and it seems like a lifetime ago since we all could be together. My father has now passed on and my mother is elderly. There will be no more Christmas feasts prepared by them. The honour has been passed on to us and now to our Children who now cook for us. I do know we had difficult times at Christmas. Sad times as we are forced to notice loved ones who have passed. Times where too much alcohol caused stupid arguments. We were sure at the time that Christmas would be ruined for that year. It didn't though. There have been new children born who always forced us to be happy and joyous for their sakes more than our own and led to us enjoying the day despite our misgivings. Christmas is about giving in many more ways other that gifts. Its about creating the gift of joy and happiness of being together, that can last a lifetime and be passed on.
My favourite thing is having my grown up children and family around the table for Christmas dinner. My husband passed away 10 years ago and I have been trying to maintain the garden on my own ever since. Wish I lived in Nottingham, I would definitely employ you to do my garden 👨🌾 Hope you and your family have a wonderful time together, Happy Christmas Martin 🎅🏻🎄
Oh dear, well I'm glad you're managing the garden so far. You know me, if you were in Nottingham, I'd do it for free 😅 you wouldn't need to employ me. Thank you for the lovely comment, I hope you have a great Christmas. Martin
I think the best thing about Christmas is remembering what it's all about. The birth of Jesus who came to redeem us all and family & friends everyone caring & sharing with each other, not just at Christmas but every day.because I think this is the best thing this whole world needs.Have a lovely Christmas to you& your family .God bless.😊😊😊😊
My favourite bit about Christmas is my grandson's face opening his presents. This year we have a new grandson who will be 10 months. Can't wait to see them both opening their presents. Then spend the rest of the day celebrating with my daughter and son in law son and daughter in law my partner and even my ex husband. Usually my daughters inlaws as well but they can't make it. Oh and Can't forget Duggie the bulldog ❤
My favorite thing about Christmas is that for the most part, the stores are closed and the madness of November and December are finally over. Time can be spent with family and friends, with good food and the enjoyment of thoughtfully chosen gifts. It’s a good time to reflect on the past year and the reason for Christmas itself.
My favorite part of Christmas is easy, watching reruns of the adverts of when I was a child. It evokes all the memories of family, food, fun, stress, smells. In the afternoon of the big day my mum would get out her piano accordion and play by ear all the carols while her seven children all sang along. She never learned to read music but could play both sides of the accordion. My dad was a chef all his life so we had a more than worthy feast. Boxing Day was great fun too with games and leftovers. We’d finish the turkey around Jan 4th (just kidding)!! My younger sister and I would fill mum’s shopping trolley with the empty Corona bottles and get more pop with the returns money. The Famous Grouse and the Paxo ads always stir the memories up xx
My favorite part of Christmas is trimming the Christmas tree with nostalgic ornaments from years gone by, and telling the stories about why they are so special. Merry Christmas, Martin, to you and yours, from Virginia, USA.
Oh yes, the old Christmas tree decorations. At one time, they were the ones me and my siblings had made at school. And now they are the ones my children have made at school 😊 Thank you for the wonderful reminder 🎄🧑🎄🙏 And a very merry Christmas for you in Virginia, all the way from Nottingham. Martin.
Christmas dinner with my family is my favorite part. This year we've agreed not to discuss politics. If you haven't guessed, we're in the US. I kept thinking as you were trimming vertically, there's got to be a fence there. And finally there was. That sure opened up a beautiful view. Great job!
I would have to say the memories, memories of family; so many of ours are gone now; that's why the traditions mean so much now!!! I loved the job you're showing now!!!
I love the traditional Christmas hymns and music, especially when sung by a choir with an organ, bells, piano, harp… okay, maybe a full orchestra, too! ❤
Christmas is always best when there are little children to enjoy the gifts. We used to wrap crayons up individually just to watch the joy on their faces when opening them.😊
That's a fantastic idea! 😅 although, I would guess rather time-consuming on the wrapping front 😂 One year, I wrapped up a watermelon for my 4 year old daughter. She absolutely loved it. She walked around with it under her are all day! 🥰 I agree about watching the kids open presents, it's just simply the best thing ever. Even when it's 5am and I feel like falling asleep on Christmas morning.
I loved this garden the first time you did it, and again today, especially the corner you cleaned up, revealing a little nativity look-a-like. My favorite thing about Christmas is being with my family. Sadly, I don't have my 3 core family members any more: Momma (2023), Daddy (2015), and my brother (2021.) We didn't do anything for Christmas last year after losing Momma; it was too hard.. grief is hard especially during the holidays. I'm trying to focus on who's left: my niece and Fiance. We might even put up the tree. I am jealous you have snow... I absolutely LOVE the snow. 🤞I get it by Christmas. Blessings to you and yours this holiday, from Washington State. 💛🖤💛 Stacy
It's as though people become nicer, happier. If only that would stay around all year long. Family, being able to gather with all your family and just enjoy the togetherness.
The best thing about Christmas is putting 5n3 garden to bed. Planted the bulbs trimmed all the plants back and washed down 5he slabs. Then it's time to relax with the dog in front of the fire. Check in with elderly neighbours to see if they need any Christmas shopping. Drive around to look at all the houses decked out for Christmas. Love hearing the church bells ring.
That all sounds absolutely perfect 😊🙏 I think reading these comments is actually making me feel more festive, plus they are giving me some great ideas as well. Thanks again 😊
My favourite part of Christmas is spending quality time with my family and friends. Nobody's rushing around it's just so much more relaxed. I love the Christmas lights too brings a bit of cheer to the cold dark winter nights
That's a tough question since Christmas has always been my favorite holiday. I guess it would have to be the decorations. They were always so special and only came out once a year. All the streets decorated with lights and putting up the tree. I would spend hours wrapping the lights around our tree and deciding where to put the ornaments. Everything is so pretty that time of year with tinsel and shiny bobbles. I remember telling my auntie to buy the sweaters with all the sequins on them and wondering why she would always say no. I know it's a little campy now, but I still love sequins and shiny things! I just put up our Christmas lights the outside the other day, and so have some of my neighbors. I love it! There is just something so whimsical and comforting about Christmas lights.
I must admit that the Christmas time is somehow a weird time for me. Probably because I’m not a Christian and all that made up happiness is too stressful to me… but… I like putting up lights and a little decoration. One of my sons will come over from Germany, so that will be wonderful for me ❤
My favourite part of Christmas is watching my grandsons and their classmates perform the Christmas Story at the church. I always take extra tissues because I've never been able to keep my eyes from leaking! 😍
From Christmas I only miss the childish innocence I had. The excitement that I felt about silly things just for the sake of it. Looking for presents around the house. That curiosity of not knowing what I was going to find was unmatched. I found it so much fun to have to find them. I miss decorating the huge tree we had. And being given coal for being a piece of junk. I miss having those silly wishes I had (e.g. one time I told my mother that I wanted a horse or at least a Pony on the terrace of our apartment). I miss writing the letter to the Three Wise Men and looking in the Juguettos magazine. Going to collect candy from the parade with an umbrella bigger than me to leave the other children with nothing LOL. I miss being scared watching the Grinch movie. And the Christmas projects they gave us at school. I miss how kind she was. I miss playing with other children and how I would go crazy with a toy that I would throw away after three days. I miss believing that the Three Wise Men and Santa Claus were real. And the lights in the hallways of the house. The Santa Claus hats were also great. The family dinners (the prawns and chocolate were the best LOL). The grapes at the end of the year were also the best (they always had to give me them peeled because I've been very demanding since I was little LOL). I miss hating those romantic movies on TV that they always showed during the holidays and making a face and complaining that they were so cheesy LOL (I still think the same).
One great Christmas Memory from way back in the day - At the end of Midnight Mass, the priest had big smile on his face and asked us to join him in singing Happy Birthday to the Baby Jesus! Whatta’ concept!! Everyone left the church in even higher spirits! It was quite an experience and the new tradition lingers on…. ❤🙏👍🫶🏻
This video, one of my favs! My favorite things about christmas is everything! Shopping the hustle and bustle, the food, family, and most of all the birth of Christ❣️
My favourite thing about Christmas is Christmas Eve. Presents wrapped food bought and the caked iced. Then I can relax. Please don’t t include me in the Christmas present draw. I am just entering into the spirit of it all. I have enjoyed watching you garden. I recently moved to a house that has been empty for at least a year and neglected for a longer but I am sure it was loved once. You have given me inspiration to get on with it although I am 70 in a couple of weeks I am getting through the tangles bit by bit and it’s beginning to look ok. So thank you for the work you do. I have the same tools with changeable ends. They are great aren’t they.
Martin, my Christmas now is very different than it used to be. I love the quiet, calm day we have now. My daughter and her family live in Minnesota. They don’t come down for Christmas. My brothers and sister have children and grandchildren they celebrate with. That leaves me and my son. We celebrate by watching Christmas movies and eating. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas with all the trimmings.
Bless you 🙏 ☺️ although it may be different. It still sounds like a fantastic Christmas 🎄 🧑🎄🎄 Christmas films and eating, that's the cornerstone of an awesome festive period 😅
My favourite things about Christmas is often remembering Christmases past and how great it was to be a child. I also love Christmas dinner as it's the one time I get to enjoy the veg rather than being forced to just have carrots and brocolli every week as they are all that my daughter will eat! Bring on the sprouts with chestnuts and bacon!
In spite of a long period of loss and grieving...I'm still looking forward enjoying Christmas and its joyful atmosphere 😊 I'm fond of all Christmas lights and I hope this will be a good medicine for our souls. . Happy Christmas, Martin!
I love the food, family, and the magical feeling the decorations give. By the way, I have tiered garden beds that require a lot of work but look stunning when I can stay on top of the weeding.
Best thing about Christmas is that it seems like people are caring more for each other. Helping those who doesn’t have a family or a place to live or whatever. ❤🙏 Ho ho ho……. happy Christmas to you and your family Martin and to all on this channel 🎅🏾🎄❄️🍗
Christmas is amazing because it brings family together and makes us think of others. The second best thing is all the festive lights in the dark streets hehe 😊 love your videos Martin
I totally agree 👍 😊 I hope you have a wonderful time. I'm also chuffed to bits that you're enjoying the videos. You keep enjoying them, and I'll keep making them 😊👍
My favourite thing about Christmas is the 2 weeks annual leave from the office 😄 Hoping to get in the garden and install a wooden arch, if the weather allows.
My favorite part of Christmas is going to candlelight service on Christmas Eve and then going to dinner. I love celebrating Jesus birthday. I like looking at all the lights and seeing so many happy excited faces. Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas!
My favourite part of Christmas has to be the opening of presents which is only done after I have cooked a special Christmas breakfast of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon for the whole family. The rest of the morning is spent preparing for Christmas dinner and somewhere in that time is a family quality time together walking the dogs over the forest.
My favorite part of Yule is feeding everyone. Then when they've gone home with a full tummy, and a few small gifts I can relax in the peace and quiet knowing everyone had a lovely day.
You sound like a wonderful yule host 😊 I bet you send everyone away happy and coming back for more the next year 😅 Best yule wishes all the way from Nottingham.
Martin, my favorite part of Christmas time is spending time with loved ones and listening to beautiful old Christmas music. Gifts have never been important to me just spending time with loved ones. Beautiful transformation in time for the holidays. I really liked those three matching pots you exposed as you cut thru the brush.🎄🎅🏻Thank you for your kindness👍🏻 you will reap it ten times fold. Merry Christmas Martin to you and your family.
I remember this one. Enjoyed it the second time too. That was really a gift to that new mother. I think my favorite part of Christmas is the moment you light up the christmas tree for the first time , and then just sit and enjoy it with a good cup of coffee and homemade gingerbread cookies. Oh, and I love the music. Listening and singing (not that my voice is very good, but still feels lovely.) Merry Christmas!
I remember this garden well. When a transformation. I always wonder if the section thru the gate got sorted and what it looked like. My best bit about Christmas is watching my eldest dog turn into a toddler, ripping open her presents, "helping" everyone else with theres and eventually crashing with a tummy full of turkey 😂
I enjoy time with family, enjoying how my adult kids still enjoy getting pyjamas and socks for Xmas. (One year I didn’t because I thought they were too old. I found out they still wanted these traditions!) now I make sure some are funny, some are serious. Also, can I still figure out what they don’t know that they want.
Like most of the comments is family, but mine are either living in different states or has passed away. Both my sons are grown living their lives the way they want it. Enjoy your time with your family this season.
Well, I hope they return home for the holidays to see their mum 🤞🙏 Check me out saying holidays like an American 😂 instead of Christmas. My U.S. viewers are changing me 😊 pretty soon, I'll be saying Fall instead of Autumn.
Hello Martin! My favorite thing about Christmas is how it reminds us to be kind and help others no matter what form that takes. Thank you for the fabulous videos but more importantly for helping others in your community. I wish you and yours a happy and healthy Christmas and a wonderful New Year!❤
Hi Martin, that's a lovely gesture although your videos already feel like a little gift every week! 🎁😄👍 Hope you and your family have a fantastic Christmas and you all get to enjoy your favourite bits too❤🎄🎅🎁🎉✨☃️🦃🍺
Martin, I enjoy spending Christmas with my family, eating around the table.Merry Christmas from me and my family, from Murfreesboro, TN USA. Martin the garden looks awesome, great job cleaning up this garden. God bless the homeowner and Family. God bless you Martin, God bless your Family.
Martin I really enjoy watching you on the discovery of this magical garden . What a surprise!!!! love it. Well Christmas for me is all year.... this episode was a gift for me . Thank you Martin . From Canada. 😇💖💯👍
that was some work out no gym needed after that 😱 best for of xmas is when it's over i've spent a lot of years on my own but i wish others a happy one 🙂
I love Christmas day but ADORE Boxing Day all those onions and bell peppers to sow in anticipation of a fruitful and beautiful garden to come God Bless
Best part of Christmas for me was having all my grandchildren around , spending one evening packing everyone in the car and driving around looking at Christmas lights. We would get hot cocoa and candy canes before going to the Christmas Eve Candlelight service. Most of my grandchildren are all grown now and living far away, so this Christmas it will probably be just myself and my grown mother dole son if I feel up to It after I complete Chemo and Radiation therapy on December 19th.
Hi Martin, What I will enjoy most about Christmas is, Mum is still here to enjoy it with..What an Amazing yard you found under all that. ThankYou for thinking of others..I hope you and your Family and Friends have a Safe and Happy Christmas☃️🎄❤️🙏👍🤗 from Tasmania
Thank you very much 😊 I'm sure we will. I've another child due any day now, so it'll be an interesting addition for Christmas 😅 Best of luck with your festivities, and I hope you and yours have a wonderful time. Thanks again Martin
@@martinthegardenguy Best wishes for your upcoming arrival. Must be very exciting counting down the days..You will all have a magical time making memories for years to look back on. Stay Safe Take Care 🎄☃️❤️🙏🤗
I’m not a Christian either but it’s the time of the winter solstice when the days slowly get longer. A good time of year to catch up with family and friends and to enjoy all the celebrations! 🎅🏻🎄
That's a great comment ☺️👍 nothing wrong with celebrating the winter solstice. I do also 🙏☺️ although I celebrate all the seasons in one way or another. Winter is a great time to catch up with friends and family. I hope you're not offended if I wish you a merry December and hope you get to see all your friends and family over the holiday period 🤞😊
A really great video. The feeling of excitement and joy and the Christmas ornamental process and the colors that excite the senses. What really brings on the joy and happiness is a snowy walk through the streets all ablaze with colors. For me it’s a dream of the past because I’m in Florida and that’s not a really Christmas atmosphere. I don’t want any prize for this, thanks because I don’t garden anymore.
My favourite part of Christmas is when it's finally over 😅
My favourite part of Christmas is Christmas Eve, 15 minutes before you finally go to bed, and you switch off the telly, look around the front room with all the presents and decorations and the whole house is silent except for the dog snoring in his basket, these are the things that show that you are truly blessed.
This sounds just like my Christmas eve as well, my friend 👍☺️ even down to the snoring dog in her bed next to the tree. You are totally right, you are as blessed as I am.
Thanks for the awesome comment, this one has put me in the Christmas spirit more than most 😊🎄
Я прочла коментарии- плакала и улыбалась.
Рождество дает надежду.
My favourite part of Christmas is seeing my family. My 97 year old grandad lives an hour and a half away, my brother lives over 2hours away and my dad has incurable cancer. Making memories with these special people means more than anything. Time waits for noone and its so precious! Xxx
My favourite bit of Christmas is watching my nephews opening their gifts❤❤
The person who created this lovely garden, wherever he/she is now, would be very happy to see the second life you gave it 🙂👍👌🌿🌸
My favourite part of Christmas is watching those classic festive movies… such as Die Hard and Die Hard 2 😂
I remember this transformation, Martin. You'd never know now what a mess it was. I'm enjoying watching it again
Thank you 😅 I'm glad you didn't mind watching it again. It's been terrible gardening weather.
There's a frest one for this Friday 🤞😥
My favourite thing about Christmas is the smells. I love having a real tree and lots of natural greenery in the house. The warm smell of the fire, spices and food.
The best part of the season was on Christmas Eve. Loaded the car with the kids, travel cups of hot mulled cider, and pillows for the back seat. We'd travel around looking at the lighted decorations rating them on a scale of one to ten until the kids fell asleep. Worked every time.
My fav part of 🌲Christmas🌲 is watching Christmas movies, like Home Alone & the movie While you were sleeping.... 😊🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲
My favorite thing is just being with family as we are getting older cherish your family as much as you can you never know what the future holds
My favorite thing about Christmas is when it's over. It's an exhausting time of year.
Amen to that
Best part of Christmas is family. Lost my husband 9 years ago. Kids are grown now but the noise in the house and laughter is what it’s all about. You gave this Mom a lot of memories with her kids here Martin and that’s a gift that’ll last a lifetime. Merry Christmas to you and yours ❤
Thank you 😊 🙏 the same to you and yours 🥰
Apologies for the late reply. This Christmas video has so many amazing comments on that it's taking me ages to reply 😂 but they are all putting me even more into the Christmas spirit.
Thanks again
Martin
Hey Danielle 👋 😊
The stores over here are the same 😂 they put away the BBQ and patio furniture and break out the Halloween stuff, closely followed by the Christmas stuff 😂 the kids absolutely love it though, so I don't mind really.
60 degrees? Wow, that's my perfect t-shirt wearing weather 😁
Well, I hope you manage to make yourself a wonderful Christmas. There's nothing wrong with looking forward to Christmas films. I do, even though I've seen them all dozens of times.
I think I'll start off with Die Hard and move straight on to It's A Wonderful Life 😂 I like mixing it up a bit.
Take care
Martin
Thankful.
My favorite part of Christmas is giving handmade chrochet items to friends and family ❤❤❤
I'm with you on the Christmas films though, it's crazy how many times you can watch the same film 😂
It's A Wonderful Life and Die Hard are my first viewings for December 😂🧑🎄🎄
Oh my why are you so cute ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I’ve seen ALL of your UA-cam video and I do adore you so much because you have kind and warm personalities and nice skills to make mowing as a cool thing.
Greeting for Taiwan Teipei 😊
Greetings Taipei 😊👍🙏 thanks for watching. Best wishes from your Nottingham gardener 😁
Without digging out all the roots of the brambles I can't imagine a young mother managing this backyard, terible! My hat off to you for tackling this mess!
The best part has got to be the smiles on the little faces
My favorite thing about Christmas is Love. Celebrating the Father, Son and The Holy Spirit. ❤️🙏😎
My favorite part of Christmas is the light in the dark.
❤
My favorite part of Christmas is spending time with family. Of course lots of food. These last few years instead of gifts we plan an experience, which involves meeting somewhere and enjoying time together.
My favorite part of Christmas is having my daughter home from University. Happy Christmas, everyone.
My favorite part of Christmas is having the whole family together.we have such fun
My favourite part of Christmas is literally...not what's on the table it's who's around the table xx Merry Christmas Martin xx
My favorite Christmas tradition is the stockings on the mantle. I gather items all year to personalize each stocking. The yard looks fantastic
I just love having everyone home for Christmas. Who would have known, what a reveal. Thank you and and hope you and yours have your best Christmas👏💯🍾🍗
Couldn't agree more ☺️🧑🎄🙏🎄
I hope you have a fantastic one, best wishes and thoughts from Nottingham ☺️
And now they are the ones my children have made at school 😊
Thank you for the wonderful reminder 🎄🧑🎄🙏
And a very merry Christmas for you in Virginia, all the way from Nottingham.
Martin.
Best part is son coming back to his mum in Staffs from San Francisco where he lives
Christmas dinner with my family is my favorite part. This year we've agreed not to discuss politics. If you haven't guessed, we're in the US. I kept thinking as you were trimming vertically, there's got to be a fence there. And finally there was.
That sure opened up a beautiful view. Great job!
I love decorating my house!! It's a joy to do it. I hope you enjoy your Christmas with family and friends!!
Thank you very much 😊 I hope you do as well 🙏🧑🎄🎄
I would have to say the memories, memories of family; so many of ours are gone now; that's why the traditions mean so much now!!!
😅 although, I would guess rather time-consuming on the wrapping front 😂
One year, I wrapped up a watermelon for my 4 year old daughter. She absolutely loved it. She walked around with it under her are all day! 🥰
I agree about watching the kids open presents, it's just simply the best thing ever. Even when it's 5am and I feel like falling asleep on Christmas morning.
Wow. Who'd have guessed what structures were under all those brambles....well done you for clearing it all away.
That all sounds absolutely perfect 😊🙏
I think reading these comments is actually making me feel more festive, plus they are giving me some great ideas as well.
Thanks again 😊
My favorite thing about Christmas is remembering those during my childhood and thinking about the joy of children on Christmas morning.
My favourite part of Christmas is when it's over. Since my parents died within a year of each other, it doesn't have the same magic anymore 😢
My favorite part of Christmas is spending time with my grandchildren and putting the star on the tree. While watching Christmas shows.
One of my sons will come over from Germany, so that will be wonderful for me ❤
My favourite part is being with my family. I lost my husband who was only 52 so making Christmas special for the children is especially important xx
🎉 can’t beat the old songs 😄.
Best thing about Christmas is that it seems like people are caring more for each other. Helping those who doesn’t have a family or a place to live or whatever. ❤🙏
Ho ho ho……. happy Christmas to you and your family Martin and to all on this channel 🎅🏾🎄❄️🍗
My favourite part of Christmas is all the relatives coming to visit us. Make me feel the family bond. Greetings from Italy!
You sound like a wonderful yule host 😊 I bet you send everyone away happy and coming back for more the next year 😅
Best yule wishes all the way from Nottingham.
@martinthegardenguy Yeah they always come back, and I love cooking for them
Martin, my favorite part of Christmas time is spending time with loved ones and listening to beautiful old Christmas music.
What an amazing transformation 👏!! I love xmas 🎄 because of the birth of christ and being with family ❤!
Christmas is about spending quality time with my family, friends and my dog 🐕 🤎
Do you get your dog a Christmas stocking? Or is that just me ☺️😅
@martinthegardenguy haha yes I do. He's a very spoilt lad 🐕
Good, that must mean I'm normal then 😊 Although I probably should stop making mine a doggy Christmas dinner 😂 she just really loves gravy.
@martinthegardenguy when I go out for Sunday dinner I always bring him back my beef 😋 he loves it bless him
I enjoy time with family, enjoying how my adult kids still enjoy getting pyjamas and socks for Xmas.
Well, I hope they return home for the holidays to see their mum 🤞🙏
Check me out saying holidays like an American 😂 instead of Christmas.
My U.S. viewers are changing me 😊 pretty soon, I'll be saying Fall instead of Autumn.
🎁😄👍 Hope you and your family have a fantastic Christmas and you all get to enjoy your favourite bits too❤🎄🎅🎁🎉✨☃️🦃🍺
I love Christmas because it’s a time for family, good food, and a well-earned break from the daily grind!
Most of my grandchildren are all grown now and living far away, so this Christmas it will probably be just myself and my grown mother dole son if I feel up to
It after I complete Chemo and Radiation therapy on December 19th.
I've another child due any day now, so it'll be an interesting addition for Christmas 😅
Best of luck with your festivities, and I hope you and yours have a wonderful time.
Thanks again
Martin
My favourite part of Christmas is mulled cider and mince pies 😂
Can't argue with that one 😊👍 perfection.
