Ali was always in condition. He was big and heavy as a bisont but light as a dear. Ali still honorable to the end. Fly like a butterfly, sting like a bee.
He was in terrible shape a few times towards the end of his career. Such as his first fight against Ken Norton where he had nothing but the hope of rope a dope which didn't work because Norton didn't tire like that.
Great Upload Thank you, showcasing not just the skills of Ali and the power of Foreman but also the love that Dr Pacheco and Angelo had for Ali as well as the medias favoritism of Ali
This is great production considering the fact that you can learn more that you can not from other films on youtube. Especially what was happening in the background is more audible. Great!
Great Documentary ! New edits with the original film. One of the biggest upsets in Heavyweight Boxing History helping to cement Ali amongst the Greats ! #Inspirational
Just Got Done Watching This Historic Fight On It's 50th Anniversary Today And To Just Say I Was Amazed Is A HUGE UNDERSTATEMENT 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 On A Side Note Ali Was More Offensive Then I Thought And Most People Don't Point That Out 💯
All Ali's bouts were full of excitement. All the journalists all around the world had a field day each time Ali having press conferences, hearing thrash talks and poems by Ali . That's Ali . There no one boxer like him.
Correction, Ali was stripped of the WBA title for signing a rematch with Liston, but that was a cover for him associated with NOI. The WBC was in line to do the same but nobody in boxing circles respected the WBA champ ernie terrel. Later he was stripped of the WBC for draft issues.
"Ali was urinating blood for days afterwards" Wow didnt realize those bodyshots were doing so much damage. Probably the reason why Ali wasnt able to use his legs as much as his team wanted him to
Foreman was a formidable looking dude, just by his physical appearance alone, i don't see anyone else like not even Tyson, only Sonny Liston had the same scary presence like foreman imo
That ringside commentator was horrible. He said Ali was being punished tremendously to get an odd one in, and seconds before Ali KO'ed Foreman, he said Ali was so tired he could hardly lift his arms.
Bob Sheridan was amazing in that fight. Joe Frazier was at ringside saying Ali needed to get off the ropes. Literally right before the KO Sheridan said "maybe this is the strategy to let the man punch himself out" and within 10 seconds he was on the canvas. Go watch the American broadcast. It's as legendary as the fight itself to me.
I don't believe that rope thing with Dundee cos u hear him say I was slapping him to stay o the ropes so another myth on that magical legendary fight rip the greatest muhammad ali 🥊🙏
I never knew the back story to this fight until now. Especially that this was Gangster Donn King's first promotion. In 1974, I was shocked like everyone else about this fight. ABC showed this fight on Sat & Sun for the next 3 weeks & I watched EVERY rerun. THAT was how Unbelievable this fight was back then. Just learning that this was Donn King's debut promotion makes the fight less Unbelievable now. This was the 1st of Many Donn King fixed fights. Seeing this fight more objectively today, Foreman landed enough heavy punches in the 1st three rounds to knock Ali out. However, his punches simply didn't have the same power that they had in previous fights. THAT has Nothing directly to do with Ali, unless he was in on the fix. You heard how Foreman imported food & water from America because he was paranoid of getting poisoned. Well, it looks to me like they somehow drugged Foreman anyway. The idea that after several consistent fights, all of a sudden his punches lacked effective power against Ali is beyond believable. All the predictions back then were correct. Foreman should've destroyed Ali. It's only Ali's clown performance that distracted the public from the obvious truth.
It is not understood how Foreman planned this fight, Ali gave him an advantage by leaning on the ropes... which was better and more comfortable for George. I always suspected that Foreman did not arrive in good shape to this fight, due to emotional problems with his wife... that played against him... there is something suspicious too... George never landed the right hand to Ali's head well, otherwise he would be easy prey. Strange fight.
Not until he returned to boxing in 1987 after originally in 1977. 10 years out of boxing and he returned to win the Heavyweight championship of the world in 1994. One of the greatest achievements ever.
Don King was a blight on boxing; he should have been banned from boxing! He ruined Mike Tyson’s career. Whenever I saw Don King I got nauseated! Boxing would have been better without Don King.
Why does George Foreman to this day continue to refer to Ali as “Mohammed”? Ali’s first name was Muhammad and NOT Mohammed. To me, that is a sign of disrespect.
@@nickslade3978 I still think it is a sign of disrespect. George has never gotten over his loss to Ali and it shows in some of the comments he has made over the years.

How on earth does someone throw so many punches while moving backward???
Look at the Sonny Liston fight.. Ali did the same thing..

He trained to do it. He got it from Sugar Ray Robinson I think.
The punches were ordered, so the recipient came forward for the delivery 😂😂
